00:00The boss of budget airline Ryanair, Michael O'Leary, has said it may increase workers' bonuses for pointing out passengers with oversized luggage.
00:09Ryanair already rewards its staff with €1.50 to intercept large bags on board, but now they're looking to increase this.
00:16Speaking earlier this morning, Michael O'Leary said that most passengers do abide by the current rules, but those who don't delay the boarding.
00:23Freddie, what do you make of this? Is it a big enough incentive?
00:26Currently, it's at €1.50 for pointing out an oversized baggage. No idea what the new figure is going to be, but will that be enough to make staff go, hold on a second, let's get this bag down and check the weight.
00:36It's sort of awful and brilliant at the same time, isn't it?
00:40Michael O'Leary, he's a sort of demon PR man who, through campaigning almost negatively, he manages to draw attention to his brand and his company.
00:49I mean, obviously, there's nothing more annoying than having your luggage taken away from you because it doesn't fit into some ridiculously small grid.
01:02And, you know, there's nothing more annoying than the idea of staff being incentivized, financially incentivized to catch you out.
01:10So it'll annoy a lot of people. But I think if you sign up to fly with Ryanair, you know what you're getting.
01:16And that's why it's so cheap.
