Prepare to see a piece of pop history from a remarkably different angle. While most of us are familiar with the iconic Band Aid 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' video that opens with a newspaper headline and shows all the stars arriving at the studio, it appears there was an earlier, alternative version aired on Top of the Pops on December 20th, 1984. This rarely seen cut features different camera shots and performances from artists not shown in the familiar edit, including Paul Weller, Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt from Status Quo, and even an appearance by Neil from The Young Ones!
Enjoy this fascinating glimpse of how the historic charity single's video was originally conceived.
