00:00What does he want?
00:02Do you hear that?
00:04What the f*** was that?
00:06Oh!
00:14In this uniquely unsettling encounter,
00:17the YouTube travel duo from Adventure Out There,
00:20Emily, Brian, and their adventure dog Wes,
00:24embarked on a three-day van life road trip across British Columbia, Canada,
00:28with a twist.
00:30Every stop, route, and activity was planned entirely by ChadGPT.
00:35What started as a fun experiment in AI-assisted travel quickly grew tense and unpredictable.
00:40The couple, experienced van lifers since 2024, entrusted their itinerary to the AI,
00:45requesting scenic drives, free campsites, pet-friendly hikes,
00:49and, naturally, a spot to sample Canada's best poutine.
00:54Hey everyone!
00:55We've been in Canada exploring beautiful British Columbia now for a couple of days
00:59on our way up to the Stuart Cassiar Highway to start our journey up to Alaska.
01:04Between where we are right now and the start of the Cassiar,
01:07we have several hundred miles and we really don't know much about the area.
01:11It's so big and so vast and there's just a ton of different options.
01:15So we decided it might be fun to ask AI or ChadGPT where to go.
01:20What could go wrong?
01:21What could possibly go wrong?
01:23So, we're going to give it a prompt and we're going to tell it that we've got,
01:27you know, a couple of days and we want some free camping along the way.
01:31We want dog-friendly hikes and maybe also some poutine.
01:37Yeah, maybe the best poutine in the area.
01:39And let's see where it takes us.
01:41We might not follow it to a tee, but let's see what happens.
01:45So, first night it's telling us to head to Bowrim Lake Provincial Park,
01:50which is about two hours from here.
01:52Looks like a pretty area.
01:53You want to check it out?
01:54Let's do it.
01:55Alright, let's go.
01:56Their first recommended stop was Barron Lake Provincial Park,
01:58but things quickly went off course.
02:00When they arrived, the park was clearly closed,
02:03with signs indicating it was out of season and undergoing road maintenance.
02:07The area was completely deserted.
02:09No rangers, no other campers.
02:11While the scenery was beautiful,
02:13the emptiness made the site feel more abandoned than peaceful.
02:16This marked the first major red flag in their AI-guided trip.
02:19The campground wasn't free as requested,
02:22and wasn't even open for the season.
02:24A significant oversight.
02:25Undeterred, they turned to a trusted camping app, Campendium,
02:29and discovered a secluded recreation site by a creek in British Columbia.
02:33The spot was tranquil, scenic, and quiet.
02:37They even noticed fresh beaver activity nearby, with markings on the trees.
02:42Hoping to catch some footage of the beavers,
02:44they set up a trail cam and prepared for a night of cooking and relaxation.
02:49We found home for the night ChatGPT did not.
03:00This is pretty awesome.
03:0310 out of 10.
03:08Unfortunately, that other site didn't pan out that ChatGPT recommended.
03:26Not only was it not free, it was 18 Canadian dollars per night.
03:31It was also not open yet for the season.
03:34And it was over an hour out of the way.
03:37So definitely not along the route.
03:39So when that didn't pan out,
03:41I did some research on one of my favorite apps to use for finding free campsites in Canada.
03:46That is Campendium and came across this recreation site, which is amazing.
03:51We're excited to stay here for the evening.
03:54You may be wondering why we didn't do this research ourselves to begin with,
03:58but it's kind of just like an experiment to see where ChatGPT is going to lead us.
04:05And I think that's half of the fun.
04:08Hopefully tomorrow we have a little bit better luck.
04:11What truly made the trip both memorable and unsettling happened the next morning around 5am.
04:17Someone knocked on their van door.
04:19It wasn't a ranger or another camper, but a disoriented man without a phone.
04:24Asking for the time.
04:26They hadn't noticed his tent the night before.
04:28Yet now it was suddenly set up nearby, raising serious concerns.
04:32While Brian tried to stay calm, convincing himself the man might have been dropped off after a long night.
04:37Emily was visibly shaken.
04:39They chose not to engage beyond this brief encounter.
04:42Locking themselves inside the van and staying alert until they decided it was safest to leave.
04:47We got our first knock.
04:59First knock.
05:00Five o'clock.
05:02Why did he want?
05:05He wanted to know what time it was.
05:07Why?
05:08I don't know if that's really what he wanted, but that's all he was going to get.
05:16What does he want?
05:23It's only 5.30 in the morning.
05:26I don't think he really knows what's going on.
05:30Looks a little lost.
05:33There's a tent over here now that wasn't here when we went to bed.
05:37He just looks really confused.
05:39The trail cam did capture the man stepping out of his tent and approaching their van.
05:44Seemingly confirming that he was simply confused and lost.
05:47Yet, the fear and unease remained.
05:50This wasn't the kind of encounter the couple had imagined when they entrusted their itinerary to an AI.
05:55Despite the tension, they pressed onto the next AI-recommended destination, Burns Lake, only to find themselves once again depending on human judgment and real-time research to locate a suitable campsite.
06:08While ChatGPT provided general guidance, it lacked the nuance, local knowledge, and up-to-date information they needed.
06:15One poutine spot, it suggested, turned out to be long closed, existing only in outdated Yellow Pages listings.
06:22In the end, they found better options through their own efforts.
06:26Alright, well...
06:27Everything worked out.
06:29Let's try and find this restaurant that has been recommended by ChatGPT on our little ChatGPT field trip that we're on.
06:39I tried to look it up.
06:42It's called Majestic Restaurant LTD here in Houston on Highway 16.
06:47And I couldn't find anything about it except for a very old Yellow Page listing.
06:54So...
06:55I'm skeptical that this restaurant is still...
06:58Uh...
06:59A restaurant.
07:00A restaurant.
07:01A restaurant.
07:02But let's go find out.
07:03Alright.
07:04Let's see.
07:09So...
07:10If there was a Majestic Restaurant, there is a hotel over here.
07:18Maybe it was part of that hotel at one point.
07:21It looks very, uh, unused.
07:24And I don't think that is gonna be the best poutine on our route by any means.
07:29Even if it was there.
07:30It's in a hotel.
07:32Agreed.
07:33So I think we need to do ourselves a favor and manually type in to Google.
07:42Ultimately, the AI-powered travel experiment proved less of a breakthrough and more of
07:49a cautionary story.
07:50Sure, it guided them to some beautiful spots and surprising wildlife encounters.
07:55Six moose and a black bear.
07:57It also revealed the technology's significant shortcomings in terms of safety, accuracy,
08:02and the subtlety of human intuition.
08:05What are your thoughts on this experience?
08:07Share them with me.
08:08Meet Chris.
08:09A YouTuber you might know from his channel, Omega.
08:13For over ten years, Chris has drawn viewers in with exciting videos, starting with lighthearted
08:18content before plunging into the eerie realm of haunted and abandoned places.
08:23In this video, we rewind five years to May 7th, 2019, a seemingly calm day when Chris embarked
08:30on one of his most chilling adventures yet.
08:32An overnight journey to the longest abandoned Nazi train tunnel.
08:36Nestled deep within Poland's old mountains, this massive tunnel system was built during
08:41World War II, reportedly as a top-secret military base.
08:44His true purpose remains a mystery, as construction was never finished, and few records survive, carved
08:50out over miles underground by forced labor.
08:53The tunnels claimed the lives of thousands of prisoners.
08:56Today, only darkness and unanswered questions remain.
08:59Man, it seemed like forever since I've done one of these.
09:03According to the GPS, we're coming very close to Spooner's Tunnel now.
09:10I think it's just down at the bottom of this hill here.
09:14I'm actually quite anxious about doing this overnight challenge.
09:19You know, it's a dark, creepy, really long tunnel, and, you know, I don't know what kind of people
09:26are going to be up here.
09:27So, yeah, the nerves are just starting to kick in now.
09:30Especially being alone.
09:32Okay, here we are here.
09:35The only person I have with me is Max.
09:38You know, man's best friend and everything.
09:40Oh man, look at that.
09:42There's a vehicle over there that's burnt out too.
09:45Oh man, look at it.
09:46I hope it's not a popular spot for people to...
09:50Chris reached the trailhead nestled in the dense forest, with his faithful dog, Max, at his side.
09:55Together, they started the trek toward the tunnel's entrance.
09:58As they drew closer, an unsettling feeling crept over Chris.
10:02A cold shiver running down his spine.
10:04This was no place to be after dark, especially alone.
10:08Yet, that was precisely as planned.
10:10I think the thing that I'm mostly worried about is people coming up here.
10:17I mean, you don't know what kind of people come up here.
10:21I don't see any visible signs of, like, tagging or anything on the outside piece of the tunnel.
10:27But, um, you just don't know.
10:28You don't know what kind of people are gonna come up and hang out in this tunnel, you know, in the night.
10:34And it is a Friday night here.
10:36So, uh, yeah, there could be anyone coming up here.
10:39Inside the tunnel, the air feels thick and heavy.
10:42Chris sets up camp just within the entrance, prepares a modest meal, and starts to explore the dark maze before him.
10:48As night descends, the silence turns overwhelming.
10:51Uh, we get into the stage where, uh, I'm getting extremely tired.
10:54But, uh, we're gonna keep pushing, and, uh, we'll do a walk through the tunnel soon.
10:59It's like, the airy silence is just getting to me at this point.
11:02And, uh, I'm hearing things left, right and center, trust me.
11:05Maybe we can wander down a bit of the way to see what we may find.
11:09Who knows?
11:10To show viewers just how complete the darkness is, he turns off his flashlight.
11:14Uh, I'm gonna wander down this way.
11:16And you guys can see how far we go.
11:19Oh man, honestly.
11:22Max, stay with us.
11:25I have a backup camera.
11:27If I really need to, um, take more shots of this tunnel.
11:31But, uh, hopefully this one will last.
11:34Man, look at this, eh.
11:37Man alive.
11:38There's another manhole there, see?
11:40I'm staying in one of these manholes, as you can, as you know.
11:43It's alright, Max.
11:44I mean, I don't know what else to show you guys.
11:46I don't know if anything's gonna happen.
11:48Um, I don't know if there's been any workers that have actually died in this tunnel or anything like that.
11:54So, don't count on anything.
11:57I mean, it's literally two in the morning.
12:00So, this is like, the time that something's gonna happen.
12:03If something's gonna happen, I'll turn my light off.
12:05Like, right here, I'll turn my light off.
12:07Ready?
12:08Three.
12:09Two.
12:10Three.
12:11Two.
12:12One.
12:13Max.
12:14Sorry, I gotta turn the light back on.
12:17There he is.
12:18I'll say, it's really strange without the lights on.
12:20It's weird, man.
12:21Like, you're underground in the middle of nowhere.
12:25It's strange.
12:26You just, you don't know what you're gonna find down here.
12:28I think that's the biggest thing.
12:30I mean, if you look down there.
12:33Like, that's how far we are away from the entrance that we came in.
12:38Like, it's pretty far.
12:40Chris stands motionless in total blackness, engulfed by the void.
12:44The haunting silence, interrupted only by faint echoes, begins to feel overwhelming.
12:49But what follows will make this moment seem mild.
12:52Later that night, with his camera battery dead, Chris returns to his campsite and lies down, attempting to rest.
12:58Okay, so my main camera has died.
13:01The battery's absolutely shot.
13:03And I've also managed to bust the microphone on my main camera too.
13:08Which I'm using on this camera.
13:10But it's completely busted.
13:11So I don't know how the sound's gonna go from here.
13:13I seriously, at this point, have been micro-sleeping the whole time.
13:17Ugh.
13:18It must be about 3-4 in the morning.
13:20Ugh.
13:22I feel extremely tired.
13:24And, um, I don't feel like I'm on this planet right now.
13:27I honestly keep hearing things.
13:29It's ridiculous.
13:30I don't know.
13:31The hollow tunnel creaks and groans around him.
13:34Suddenly, an unusual beeping sound cuts through the silence, coming from deep within the tunnel.
13:40Oh, jeepers.
13:46My gosh damn tripod.
13:48I hear some sort of chewing on it.
13:51Max.
13:52Come here.
13:53Come here.
13:54Oh, shit.
13:58Oh, shit.
14:02Max.
14:06Who's that?
14:07Who's that, Max?
14:09What, the actual?
14:11Can you guys, can you guys hear that?
14:13Max.
14:18Chris takes his flashlight and cautiously moves toward the sound, searching for its origin.
14:22That's when he spots it.
14:23I don't know if you guys can hear this on the camera, but there's something...
14:27What is that?
14:35What the...
14:43What is that?
14:44Max?
14:45What is that?
14:46Hello?
14:47What is that?
14:48Max?
14:49What is that?
14:50Hello?
14:51Is there somebody here?
14:52That's just creepy as...
14:53What the hell?
14:54Is anyone here?
14:55What is that?
14:56Oh!
14:57Max!
14:58Hurry up!
14:59Max!
15:00A man stood motionless on the edge of the tunnel wall, watching Chris.
15:17Frozen, Chris called out.
15:19Hello?
15:20Is someone there?
15:21There was no reply.
15:22No movement.
15:23Just the unsettling presence of a figure that didn't belong.
15:27The man made no attempt to explain or approach.
15:30It felt as if he was waiting.
15:31Waiting for Chris to come closer, or worse.
15:34For the perfect moment to strike.
15:36Panic surged through Chris.
15:38He grabbed Max and bolted, sprinting out of the tunnel and into the forest.
15:42He didn't stop running until the cold night air filled his lungs and the tunnel entrance
15:46was far behind them.
15:47And I don't have any intention of going back in there.
15:50That was just strange beyond belief.
15:52I just really want to do a quick time check while I'm out here.
15:56Thanks guys for tuning in to this overnight challenge.
15:59I will do one last vlog in the morning like I always do.
16:02And I will show you guys the time.
16:04But at this point, I'm not going back in that tunnel.
16:07I'm chill.
16:08I got the chill personality.
16:09Usually not a whole lot affects me.
16:12But that was just getting a little bit too much.
16:15Honestly.
16:16Finally, he reaches his car.
16:18Shaken.
16:19And breathless.
16:20And drives away.
16:21Without once looking back.
16:23Both Chris and Max escaped unharmed, but the questions linger.
16:27Who was that man?
16:28Had he been watching them the entire time?
16:30And what was the eerie version of happy birthday echoing through the darkness?
16:35Was it a trap?
16:36A warning?
16:37Or something far more sinister?
16:39Fortunately, we'll never know.
16:41Chris later confessed he has no plans to ever return.
16:43And after hearing this story, can you really blame him?
16:46On April 11th, 2023, Natasha, the host of the Quest Out West YouTube channel, shared a
16:53deeply personal and anxiety-filled journey into the wilderness of British Columbia.
16:58What started with hopeful ambition ended in fear, isolation, and a humbling reassessment
17:04of solo van life.
17:06Living full-time in a Dodge Grand Caravan with her three cats, Natasha set out in search
17:11of a free camping spot near Squamish, taking advantage of finally warm weather.
17:16After gathering supplies, she followed a GPS route to a spot she discovered on the app
17:21Saat I, Overlander.
17:23However, what began as a routine drive soon took a much more unsettling turn.
17:28Now that the weather is finally warm enough to do this, and I'm in Squamish, I'm gonna
17:35go look for a spot where we can camp tonight.
17:40But first we get supplies!
17:41As she ventured further from the main road, Natasha's unease steadily grew.
17:53The terrain became rougher, the path narrower, and the surroundings increasingly isolated.
17:59A steep cliffside trail with no room to turn around sparked a full-blown panic.
18:03Her van, poorly suited for the rugged conditions, started sliding backward on the slope.
18:09Frightened, she abandoned the attempt and chose to head back to Cat Lake, a spot she knew
18:13better and found more accessible.
18:15Even after parking near a fork in the road that seemed safe, her anxiety lingered.
18:20The eerie landscape, scattered abandoned vehicles, including what might have been a crashed RV,
18:25and the uncertainty about whether camping there was even allowed, kept her on edge.
18:30I'm starting to get a little nervous because we seem to be driving out a lot further than I anticipated.
18:40I'm following my GPS that's guiding me to a place that I saw on iOverlander.
18:51Feels like we're just driving forever into the abyss.
18:54And, yep, I'm a little nervous.
18:59We had just turned off the highway.
19:01This is where we are, and there are people here, so I know that I won't die.
19:05That's good.
19:08Her fears were far from unfounded.
19:10She wondered if the vehicle she'd seen earlier had actually gone off the edge.
19:14As she tried to make the best of the situation, setting up her camp stove atop her cat carriers,
19:19a new wave of unease settled over her.
19:21Strange, almost-human sounds echoed from the forest, high-pitched and unnatural,
19:26like something out of the Predator movie.
19:28Natasha froze in place, feeling anything but safe.
19:31Then she heard footsteps approaching.
19:33Her fight-or-flight instincts surged.
19:36Luckily, the people passed by without incident,
19:38heading up the decommissioned road she had been too scared to take earlier.
19:42But their presence only deepened her sense of unease.
19:45I'm stunned and stressed out at the same time.
19:51Check this out.
19:53That is stunning.
19:55But at the same time,
19:58I'm concerned that in the middle of the night that we're going to accidentally roll down the hill or something.
20:04Or maybe even just get hit by somebody else coming down this road.
20:08And I'm scared to go further in because I don't know if this car can handle these roads.
20:16So, this is where we are.
20:20We're going to stay here and have dinner and then figure out the next step.
20:26I'm a little close to the road.
20:29But I was also afraid while I was parking that I was going to like either drive off the cliff
20:35or get stuck in a pothole or something.
20:38All of these things would not be good.
20:42Is that a crashed plane?
20:45I don't think it's a plane, but it might be a crashed RV.
20:51Somebody that actually did go off this edge.
20:55So, it's an authentic fear.
21:01Do you hear that?
21:11Do you hear that?
21:16Is that supposed to be a bird?
21:19Because it sounds like the predator.
21:22I...
21:24I truly don't feel safe here.
21:27I'm slowly taking things out of the van because I'm trying to find something to prop up the campsite with.
21:34Because this is going to hang off the side if I put them here.
21:38And as I'm doing this, I realize how I'm becoming increasingly more vulnerable as I take stuff out of the van.
21:44It's not like I could just slam the door shut and take off.
21:47Because I've got to put all this stuff back in the van.
21:49And then I'm hearing this weird-ass sound from the woods.
21:54Okay, there are people coming.
21:55Either they're coming to keep me company or kill me.
22:00We're gonna find out.
22:02Stay tuned.
22:03So they didn't kill me, but they didn't stay.
22:06They all went up that road that I was afraid to go up.
22:09Good news is, I think I figured out the camp stove thing.
22:13I think we're gonna do this.
22:14I think this works.
22:15It's obviously very low to the ground.
22:17I'm going to probably sit on my toolbox.
22:20Alone and growing increasingly vulnerable, Natasha prepared a simple dinner while fighting the overwhelming urge to pack up and run.
22:29Her thoughts spiraled into worst-case scenarios.
22:32Falling off a cliff.
22:33Getting stuck in the mud.
22:35Encountering wild animals.
22:36Or facing a mechanical breakdown in an area with spotty cell service and help far away.
22:42She even began to question the allure of wild camping.
22:45What at once seemed like a dream of reconnecting with nature had instead become a night consumed by fear.
22:52As darkness deepened, Natasha abandoned her plan to sleep in the remote spot.
22:57Every rustle in the woods felt like a looming threat.
23:00She hurried to pack everything back into the van, her movements frantic.
23:05The final drive through the night was just as terrifying.
23:08Her vision impaired, with a truck tailgating aggressively behind her.
23:12Making her fear she might be forced off the road.
23:15I started driving.
23:18The sign in front of me told me that I can't turn left.
23:22So I turned right.
23:23And it's pitch black.
23:25No lights on the side of the road.
23:28I have trouble staying at night.
23:30I really don't like driving at night.
23:32And then I start realizing there's nowhere to pull off.
23:36And nowhere to turn around for like forever.
23:38And I'm possibly going to end up in Whistler.
23:41Then on top of it, a truck starts driving behind me.
23:45Really right up on my butt, like tailgating me.
23:48And with his high beams on or whatever.
23:51And he's doing it on purpose.
23:53And I'm going like 85 in a 90.
23:57It's not like I'm going too slow.
23:59I'm just going too slow for him.
24:01And, um, and I finally, I saw a turn off for a lookout, but he was right on my a**.
24:07I couldn't even, I couldn't even slow down.
24:10So he almost ran me off the road.
24:12And I, there was nothing else I could do.
24:18At last, she arrived at a familiar Walmart parking lot, her refuge for the night.
24:23While she didn't share exactly what she did upon arrival, the message was unmistakable.
24:28Safety had replaced any sense of adventure.
24:31Physically exhausted and emotionally spent, Natasha ended the day uncertain whether she
24:36brave another solo camping trip in the wilderness anytime soon.
24:39The road had brought her no solace.
24:41Only stark reminders of the dangers that come with choosing instinct over structure and isolation
24:46over connection.
24:47This eerie encounter was documented by Franco, a well-known YouTuber from his channel, Franco TV.
24:53Renowned for his fearless solo explorations of some of America's most haunted locations,
24:59Franco often ventures where few dare to go.
25:01But this time, his journey took him far from home into an experience even he wasn't ready for.
25:07On the warm summer night of July 13, 2024, in Chile, Franco set out to do the unthinkable.
25:15Camp overnight in a notoriously haunted cemetery.
25:18This was no ordinary graveyard.
25:20Local legends spoke of strange apparitions, paranormal murmurs, and something far darker
25:25stirring after midnight.
25:27Adding to the fear, the cemetery was frequently targeted by thieves who broke in to steal from
25:31the dead.
25:32While most would avoid this place after dark, Franco was determined to face it head on.
25:37Luckily enough, I got to know somebody who knew somebody who was eventually able to give
25:43me access to getting to this location.
25:45I am in a huge graveyard behind me.
25:48This is nothing.
25:49It goes on forever.
25:51However, it is extremely dangerous being towards the back because people come through
25:56here all the time robbing and stealing and stuff.
25:58And the problem with this location is that the law doesn't protect me here.
26:04So it's hard to defend myself when if I do defend myself, I go to jail, directly to jail.
26:11So hopefully nothing bad happens.
26:13I'm not sure what the universe has for me in store for this location.
26:17But that being said, let's get into the video.
26:20Franco had secured legal permission to enter the graveyard, which is normally locked at night
26:25to prevent vandalism.
26:26Right from the beginning, he acknowledged that this was far from a safe place.
26:30Yet he continued onward, determined to capture any paranormal activity lingering among the tombstones.
26:36However, it wasn't just spirits that awaited him.
26:39And shadows, pretty much shadow people.
26:42Everything that you would see in a graveyard at night technically happens here.
26:50Look at that.
26:51I don't even know what the hell that is, but that scared the hell out of me.
26:56Apparently these are built all through the graveyard as well.
27:00And I feel like it's just built just to scare the hell out of you.
27:08That...
27:09I think that's a statue.
27:14Jesus Christ, that is horrifying.
27:19Yeah, that's a statue.
27:22Look at this.
27:23Is that creepy or what?
27:34Only minutes into his exploration, Franco came across a life-sized statue standing eerily beside a grave.
27:41For a brief moment, he mistook it for a real person watching him, causing his heart to race.
27:45These statues were placed to deter grave robbers.
27:48But in the darkness, it was impossible to tell whether it was a genuine threat or just a cruel illusion cast by the night.
27:57As he moved further into the cemetery, the sense of unease grew stronger.
28:01Franco knew he had to keep calm to prevent fear from taking control.
28:05Yet, something still felt deeply wrong.
28:08Before long.
28:11Alright, I gotta stay focused because very easily my own mind will confuse me.
28:17And uh...
28:19Yeah, my own mind will confuse me and then I end up looking around the whole time and it might be nothing.
28:25That's all part of doing this alone because you freak yourself out half the time.
28:29It's all in your head.
28:31Sometimes.
28:33Being able to distinguish the difference is a challenge.
28:36Before long, the first genuinely unusual occurrence took place.
28:41He switched on his ghost hunting gear and started posing questions into the emptiness.
28:51It is so dark here.
28:53There's no moonlight so I don't really have any chance of seeing anything unless I have an IR light.
28:57I don't know if you guys can hear that but I'm hearing some random stuff.
29:14Almost right away, the equipment detected odd noises.
29:19Children's laughter and faint voices that hadn't been present moments before.
29:23The air, which had been eerily quiet, suddenly filled with sound.
29:28The laughter intensified, becoming unsettlingly loud before abruptly cutting out into complete silence.
29:34Complete silence.
29:35Trying to see if there's anything significant about being in this room.
29:39Why they would run in here.
29:44No, I won't.
29:46I don't know if you guys just heard that but I just heard a giggle.
29:49That sounded like a laughing.
29:53Oh, that was creepy. I just literally heard a laughing.
30:08Why they would run in here.
30:12No, I won't.
30:14Why they would run in here.
30:15Fell, as if whatever had been trying to communicate suddenly retreated.
30:19After a tense 10 minutes, Franco packed up his gear, uncertain about what he had just encountered.
30:29But the night was far from over.
30:31As he ventured deeper into the cemetery, he spotted something unusual.
30:35There's so many noises everywhere.
30:36It's hard to tell.
30:37Like anyone could just walk up on me right now.
30:40And I would think it's just part of the surrounding sound so I don't know.
30:43Oh my god, my imagination's going wild right now.
30:52The hell was that?
30:56Hear that?
30:57This sounds like something moving for sure.
31:12Literally in front of me.
31:15A birthday balloon gently swayed in the faint breeze,
31:26his presence unsettling and out of place.
31:28Then, something occurred that rattled him to his very core.
31:32Happy birthday to you.
31:37Happy birthday, dear.
31:40Holy f***.
31:43Something just hit the balloon.
31:45The balloon just moved, kind of chaotically right now.
31:52The balloon shifted, not stirred by the breeze,
31:55but as if an unseen force had brushed against it.
31:59Franco swept the area with his flashlight.
32:01No gusts, no people, no movement.
32:04Yet the feeling of being watched was undeniable.
32:08On high alert, he switched his camera to night vision
32:10and quietly settled among the graves,
32:12aiming to establish more contact
32:14while keeping himself concealed from any potential trespassers.
32:18That's when his camera captured something genuinely horrifying.
32:21Is there anybody standing next to me?
32:25Over here is that creepy statue.
32:29Let's see if I can find it right there.
32:31Oh my god, that is horrifying.
32:36I just noticed that she's got a Catholic necklace.
32:39It's just creepy on thermal.
32:40Everything on thermal is creepy.
32:41Is there anybody that would like to communicate with me tonight?
32:51Now's the time to talk.
32:53What the f*** was that?
33:01I just picked something up on thermal.
33:02Man, I don't even know what the hell it was.
33:09A shadowy figure slipped silently among the headstones,
33:12then disappeared without a trace.
33:14Franco stood motionless, stunned.
33:16Rewinding the footage confirmed its presence.
33:19Switching to thermal imaging, he searched for a heat signature,
33:22hoping to identify it as a person, but found nothing.
33:25No warmth.
33:26No sign of a living being.
33:28Was it a hidden intruder?
33:29Or something beyond human?
33:30I'm now on a different spectrum.
33:32I want to see if it gives off any thermal heat.
33:38I'm not seeing anything.
33:41What the hell was that?
33:47Whatever it is just stopped right over there,
33:49and it's kind of hiding.
33:50I just switched back,
33:52and what is creepy
33:53is that
33:56whatever the hell I've just seen,
34:00I want to see if I can see it again.
34:06Stopped right over here.
34:07Driven by determination,
34:08Franco carefully made his way to the grave
34:10where the figure had appeared.
34:12But upon arrival, there was nothing.
34:14No person.
34:15No footprints.
34:16Just an unsettling silence.
34:18A wave of dread washed over him,
34:20prompting him to leave that area
34:21and move toward the far end of the cemetery.
34:24This part felt different.
34:25Still eerie and adorned,
34:27yet somehow more tranquil.
34:28With flashlight in hand,
34:30he continued forward,
34:32and then he spotted something
34:33that would stay with him forever.
34:35This whole place is decorated
34:39to the teeth.
34:41To the teeth.
34:45Hola.
34:46Oh, fuck.
34:58Holy shit.
35:03Well, that's what's making that noise.
35:06Why would you do that?
35:07They put a picture
35:10and it looks like somebody
35:11was just hiding right there.
35:12I still thought it was a person.
35:20Jesus Christ.
35:21That is so messed up.
35:39They put a life-size picture of this kid
35:41and that scared the hell out of me.
35:43I thought somebody was just hiding right behind me.
35:46That literally got me
35:47to my core right there.
35:48The thing is that even though I saw it
35:50and it scared me,
35:52I was expecting for me
35:53to just fight it for some reason.
35:54It was just a piece of cardboard.
35:56Oh, fuck.
36:01And that's the mausoleum.
36:04What the fuck is that?
36:18The specifics of what he witnessed
36:43remain unclear,
36:44but whatever it was,
36:45it frightened him enough to pull back.
36:47Franco struggled to steady his nerves,
36:50reminding himself of his commitment
36:51to stay through the night.
36:55So this looks like discarded
36:57gravel tombs
36:59that they put in the back.
37:04Oh, I think these are caskets.
37:09They're definitely a casket.
37:13A huge ditch.
37:14Oh, my God.
37:20I think there are human remains in here.
37:24Pure discretion is advised.
37:28Franco made up his mind.
37:30He wasn't about to stick around
37:31and find out what it wanted.
37:33Prioritizing his safety over curiosity,
37:36he slowly backed away
37:37without turning his back,
37:39then hurriedly and quietly
37:40left the graveyard.
37:42Once he reached his car,
37:44shaken and unable to sleep,
37:46he drove straight to the nearest hotel.
37:48A few days later,
37:49Franco shared the footage on YouTube,
37:51leaving viewers shocked.
37:52Some dismissed it as a hoax,
37:54while others believed
37:55he had encountered something
37:56truly supernatural.
37:58Franco himself admitted
37:59that the experience still haunts him.
38:01Was it a spirit?
38:02A trickster hiding in the shadows?
38:04Or something far more sinister and demonic?
38:07We may never know.
38:08But one thing is clear.
38:09Franco has never gone back to that cemetery.
38:12And he never will.
38:13In a video posted by It's Bates,
38:15the YouTuber captures a late-night outing
38:17with his friend Martin
38:18as they revisit a location
38:20they hadn't explored in quite some time.
38:22Filmed in early September,
38:24what starts as a casual vlog
38:26quickly spirals into something
38:27far more unsettling and unexplained.
38:29The video opens with the two friends
38:31chatting off camera,
38:33sharing laughs,
38:34and reflecting on a previous visit,
38:36home to one of their earlier
38:37so-called cursed videos.
38:40Despite the sweltering mid-July heat,
38:43the area feels just as eerie
38:44as they remembered.
38:45And almost right away,
38:47strange things begin to unfold.
38:49All right, bro,
38:50what are we doing today?
38:51Bro, what's up, guys?
38:52Right now, me and Mertin, of course,
38:53posted up behind the cameras.
38:54You know, we just get a vlog
38:55and, like, see what happens.
38:57It's super creepy.
38:58We haven't been here in a long, long time, though.
39:00No, I haven't been behind the camera
39:01for, like, so long, guys.
39:02Same, bro.
39:03Dude, this place is, like,
39:04as creepy as I remember it being.
39:07Yeah.
39:07Yeah, we're just gonna walk right now,
39:09you know, see where the trail leads us.
39:13Dude, your camera's, like,
39:14flashing red.
39:15You should not charge it.
39:16All right, it's meteorite, bro.
39:17It's hot as hell out right now.
39:19While walking along the trail,
39:21the camera briefly captures something
39:23that flickers into view
39:24and vanishes within seconds.
39:26It wasn't noticed in the moment,
39:28but during editing,
39:29Bates spots the anomaly
39:30and highlights it,
39:32replaying the clip at full volume
39:34and urging viewers to listen carefully.
39:36Just after a faint rustle in the grass,
39:38a strange, distorted sound,
39:40part electronic, part whispered,
39:42can be heard.
39:43The fact that they didn't catch it
39:44in real time
39:45only adds a chilling layer
39:46to the footage.
39:47As the night wears on,
39:49the atmosphere shifts.
39:51Well past midnight,
39:52now traveling by bike,
39:54the pair begin to hear unsettling,
39:56inhuman noises
39:57echoing through the darkness.
39:59What is this?
40:02What the f***?
40:05Do you guys hear that?
40:10What?
40:11That was the noise I heard
40:13from like way back there.
40:14Wait, let's go close.
40:15Do you know I hear that?
40:17That was like something,
40:17like, you know,
40:18rustling in the freaking grass.
40:19Wait, where?
40:20Right here.
40:21But it literally could be the deer,
40:23but like, you know,
40:24it's still creepy.
40:25Yeah, I don't know.
40:26Deer's like...
40:27At first,
40:28the sound resembles a cat's cry,
40:30but it quickly morphs
40:31into something louder,
40:32more distorted,
40:33and distinctly unnatural.
40:35It seems to come from the tree line,
40:37yet shifts location,
40:38drawing them in deeper.
40:39There's real fear in their voices,
40:41and Bates even remarks
40:42that it feels like something
40:43is deliberately trying to lure them.
40:45The tension rises sharply
40:46when they come across
40:47what appears to be blood on the ground,
40:49heightening the sense of danger.
40:51Suddenly,
40:51a piercing scream
40:53slices through the silence,
40:55echoing across the area.
40:56The sound moves,
40:58growing louder and closer,
40:59then fading again.
41:01The two visibly lose their composure
41:02as they continue to follow the noise.
41:05They note how it's almost guiding them,
41:07the sound becoming oddly directional,
41:09like something,
41:10or someone,
41:11is intentionally steering their path.
41:15It's like past midnight right now.
41:17You know,
41:17we're just here with the bikes.
41:20It's a bike.
41:21Let's put it here.
41:24We have been hearing this, like,
41:27weird-ass noise.
41:28We just came from Sam's place.
41:30Yeah, down there.
41:31And now,
41:33as we were going home,
41:34listen, listen, guys.
41:38What is that?
41:39What do you think is that?
41:40I'm like a...
41:40I thought there was a cat at first, though.
41:42Yeah.
41:43I'm like actually weirded out right now.
41:46Yeah.
41:50You're that guys, right?
41:51There's someone there.
41:54It's like luring us.
41:55Let's go a little bit further.
41:57I swear, there's like people here.
41:58Hey, come out!
41:59What's an animal, bro?
42:00One animal is making that noise right now.
42:02Bro!
42:03Dude,
42:04don't tell me that's blood.
42:06Oh, wait.
42:08It's red.
42:09What the...
42:09Oh!
42:10This one also.
42:11Hello?
42:13Wait, that's coming from, like, up there.
42:14Maybe we're all reacting.
42:15I still hear people, you know?
42:18I feel like fish roars right now.
42:20I don't know.
42:21Don't you hear that?
42:24That's like someone actually screaming.
42:26Where is it?
42:29Just now, it was coming from there.
42:30It was...
42:31We were like,
42:31come here,
42:32get this guy.
42:32We were like,
42:33way back, like...
42:33One of the most intense moments unfolds when they notice a flashing triangle of light on
42:38the ground, steadily drifting away, as if luring them toward it.
42:43But then, instinct takes over.
42:45Panic sets in, and they bolt, flooded with adrenaline, fear, and confusion.
42:51The following day, Bates returns to the site with Martin to investigate, in the safety of
42:56daylight.
42:57Under the sun, the area feels less menacing.
43:00They come across scattered clothing and shoes near the treeline.
43:03Possibly dumped, but arranged in a way that's too unsettling to dismiss.
43:07They also spot the same strange structure or object from the night before.
43:11An unreachable shape hidden deep in the undergrowth, surrounded by towering, eight-foot
43:16plants.
43:17Then suddenly, the eerie sound from the previous night cuts through the air once more.
43:22This time, in broad daylight.
43:24Hi, bro.
43:24What's good, guys?
43:25We were here yesterday.
43:26Did you hear that?
43:281 a.m., something like that?
43:29Yeah.
43:29But guys, uh, yeah, we're back here.
43:31As you can see, this place goes on for, like, very long.
43:35There are, like, houses back there.
43:36Look what Martin spotted earlier, guys.
43:38What the heck is that?
43:39Like, all sorts of, like, clothes.
43:41And look, there's, like, shoes here, clothes.
43:43It could be just, like, someone dropping off, you know, old clothes.
43:46And guys, look, this is the, like, thing we saw earlier, yesterday.
43:50Yeah, I don't know what the thing is.
43:51Well, you can't even get close to it.
43:53Look.
43:54There's no path.
43:54Literally.
43:55Literally.
43:56I don't know.
43:57What is that?
43:58Well, maybe, like...
43:59It could be whatever, though.
44:00And it...
44:00Oh!
44:02Boy, that's the same noise.
44:03That's the same sound.
44:04Yesterday, we heard it, like...
44:05Guys, look.
44:06That's, like, three meters tall.
44:07That's, like, eight feet tall or something.
44:13Supernatural or not, is the mix of environmental tension and uncertainty that stays with you.
44:19The unsettling feeling that something out there was watching, maybe even waiting.
44:24As always, I'll leave it to you to decide what really happened in this encounter.
44:28There.
44:28I'll be here.
44:29I'll be here.
44:45I'll be here.
