00:22And as we saw in Jeddah, Latifi has hit the barriers.

00:27And this time it's spun him round and round and round.

00:32So Latifi's appeared from... he's been off the track, I think, at Turn 3.

00:37Well Lance Stroll overtakes him and then Latifi tries to get past again.

00:41Yeah, so I think Stroll is beginning to move right to let the Alpha through.

02:49Carlos Sainz has gone best overall in the middle sector as Gasly crosses the line.

02:54And Gasly will stay in the bottom five.

02:57Daniel Ricciardo currently on the cusp.

03:00Hamilton, the driver at risk.

03:01Yuki Tsunoda doing well enough to put some pressure on here as Ricciardo now crosses the line.

03:06He'd like to go a bit higher and does.

03:21Tsunoda doesn't make it through into Q3.

03:23Neither does Valtteri Bottas, whose long running streak comes to an end.

03:28Lewis Hamilton goes up into eighth place.

03:31Bottas, ever since his first race at Mercedes, has made it to Q3.

03:35Today, that run sadly comes to an end.

03:39We have lost from Q2 Pierre Gasly and Valtteri Bottas.

03:45Yuki Tsunoda and Joe Guanyu and Mick Schumacher as well.

03:50Fernando's really been hustling.

03:52The old Fernando we know so well.

03:54He seems really happy out there as the Ferrari.

03:58And that is, sadly, the Alpine of Fernando Alonso.

04:06And it has come to a sudden end against the wall.

04:12Yeah, so he's grabbed a little bit of grass on the way in.

04:16Gone in too deep on the brakes, had to steer into the slide.

04:21I lost the hydraulics and I could not change gear.

04:26That's why he got in deep into the corner then.

04:30He needs some exceptional corners at the end of this lap

04:33if he's going to put that red bull on the front row, let alone pole.

04:37Behind him on the road, Charles Leclerc is maybe stretching his advantage

04:41for Ferrari, blistering first sector for Leclerc.

04:44Verstappen's given it absolutely everything here.

04:48Down the straight he goes.

04:49And on to provisional pole for Max Verstappen.

04:53Only by eight one-hundredths of a second.

04:56But it's advantage Verstappen at the moment.

04:58And Sainz then starts his final effort as well.

05:01He gets over the line in time.

05:03And Leclerc though on another great lap as you say.

05:06Sainz had gone off the track at turn six.

05:08That's why he just backed out a little bit.

05:10But he got to the flag just in time to start one more flying lap.

05:14Meanwhile his teammate Charles Leclerc would like to go back to the top of the pile.

05:19Leclerc crosses the line now and goes on to pole.

05:24And he's stretched that advantage over Red Bull to nearly three-tenths of a second.

05:29Is this now then a second pole of the season for Charles Leclerc?

05:34He's back on top.

05:35And Sainz has had a poor first sector.

05:37He will only start ninth in the other Ferrari.

05:40So unlucky to lose that lap time with the red flags.

05:44But more action to come yet.

05:48Fourth fastest for McLaren.

05:50Daniel Ricciardo down in sixth fastest.

05:52But certainly a much better qualifying for him and his McLaren teammate.
