00:00Nick Nolte stepped out for a boy's night out.

00:03The Prince of Tides actor made a rare public appearance recently,

00:06grabbing dinner with pals Sean Penn and Josh Brolin at Nobu Malibu, July 16th.

00:12For the star-studded outing, Nick showed off his longer gray hair as well as a scruffy white beard.

00:17The 84-year-old also wore a mint green button-down shirt with several buttons undone

00:22that he paired with black slacks and black sneakers,

00:25while Josh rocked a beige t-shirt and blue jeans.

00:27The trio worked together back in 2013, appearing in the film Gangster Squad.

00:33Nick and Sean had previously co-starred in 1997's U-Turn and The Thin Red Line in 1998,

00:39while Sean and Josh both appeared in 1997's Nightwatch,

00:43so the leading men have all known one another for decades.

00:46The Mandalorian alum is set to appear alongside Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry

00:50in the upcoming action flick Crime 101.

00:53That being said, he's been open about the fact that he's been a bit pickier

00:57about the roles that he takes on at this point in his career.

01:01Telling Insider in 2022, he says in an interview,
