00:05They all go out to California to Oxnard to start their training camp.

00:09And they had them all on the dais yesterday.

00:11New coach Brian Schottenheimer, Jerry and Steven Jones,

00:15everybody ready for a new year of Cowboy football.

00:18So a lot of talk to Schottenheimer.

00:21He deserved a head coaching job.

00:24He says, of course I did. What are you, stupid?

00:26Number one, the support from both these guys has been amazing.

00:31We've had some incredible conversations going back through the interview process

00:34and then through free agency and the draft.

00:37And I will piggyback off what Jerry said.

00:39I mean, the give and take is outstanding.

00:42How does this player fit? What's the role?

00:45Those conversations happen 24-7, and that's been awesome.

00:50And just in terms of this opportunity, do I think I deserve it?

00:54Absolutely. Do I think I'm ready? There's no question.

00:58And it can't get here soon enough. I guess it's here.

01:02But to get in front of the players and get started a little bit later today

01:05is going to be great.

01:06Listen, it's a great gig if you can get it.

01:09You know, if you get to be the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys,

01:14you're going to sink or swim, success or failure,

01:17you're going to make a lot of money.

01:18And, you know, take a look at McCarthy.

01:22He made a boatload of money in Dallas, and he didn't even win.

01:26I mean, this guy's going to make a boatload of money even if he doesn't win.

01:29That's just all there is to it.

01:31They pay these guys a lot of money whether they win or not.

01:35It's a good job if you can get it.

01:36It's no different than Tibbs.

01:38Tibbs got $30 million to jump out a window.

01:43Golden parachute.

01:44$30 million to go away.

01:47Who in their right mind wouldn't sign up for that?

01:50You could be the worst coach in the world if they gave you $30 million

01:53when they whack you.

01:54Who's laughing now?

01:56I mean, that's the greatest gig you can get your hands on in life.

01:59Being the head coach of an NFL team, you're going to make millions

02:02whether you win or not.

02:05It's the greatest job in America.

02:09It's a great job if you can get it.

02:11It's unbelievable because there's money involved no matter how long

02:15you have the job for.

02:17No matter what.

02:18You're going to get paid one way or the other.
