00:00:55Larry, a week ago on this program, we saw the NW at the end of the program up to their old tricks.
00:01:01We are right now, fans, 13 days away from Starrcade, Sting, and Hogan, and Sting reappeared one week ago.
00:01:09Yeah, we also saw the look on Hulk Hogan's face, that horrified, terrified look when he finally looked into the eye of the man he's gonna be with face-to-face at Starrcade.
00:01:21Out of the ceiling last week, the dummy dropped. The NW, as we said, picking up what we all thought at that time was the dummy.
00:01:30And Mike, add on in here, if you will, because the NW got a very, if I can use this term, rude awakening, because Sting, after a month, reappeared.
00:01:40Well, the NW have known for their mind games, it was an opportunity for Sting to turn the tables on the New World Order, and he sure did it last Monday on Nitro.
00:01:50Sting not only turned the tables, he shocked, as you said earlier, look at the face of Hollywood Hogan, and then Sting took control in the ring.
00:01:58Here is one man taking on the entire NWO, Larry.
00:02:02He caught the New World Order off guard, you saw the look of shock on Hollywood Hulk Hogan's face, and look at Sting, he's cleaning a house with all these cowards.
00:02:13And Hogan on the outside, Sting then gave Scott Hall the Scorpion death drop, but that was not all.
00:02:19He gave it to Kurt Henning, and then Hogan and Sting literally went face-to-face at the end of last Monday.
00:02:28And in 13 days, there'll be no holding him back. The biggest match in pro wrestling history will take place.
00:02:34Tonight on this program, as we head to Stargate, three hours in length, and Bret Hart is here tonight.
00:02:41That's been the talk of the wrestling world the entire weekend.
00:02:44Sure has, Tony. Ever since the NWO's futile attempt at singing O Canada several weeks ago on Monday Nitro, and their shocking announcement about Bret Hart, there have been questions galore.
00:02:55Tonight, Bret Hart is going to be at Nitro, and maybe we'll get those questions answered.
00:03:00Many people feel they do not believe he will be part of the NWO.
00:03:04We hopefully will answer that question tonight. One man that we know is part of the NWO, and one man who I personally called a coward this weekend on WCW Saturday night is Eric Bischoff,
00:03:15who also, in a matter of 13 days, must step in the ring with this man.
00:03:19Well, Mr. Bischoff is going to come face-to-face with his destiny, and Nitro is not going anywhere with that music.

00:13:25Well, what Ric Flair was referring to is a weekly column that Bret Hart writes for the Calgary Sun.
00:13:31His hometown newspaper in Alberta, Canada.
00:13:34And Hart has had some less than complimentary things to say about Ric Flair.
00:13:38Maybe tonight during Nitro, we'll get a response from the Hitman.
00:13:42I don't know, I hear all, I hear all the, you know, words being said, but I still, I didn't see Bret Hart come out with the New World Order at the beginning of the show here.
00:13:53That is a great point that we really didn't, when we saw him out here, a lot of times you get caught up in what they say and how they say it.
00:14:00And you don't really go around and look at the numbers, but you're right. I didn't even think about that.

00:14:48Well, certainly DiBiase can relate to Ray Traylor's situation, being a one-time member of the New World Order.

00:15:03Seeing the NWO in the introduction, first segment of our program,
00:15:06we saw Masa Chono from New Japan Wrestling.
00:15:09Boy, it's been quite a week for the NWO's Masa Chono,
00:15:13just named MVP of all the wrestlers for Team 97 in Japan,
00:15:18coming off a win in the New Japan Tag Team Tournament with the great Muda.
00:15:21And now Chono is on Nitro, and he's headed to Bremen, West Germany later this week.
00:15:25That shows you how truly international in scope a star he is.
00:15:29Well, let me tell you about the international scope of the New World Order.

00:20:17Those two matches are two of the biggest matches in the history of our sport.
00:20:22You're never gonna find a bigger world title match and go down and talk about the great world title matches
00:20:28throughout the great years of our sport, Mike, today, and the history of our sport.
00:20:34On top of the list, the two biggest stars are Sting and Hogan.
00:20:38We're gonna talk about that and continue on that thought in just a moment.
00:20:41But we wanna show you, Larry, how the Disco Inferno won the television championship.
00:20:46Do not forget the Disco very angry at Gene Oglin, his comment, said he would go out and remedy the fact he wasn't a champion.
00:20:52He went and he beat Saturn of Raven Slott.
00:20:55A determined Disco Inferno then got out of town before Raven Slott hit the ring.
00:21:01Congratulations, Mike Dene, to the new TV champ.
00:21:04Well, it was a new attitude employed by Disco Inferno last week on Nitro.
00:21:09Certainly was successful, first time out of the box, gaining him the World TV Championship for the second time.
00:21:15And here comes Disco, belt around his waist, to defend against Eugene Naga.
00:21:20And you know, it's great, Larry, to hear the fans here in Charlotte give the man an ovation because you appreciate determination, intensity, and hard work.
00:21:29And even though he has been a man who has lost his focus at times, I really thought last week he regained that focus and thus became a champ.
00:21:36Well, as time goes on and you mature, you realize what's important and what's not.
00:21:40And Disco after the years of struggle probably realize now that the gold is much more important than a few strands of hair on the top of your head.
00:21:50Well, this is going to be a test for Disco Inferno.
00:21:52Let's see if he can keep that concentration level at its peak.
00:21:55And he will need to against Eugene Naga.
00:21:58You know, we find ourselves every time we come to Nitro, we look around the announced team before.
00:22:04But the first thing we always do, it seems, is look high above the ranks.
00:22:07Look into the outer reaches of every arena we're in.
00:22:10Here we're in the Independence Arena here in Charlotte, North Carolina.
00:22:13This used to be the Charlotte Coliseum.
00:22:16And we have around 12, 13,000 fans in here.
00:22:20The new Coliseum belt for the Hornets just across town here.
00:22:23But this is a legendary arena venue in professional wrestling.
00:22:27And the fans here, wearing NWO shirts or wearing WCW merchandiser shirts, they're all looking up.
00:22:35They're all wondering if Sting will appear once again.
00:22:38But no one looking as hard as the New World Order.
00:22:41Let me tell you one thing, I've noticed a lot less New World Order shirts on the people of Charlotte, North Carolina.
00:22:48This is a town of tradition.
00:22:51And it was built on the blood, sweat, and tears of men like Ric Flair and Arn Anderson and Dusty Rhodes and Magnum TA and myself.
00:23:00And the list goes on and on.
00:23:02No room here for the New World Order.

00:23:18You know, we talked about, we saw Ric Flair's comments.
00:23:20And during the course of the week when we found out that Bret the Hitman Hart would make his Nitro debut here tonight in Charlotte,
00:23:28we wonder if Bret is showing up because of the comments made by Ric Flair.
00:23:34What does he have on his mind?
00:23:36He did not come out with the NWO.
00:23:38Could Flair's comments have prompted Hart's appearance here tonight?
00:23:42I would certainly think so.
00:23:43The timing of it would certainly lead us to believe that Bret Hart may have a response for Ric Flair.
00:23:49Well, you know, it could be Flair or it could be the point that the New World Order is so full of paranoia.
00:23:54I mean, afraid of Sting and what he'll do that they call him on if he is a part of the New World Order.

00:24:16we announced it this weekend on WCW Saturday night, had made a lot of demands on WCW.
00:24:22What those demands are, what in the world he is asking for, I don't know.
00:24:27But I do know that it's very apparent that even though he puts up a big, smiley, toothy facade,
00:24:34he does not want to get in the ring with you.
00:24:37He's a coward.
00:24:38You know, that big, toothy facade is on top of a soft, flabby body with little buggy-whipped arms.
00:24:45And I think that this group finally realized he shoved a foot in his mouth that he can't swallow.
00:24:52Yuji Nagata in control in this World TV title matchup with Disco Inferno
00:24:57and has the champ reeling and gasping for breath.
00:25:00Nagata trying every low road, every short cut that he can use.
00:25:05Well, he's also putting him in a position where Sonny Ono is close by,
00:25:09and we've seen Ono in the past lay some good kicks and punches in on some of these guys who get too close to him.
00:25:15Well, we've also mentioned that along with Ultimo Dragon,
00:25:19Yuji Nagata has the most lethal kicks in professional wrestling.

00:31:09You don't understand this, when you and Dean Malenko were together as a tag team partner here on Nitro a month or so back, you guys won the match.

00:31:19Hey, listen, everybody wanted to see the frog splash and he had to stick in his nose, you know, took advantage of the situation that I had everybody beat, came in and hogged up the glory with his Texas Cloverleaf move.
