01:07Joining us today is Miss Abby Bassa of Kiss the Girl Events to help us get a better understanding

01:13of how to make the wedding of your dreams come to reality.

01:18Welcome Miss Abby, thank you so much for joining us.

01:21Hi Thea, thank you so much for inviting me.

01:23And of course, before we deep dive into the events and wedding industry, of course,

01:29I'm sure na gusto ka pang kilalanin ng ating mga viewers.

01:33I'm Abby Bassa and I'm from Kiss the Girl Events.

01:36I'm one of the managing partners of our team.

01:40We mostly handle social events but about 95% of these events are weddings.

01:46So, how long have you been in this industry?

01:50We've been doing this for almost 14 years.

01:54So, we started the team as, actually we just wanted to do something over the weekend.

02:01Oh wow, sana ganun din ako gumawa ng business.

02:07Let's go straight to the point of this episode.

02:11Of course, we want to learn how to have the wedding of our dreams.

02:16So, ano po yung mga unang steps in planning the wedding?

02:20First of all, you really need to have like a deep conversation with your partner.

02:26Because this is also a commitment.

02:29Because you're planning the beginning of your marriage.

02:33Una sa lahat, like what's our budget?

02:36So, ano ba yung kaya natin i-spend?

02:40Or hanggang saan ba yung gagastusin lang natin?

02:43And it's very important to be able to stick to your budget.

02:46Second is you have to identify sino ba yung gusto mong i-involve sa wedding nyo?

02:51Who would be your auntie Raj?

02:53Who will be your guests?

02:56So, dun na papasok like ilang guests ba yung i-invite natin?

03:00Next is you also need to consider what type of wedding do you want to have.

03:07Since us Filipinos, we're like majority of Filipinos are Catholics.

03:12So, will we have a Catholic wedding?

03:14So, pag Catholic wedding, automatic church wedding na siya.

03:18Are we having a civil wedding?

03:21Or a destination wedding?

03:24Or an intimate wedding?

03:26So, dun natin mas mafa-funnel kung anong type of wedding will we have.

03:34So, it's really important to discuss between the both of you kung ano yung gusto ninyo.

03:40Kayo po, Ms. Abby, para sa inyo, ano yung best venue?

03:44Is it the church or a destination wedding?

03:47And ano yung pros and cons ng mga ganitong venues?

03:50Sa venues kasi, this is really your preference.

03:53So, preference and then budget.

03:57So, some naman, let's say we have enough budget.

04:00We want to have a big wedding.

04:03Usually, ano yan?

04:05Church and then wedding reception.

04:08If gusto natin mag-destination wedding,

04:13we need to consider na yung guest list natin medyo lilit siya.

04:16Ngayon pa nga nga ako, hindi pa po ako engaged.

04:19Parang gusto ko nang ilista.

04:20Kaya, ano na kapag taga-provincia ka, kailangan buong ang kanye.

04:23It's marit.

04:27In terms of coordinators, ano naman pa yung ma-advise nyo?

04:32Advisable ba to get a full planner or on-the-day coordinator?

04:37Again, papasok pa rin yung budget natin.

04:39If we have enough budget to hire a full planner,

04:43which means si full planner will guide you from start.

04:47So, si full planner, she will advise, he or she will advise you kung ano bang mas suitable for you

04:53and kung ano yung papasok sa budget nyo.

04:55Big wedding, small wedding.

04:57Si full planner will navigate you through the entire wedding planning process.

05:03Hanggang sa matapos yung day itself, hanggang sa wrap-up.

05:08Kasama nyo si full planner.

05:09Now, there's also on-the-day coordinators, which we also do that.

05:15So, these are for the couples na are very hands-on.

05:18They want to do research.

05:20They want to meet all the suppliers before booking.

05:23So, si on-the-day coordinator will just ensure that the day itself will go smoothly as planned.

05:32So, kumbaga, you will hire someone.

05:35I-delegate mo na sa kanya yung task.

05:38Pero, ikaw yung nag-plan ng lahat.

05:41So, with planning, how long does it usually take para planuhin ang isang wedding?

05:47On an average, it's a year to six months na start from scratch.

05:54Bilang matagal na kayo sa industry, meron na rin kayo sinasuggest ng mga partners nyo

05:59para swak na yung mga dalawa nyo sa wedding, wala nang adjustments na mangyayari.

06:06Sinasuggest nyo na rin sa mga clients nyo.

06:09We don't really have like a partner or we don't have a tie-up.

06:13But, we do have vendors, certain vendors na we suggest to the couples if it's based on their preference.

06:25Like, let's say for photo and videos, iba-iba kasi yung style nila eh.

06:28So, I can't stick to one list if hindi to pasok sa gusto nila.

06:34So, same din sa budget kasi like, there's like super high-end photo and video teams

06:40and meron naman mga nagsastart pa lang na medyo mas mura and mas affordable yung mga rates nila.

06:47So, pwede pa rin naman kaming mag-suggest.

06:50So, papasok siya sa preference na talaga.

06:52Grabe! So, ganun po pala talaga kamitikuloso ang mag-plan ng wedding.

06:57Yes. So, sana marami din kayong natutunan kagaya ko.

07:01Ngayon pa lang po, Ms. Abby, tatanuyin ko na yung wedding ko.

07:04Kailangan talaga.
