00:00Shohei Otani gets the start tonight at the Ravine for the Dodgers.
00:04They're a hefty favorite against the Minnesota Twins, minus 162.
00:08But LADRS swept this weekend by the Milwaukee Brewers, not playing great baseball.
00:13They have dropped 10 of 12 games.
00:16They still maintain a three-and-a-half game lead in the National League West
00:19in front of the San Diego Padres, but it hasn't been the best brand of baseball.
00:24Total tonight, eight-and-a-half.
00:25Might Shohei Otani go more than three innings tonight against the Twins?
00:30That's one of the main questions.
00:32Yeah, it's also the main question is who's coming in behind him.
00:34I think it's going to be, I'm listed as May.
00:36I want to say Dustin May, who has a 4.81 XFIP over the past 60 days
00:40through 49 and two-thirds innings pitch here.
00:42That's not very good.
00:44So, yes, Otani can hold you down for three innings,
00:46but after that, it's going to be up to May to do the same thing.
00:48Now, I don't like David Festa as a pitcher, quite frankly, either.
00:51You take a look at some of his statistics over the past 60 days, not all that great.
00:55But also, are we getting the best out of the lineup right now for the Dodgers?
00:59Because if I look and say, well, Mookie Betts is really struggling.
01:03That doesn't help.
01:04Otani's phenomenal.
01:05He's going to be pitching, and maybe that takes away from his first couple of at-bats
01:08while he focuses on pitching.
01:09Let's just remove that.
01:11But Freddie Freeman got plunked with a pitch yesterday.
01:12He's probably not going to be in the lineup again today.
01:14So, we look at a minus 190 price.
01:16If this was an Otani start, meaning one through five innings,
01:19I'd say, okay, you could deal with it.
01:20Everybody's going to bet the Dodgers are the home eventually to turn that around.
01:23But Festa's not going through a murderer's row lineup right now.
01:26Like, Pahez is struggling.
01:27Kim's struggling.
01:28Edmund's struggling.
01:29There's a lot of struggling Dodgers here to still be placed at a minus 190.
01:33But most people will see Shohei Otani and say, I'll take that risk.
01:35But again, three innings out of Otani tonight is probably the expectation,
01:39which means there's going to be six innings left.
01:41I'll take the plus 160 price point.
01:43First five innings again, Dodgers, maybe so.
01:45But Festa might be able to dance between those raindrops, as we like to say,
01:48because that's not a great lineup right now for the Dodgers.
