Speaking to reporters, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) responded to some of his Republican colleagues going silent on the Epstein Files after calling for their release previously.
Transcript
00:00Mr. Nassi, there were so many of your colleagues who were once calling for this who have gone silent.
00:06Are you surprised at how quickly some of these so-called fighters for this information just disappeared?
00:13Look, I think politicians do not like conflict.
00:18They'd like to tell both sides that they're on their side.
00:21And so that's why we need an actual vote with the U.S. House of Representatives.
00:25I think any of my colleagues who you've implicated with that statement would probably vote yes to release the Epstein files.
00:35Do you think that those co-sponsors, Republican co-sponsors, are actually going to sign the discharge petition, though?
00:40Oh, yeah.
00:41I think all 10 of them or 11 of them will.
00:43I think there are some cognitive dissonance if you've co-sponsored this resolution and that you won't sign the discharge petition.
00:51And I actually don't believe any of my colleagues who've co-sponsored this wouldn't sign it.
00:57I mean, they're going to sign it.
00:59And if every Democrat signs it, we're going to get the Epstein files.
01:04Now, the Speaker of the House has a decision to make once we achieve 218 signatures.
01:11He has to decide if he himself is going to try to bring some resolution on the floor to hide this.
01:18And I think that's going to be a great tell.
01:21If he does, that vote will be the vote on whether we expose this pedophilia ring.
01:28Do you have any assurances from Democratic leadership that all Democrats will sign the discharge petition?
01:33I don't have any assurances from anybody.
01:36But I think if you're moral and upstanding and you want transparency and you want justice, you're going to sign this.
01:43Why do you think Trump...
