Marcos checks condition of evacuees in San Mateo, Rizal
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 24, 2025 visits the evacuation site in San Mateo, Rizal to check on the condition of the families affected by the combined effects of Severe Tropical Storm "Crising" and the enhanced southwest monsoon or “habagat.” The President, together with Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian, oversaw the distribution of relief goods to 546 families currently seeking shelter at the Maly Elementary School. Marcos is also expected to visit the Sta. Ana Covered Court Evacuation Center before proceeding to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City for a situation briefing.
