02:20kyle and al were living in manhattan and they had their first daughter and quickly learned that it

02:26takes a village with a baby what are we watching today an unexpected christmas i have an amazing

02:31relationship with my daughter page and my daughter-in-law al who's really just my daughter at

02:36this point we're really close and do a lot of things together can i just say i'm so excited to

02:44go on this cruise with you i'll cry cheers cheers we're so excited we love you i grew up in a really

02:52broken family and i was an only child which was isolating and i remember starting to watch hallmark

02:58movies in junior high what i love about hallmark is it's just cozy and encompasses everyone

03:06and everything which makes the hallmark community so special also thank you for having the house

03:11so beautifully done it looks amazing seriously this is some of your best work and then when i met the

03:16vermeer family they obviously loved hallmark too and it was just kind of a really cute marrying of like

03:20both of the things that we both loved what's new this year did you add anything that's christmas tree

03:26row okay i added some new trees my mom has spent her whole life doing things for other people she's

03:32always been the driver of this family literally the driver oh okay nice joke um thanks you guys and

03:40did you finish packing i'm bringing a lot i know i have to yeah i'm gonna go on yeah

03:44oh my god go look at the bow they did such a good job i want it in the back of my hair

04:36together i'm feeling a little claustrophobic my decorating suitcase is right here we get to

05:12that's that's amazing my name is donna and i am rob we have been together for nine years we met at the

05:19gym out of all the homework stars the hoodie looks forward to me but i actually like paul i can't

05:25wait to meet nikki nikki's one of our favorites she does a lot with paul all the time when we first

05:30met we had both gone through a divorce so we talked as we walked on the treadmill and that's how it all

05:35started well first you broke my ribs and i actually broke two of her ribs adjusting her back on a

05:42bench and popped it so i thought i would never see her again much less at the gym no i was still

05:48together nine years later not one kid has missed christmas eve ever and we're going to make sure

05:52that always happens between the two of us we have seven kids rob has two and i have five it's the best

05:57blended family there is wow it looks amazing all these magnets are the ones that i made that we're

06:03going to put on the door i can't believe you made one of every hallmark star i think we might be a

06:08little christmas crazy but there's nothing wrong with that never never too much christmas ever my mother

06:14was always into christmas growing up and hallmark brings my mother and i together they got me into

06:18it you know um they were watching it when i met them and i just got sucked in and i loved it because

06:24it takes you to a happy place it takes you out of the reality of life which is sometimes hard what are

06:31you going to watch when it's christmas and you're in this house you can't watch something with sad and

06:35you got something uplifting and sometimes i actually cry i don't want to he does cry i can't believe

06:40he's a man in that but he does he does a little yeah or something he does oh jonathan's right

06:48there we're meeting everyone i am a gay man over 40. you i'm gonna i'm gonna put the thing on an

06:54on an arm up in the sky so we have a good chin there boom ready one two three ah we did it

07:03i'm gonna have so much time we can't wait welcome aboard welcome aboard welcome aboard we thought

07:09maybe we'd maybe get one selfie and if we were lucky and we got one within five minutes of being

07:14on a ship look at that thank you thank you he's just amazing oh such a great smile and energy merry

07:33vacation of the whole entire world i know i know and everyone's been coming up saying you know uh

07:38happy birthday merry christmas they've seen us on the ship we have a cruise facebook page i put i'm

07:43going with my two grandmas they're my best friends they're best friends with each other this is my birthday

07:48present excuse me would you mind taking our picture me and my grandma thank you so much so i put that

07:53on facebook the other night and it got 115 comments merry christmas thank you guys thank you so much

08:05everyone's been coming up saying happy birthday nathan it's been the craziest thing yeah yeah

08:09my wife's two favorite things in the world cruising and christmas movies from hallmark there is no way

08:22that we were not going to be here

08:24my name is laura duncombe i'm going on this cruise with my very best friend in the whole world

08:40my little sister victoria happy christmas when i was a kid all that i wanted for christmas was a baby

08:48sister and once she was born my life was never the same i just want to tell everyone merry christmas

08:53now i'm gonna start decorating like right away oh my gosh you're so right let's go decorate the door

09:00home sweet home i can't remember the last time just the two of us went anywhere i don't think like

09:06ever yeah i live in tulsa oklahoma and my sister and best friend lives in new york which is very far

09:15away i just want to like stay in our room and just hug like for just like six to ten hours yeah

09:26i have 61 boxes of christmas decorations my sister's like that's kind of like you could probably pack my

09:32entire house in 61 boxes so it's a lot you may or may not have stood in my driveway this weekend like

09:39an evil genius and going christmas because it was it's it's everywhere and it feels so good

09:47we get to watch hallmark all the time all day i should probably be next to the blow dryer that's

09:53so right okay that could be your okay this will be mine good evening hallmark cruisers please join us

10:19obviously but it was the best one i've seen so far i don't think anyone's but like all i've been

10:23talking about for three well not three months like 12 months yeah is meeting wes brown and you meeting

10:30tyler i'm a huge tyler heinz fan and i have a bracelet ready to give to him i want to know what you think

10:37you're going to say when you meet him what do you think you and wes brown are going to talk about i'm

10:40going to give him a great big bear hug that's it wes this is an invitation to you um i know you're

10:45happily married with beautiful children as am i they're right here but we've all heard the famous

10:51term hall pass i have been given a hallmark pass for wes brown hallmark pass well let's go find him

11:12i'm gonna start laying out everything i want to do on the door well everybody calls me mrs christmas

11:16because of the house yeah i ooze christmas maybe that's why they call me it now ready let's see what

11:45wouldn't look in my shoes donna's this person that always amazes me she's been through a lot that's why

11:52i'm gonna propose to her and then i want to get married on the cruise ship i don't want to wait

11:57i know she's going to be shocked it's going to be a surprise to donna she has no idea this is the

12:03veil i don't know when i'm going to get down on one knee i just know i want the moment to be perfect

12:08and i hope it goes over well welcome aboard the hallmark channel we have 10 of the biggest hallmark

12:19channel stores on board oh my god look at the west brown is walking toward me it's my hallmark pass

12:36here we are well dressed getting ready to go see the christmas tree lighting on the hallmark christmas

12:47cruise i feel very happy for rob he always talked about wanting to see a tree lighting and i know

12:55it's something he's going to remember for the rest of his life

13:01celebration party is just so exciting to us it's like 3 000 souls just united in this common sense

13:08of wonder and it's just it's spectacular it's so magical oh my gosh look look all my christmas crew

13:17no could not imagine look at that this is so crazy wow this is crazy gail is my very very very

13:25dear friend we met in the 10th grade and we hit it off immediately joking around on the track team

13:31supposed to be practicing you really ran and i just was on the track team because of the uniforms actually

13:36she got kicked off the track team you think the kids are going to be super hungry because i made a lot

13:42of waffles looking great ladies y'all doing an awesome job why thank you so much you know we don't mind

13:50treating the sand sales yeah these are my buddies family is extremely important gill's husband and my

13:57husband the friends and so that made our relationship even greater

14:01our families are now connected i our grandchildren are now connected we are definitely more than just

14:13friends in fact sometimes we refer to each other as cis and what do you guys have planned all me and

14:17gail heard was hallmark that's all we heard and saw oh because you guys are like super fans yeah so

14:23we're like we didn't care what they were doing when i get out of church on sunday everyone knows not to

14:29bother me and i'm watching hallmark celebrities are going to be on there some of the actors from

14:33the actual movies are going to be on there like my tyler tyler hines will be there you know that hair

14:39is like the bomb his hair is always so perfect i like love and i like togetherness and just the

14:46simple things in life i think that's what really attracted me to hallmark when i started watching it

14:51years ago was like no matter how you were feeling you could turn on hallmark and you could always

14:56leave feeling like there's hope so that's ready who's ready who's ready who's ready for the day we

15:05are ecstatic about this cruise i'm busting at the seams y'all parasailing we're not doing that

15:12anything like that right alicia was always what i was not the the daredevil the take risks where

15:19i was the rule follower don't push the line take that leap of faith i don't know about faith

15:27okay just take the leap i'm just kind of a little anxious because i know alicia she is the adventurous

15:32one 46 years later here we are her still the risk taker me still the i want to color inside the lines

15:41many of the cruises that we've been on i've never seen the sell-off party with this many people never

15:47it is beyond the perfect kickoff for the hallmark cruise yes so many people i know that bothered

15:54you because you like to slide and dance and you could only shimmy you couldn't shimmy shimmy all right

17:40all the hallmark actors are close to us within 10 minutes of this i'm like this is gonna be an

19:01i think that i have a chance with tyler hines take it off take it off i sense that we have similar

19:12energies yeah i'm a very confident person so i'm just hoping that he likes my vibe if i get a chance

19:19to meet him i'm not blushing you are i don't think it's crazy at all i think it's time to light the

19:24christmas tree what do you think from the second we walked on the ship the christmas spirit has been

19:31palpable right it's all around you i saw a study actually that people who have all their decorations

19:37up by november 1st are actually happier are you ready to light the tree say yes from 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1

19:52this is the first time we're watching a christmas tree light together with a countdown and we've been

20:07together nine years takes my breath away that was insane i i don't even know i can't believe that

20:32we're here like together you're healthy right i mean like i'm healthy it's been a long year for you

20:40i've had two major surgeries so now i am cancer free to reconstruction later i have two half sisters

20:49they both tested positive for a gene called the atm gene mutation and they both battled cancer and have

20:56both since passed away from cancer i immediately went and got tested and it turns out i also had the

21:02gene and um probably the best thing for me to do would be to do this preventative double mastectomy

21:07and i'm back and i'm ready to have fun i'm just so excited to spend the next couple days with you

21:14guys you don't get to do this a lot in life and i'm so grateful like seriously thank you to you for

21:21making it happen thank you for you carving out the time to actually get here and be totally present

21:28i know that my mom values the family being in texas but on this cruise i need to build up the

21:33courage to deliver some news to her that might be a little upsetting and so i'm just nervous to cause

21:38any ripples or waves especially when we're having this wonderful time together it it means so much

21:43you just get to enjoy it vermeer girls take on hallmark christmas

21:56two champagnes please yes i think it'd be difficult to overstate how excited we are for this trip i mean

22:06i am a stay-at-home mom of three incredible children but i'm also a writer and victoria is a

22:16theatrical director and mother to my beautiful nephew robin so i thought this would be a perfect

22:23opportunity for us to get uninterrupted sister time and to to put ourselves first for a little while

22:30and you know to get to sleep just sleep really so before we get too much more into this i have a

22:37little special present for you okay you're gonna open it now but you can't use it until next christmas

22:44okay okay this is such a cute little box i love it it was in a hallmark movie so i had to get it

22:52i signed this up for a karaoke no gail needs to come out of her comfort zone

23:29morning sickness i've had i am sure it's gotta be a girl i'm so relieved that she finally knows it's

23:52being an auntie to victoria's little fella is one of my favorite things in the whole world and so

23:58to know that i will have double the auntie joy double the kids to shop for for christmas like i am just

24:45admired this is our first christmas tree lighting yes ever talking about how great and how wonderful

24:49everybody was and got you guys are like yes you're just so welcoming to everybody it's amazing it just

24:55shows how great you all are it really thank you for saying that well we couldn't be here without

25:00each one of you so thank you oh thank you can't believe i'm talking to erin kahil i'm here with a star

25:07that i love that i watch in all these movies and she's talking to me like she knows me for years

25:13asking about us all right thank you thank you very much i'm just so excited to finally be here

25:19and we've been through so much and it's been a long road for me and rob wow and there's mrs

25:25christmas you look amazing thank you so do you are you ready for this i'm ready let's get the party

25:30started so donna got diagnosed with chiari malformation it's a condition where part of the

25:35brain that controls your balance extends into your spinal canal she had to go through brain surgery

25:40it's not a cure it's not a cure but it it helped me and it was leaning on my brain stem and it could

25:47have been bad there she is

25:52surgeon had a spot in october she's nope not to left on my christmas party so she suffered

25:56with severe headaches for another two months new christmas season let's do it just so she could

26:01have her christmas party well because it's you she believes her christmas party i wanted to go out

26:06in bed you gotta have pretzels at every party it was a wonderful thing to do i got to be with all my

26:11friends and my family two days before my surgery it was the best decision i made i think it was really

26:16good i've had i've had headaches but i mean i'm feeling a lot better i feel good you're all here so

26:25positive about everything you have to be you have to be something like this really makes you realize that

26:31all that stuff that we get upset about we shouldn't you got to enjoy the happy moments you got to enjoy

26:36your children your family your friends your pets you just don't know what tomorrow brings and i'm

26:42going to enjoy this cruise it's a wish come true i'd like that tree in our front yard that's a little

26:48that's pushing it a little bit we have a lot of trees but not nothing like that so the healthcare

26:54donna went through it made me more committed than knowing i want to be with her and spend the rest of

26:59my life with her that's why i'm going to propose to her and hopefully we will get married on the

27:04last day of the cruise i just need to find the right moment i can't wait for day two mr mrs christmas

27:17so it's the merry exchange and it is a lovely time to share christmas spirit we all brought little

27:25things that we wanted to share with other people we bought candy can glow sticks and koozies

27:33all right tons of goodies there were lots of fun straws that were hit some jingle bell bracelets

27:38necklaces and a bunch of hallmark stickers this is the coolest thing we got it's a snow globe homemade

27:46snow globe merry christmas

27:58the night is still young hallmark cruisers so please join us for karaoke in the atrium trivia in the

28:04spinnaker lounge and boot shop with tyler hines in the great outdoors bar you got a blue shot right there

28:28we just love each other we love being here and it's a great time and holding them close singing

29:00needs to come out of her comfort zone she was a little more reserved and cautious and i said girl come

30:25it is difficult for me to move out of my comfort zone i don't know if i can pinpoint exactly where it

30:31came from but it is definitely something that i have noticed throughout my life maybe not wanting

30:37to make mistakes great job where it's like i don't want to let people down i don't want to let myself

30:43down i'm not sure exactly where it comes from next time before we get out the ship okay i'll think about

30:54i think about it i'm not sure so one of the things we talked about

30:58uh being friends this long right right is that we're going to kind of step out because we know

31:03we've been kind of reserved right so i think it's like a perfect opportunity it's just you and i

31:07nobody else is here i know all these people are here but i mean it's just you and i

34:03weird i thought we were going to be amazing at trivia and it turns out we are we are solidly mid

34:24on your pictures i was terribly lost boot shot is just full of energy during the pandemic tyler

34:36created this tradition of having a boot shot with friends and family as a way to stay connected

34:43everyone is just so happy to be there and has been clearly looking forward to this moment
