Marcos says govt 'finding ways' to provide continuing assistance to flood victims
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 24, 2025 says there is no let up in the government’s response amid the volatile weather. Speaking to reporters following the situational briefing he presided at the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, Marcos said they were 'finding ways' to reach areas severely affected by the massive floods caused by incessant heavy rains the past several days.

00:00As I told them today, this will happen this year, it will happen next year, it will happen a year after that, etc., etc.
00:08So we have to think in those terms.
00:10But I think thus far, kailangan talaga natin, unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the weather.
00:16And there are areas na hindi pa natin mapasok, but mag-aantay tayo pagpapa ng tubig.
00:21We are finding ways, kahit may mga rubber boat, mayroon tayo para magpadala ng doktor, magpadala ng gap, ng relief goods, o kung hindi, para i-evacuate yung tao.
00:33So we just continue to do what we always do.
00:37And so far, we are using the lessons that we learned from the previous storms.
