00:00A disturbing video of uniformed workers burying dead dogs at a pound in Lahat Perak has sparked
00:08concern among animal welfare groups.
00:11President of the Ipo branch of Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Ricky
00:16Sung, said a man dropped off a pen drive containing the footage at his office on Monday evening.
00:22He said the footage showed in separate scenes, workers dumping what appeared to be dog carcasses
00:27into mass graves.
00:29He claimed that when NGOs inquired about the fate of stray dogs, they were told that the
00:34animals had been left at the Papan landfill.
00:37He said attempts by several NGOs and volunteers to rescue the dogs were unsuccessful.
00:43Efforts are being made to obtain comments from the Ipo City Council and the State Executive
00:48Councilor in charge of such issues.
