00:00Gosh.
00:02Oh, shh.
00:04The camper van is fully ablaze behind me there.
00:07This is no joke.
00:13Julian, Sven, and their beloved dog Felix
00:16have spent years living on the road,
00:19exploring over 60 countries through hitchhiking,
00:22couch surfing, and now van life in their vintage vehicle, Daisy.
00:26They've grown used to the unpredictability
00:28that comes with a nomadic lifestyle,
00:31but nothing could have prepared them
00:32for what happened along Italy's Mediterranean coast.
00:35The video opens with the couple
00:37rushing back to their van in a panic,
00:39triggered by a security system alert
00:40just minutes after they had left Daisy unattended.
00:44Okay, so the door was closed.
00:48It was like that.
00:49There was a cover.
00:50And, yeah, there was a cover,
00:52and I saw immediately the stand-up pedal was lying down there.
00:55So we didn't do that, and we left the cover there.
00:58And then I saw, look at the locks.
01:01The sliding door can't be opened anymore.
01:04It's blocked.
01:05I don't know.
01:06This one, I locked it before, and it's open.
01:10They just went in here.
01:12F***.
01:13F***.
01:14We left the chaos like this, kind of,
01:16but not exactly like this.
01:19So they threw this thing over there,
01:22and they took out the stand-up pedal,
01:24and then they grabbed everything they could.
01:27Everything they could.
01:28So, um, my handbag was down here.
01:34Luckily, there's nothing important, basically, in my handbag.
01:37My handbag is a trash bag.
01:40Except our passports.
01:41There were all passports, and Felix, um, vaccination,
01:44and travel, pet, pet passport inside.
01:46So this is gone, but this is just paper.
01:49We are in Europe.
01:50It doesn't really matter.
01:51We can cross the borders with our ID cards,
01:54and for Felix, he, um, he will be fine.
01:58No one will check it.
01:59It's okay.
02:00Not even my wallet was in there.
02:03A few days ago, I put it somewhere else,
02:05and I forgot about it.
02:07Oh, luckily, because otherwise the cards would be gone.
02:10Your ID.
02:11My ID, yeah.
02:12This is what I need to travel in Europe.
02:14Yeah, so from here, only my handbag is missing.
02:17So it's not broken.
02:18They just, like, climbed inside the car from the other side
02:22and grabbed everything they could,
02:23and unfortunately, I already saw it,
02:26our camera is gone, and, um, oh, my God.
02:31Oh, a full camera bag.
02:33My full backpack with all the camera stuff inside is gone.
02:36The drone is gone.
02:37The camera.
02:38Yeah, the camera, the lenses.
02:40And, uh, like, uh, like, memory cards.
02:43What was meant to be a peaceful lunch
02:45quickly spiraled into chaos.
02:47When Sven hurried back to the van,
02:48he found the sliding door jammed and the locks broken.
02:51As the camera rolls,
02:53viewers are given a firsthand look at the aftermath.
02:56A forced entry,
02:57belongings scattered,
02:58and several valuable items missing.
03:01Despite the shock,
03:02Julian and Sven immediately began assessing the damage.
03:06Julian's handbag was gone.
03:07Though not particularly valuable,
03:09it contained important items like Felix's pet passport
03:12and a few minor documents.
03:14But the most devastating loss was their entire camera setup.
03:18Their main camera, drone, memory cards,
03:21and essential accessories had all been taken.
03:23These weren't just expensive tools.
03:25They were the heart of how the couple documented
03:27and shared their adventures.
03:29The total value of the stolen gear
03:31was estimated at around $6,000.
03:34And to make matters worse,
03:36they didn't have insurance to cover any of it.
03:39Still, there were small strokes of luck.
03:42In the chaos,
03:43the thieves had missed Julian's laptop,
03:45arguably their most vital piece of equipment,
03:48packed with personal files, documents,
03:50and project work.
03:51They also overlooked an iPad,
03:53a backup camera,
03:54and a critical bag filled with SD cards and data.
03:57All hidden under the everyday clutter of van life.
04:01Ironically,
04:03the security system they had often complained about
04:05ended up proving its worth.
04:07It sent an instant alert that likely interrupted the break-in,
04:10possibly scaring off the perpetrators.
04:12It's believed the thieves fled the scene,
04:15spooked by the alarm and
04:16the arrival of another family nearby
04:18before they could search the van more thoroughly.
04:22With the help of bystanders,
04:23Julian and Sven contacted the local police.
04:25The officers were kind and took their statements
04:28at a nearby station,
04:29but it quickly became clear that little could be done.
04:32The culprits were likely locals,
04:34experienced,
04:35and already long gone.
04:36As the hours passed,
04:37the grim reality set in.
04:40Justice was unlikely.
04:42What made the experience even more unsettling
04:44was the growing suspicion that they had been watched.
04:48Okay, so let's just start from the beginning.
04:50This is very, very bad.
04:52We wanted to go to the restaurant and...
04:55Just five minutes from here.
04:56Exactly.
04:57And then we saw when we left,
04:59there was a car standing on the street
05:01and it was just like standing
05:03right at the point where Daisy is
05:05and they were just standing there
05:06and looking at the car, I guess.
05:09It was a young couple we saw.
05:11Yes, it was a young couple.
05:11Later on we saw it was a young couple,
05:13but because it was standing there,
05:15I turned on the security system.
05:17So I turned it on
05:20and like one minute after it says it's turned on,
05:23I got a notification on my watch
05:25that it detected like someone breaking into the car.
05:31And it never did that before,
05:32so we knew it's serious.
05:34So I immediately ran back to Daisy.
05:37At first I saw like everything looked good,
05:40all the windows are still there,
05:41not broken into,
05:42and I saw something under the bus
05:43and it was the stand-up pedal
05:44and I immediately thought,
05:46okay, that wasn't us,
05:46someone was inside the bus.
05:50Luckily, there was a couple standing next to our car
05:54which just was getting ready to go to the beach
05:57and they were Italians
05:58and I asked them if they saw anything.
06:01They said no,
06:02there was just a family leaving the place.
06:04I also saw it like a family with two children
06:07calmly driving off,
06:10but I guess they didn't do anything.
06:12Probably the thieves or the thief
06:15probably left because the family came
06:17or like the other cars came.
06:19And our alarm...
06:20And our security system was ringing all the time.
06:23Weeew, weeew, weeew.
06:24Yes.
06:24And I asked them if they could help us
06:27like calling the police.
06:29I called the police
06:30and luckily they talked to them
06:31and explained what happened in Italian.
06:34Earlier, the couple had noticed a car idling nearby,
06:38occupied by a young pair
06:39who may have been acting as lookouts.
06:41The timing felt too precise to be a coincidence.
06:44Just minutes after they left Daisy, their security system was triggered.
06:48Whoever was behind the break-in had clearly been watching,
06:51waited for the perfect moment, acted swiftly, and vanished just as fast.
06:55More than the loss of equipment, it was the invasion of their personal space that shook them.
07:00Daisy isn't just a van, it's their home.
07:02The thought of strangers rummaging through their belongings,
07:06walking through the place they sleep,
07:07and handling their private possessions left them feeling exposed and violated.
07:13This wasn't just theft, it was an intrusion into their sanctuary.
07:17Despite the emotional blow, Julian and Sven stayed grounded.
07:21They knew it could have been worse and were grateful it wasn't.
07:24Still, the experience served as a stark reminder of how quickly peace in paradise
07:29can turn into something far more unsettling.
07:32Even in the face of this violation, the couple reaffirmed their love for Italy.
07:37They made it clear that one bad encounter wouldn't define their view of the country or its people.
07:43There are bad actors everywhere, but they don't erase the beauty, kindness, and adventure
07:47the road continues to offer.
07:50This difficult chapter, while sobering, also highlighted the resilience, openness, and authenticity
07:55that make the travel teller's journey so captivating.
07:59On June 23rd, 2025, ADZ Venture's latest video marked a dramatic shift from his usual upbeat travel vlogs,
08:08diving into a far more disturbing experience.
08:11What started as a simple trip to the coastal town of Rye to find a birthday present for his mother
08:15soon descended into chaos, culminating in a fire, emergency services being called,
08:22and a frantic search for safety late at night.
08:24Earlier that day, the YouTuber had set out on what was meant to be
08:28a relaxing antique hunting excursion in southern England.
08:31It's an extremely important mission like no other.
08:36Unless, of course, somebody's done a mission that's similar before, then it's a mission like another.
08:42But anyway, we're on a mission.
08:45We've got to get down to the Kent coast.
08:47In fact, I might be lying about that.
08:49I think it might be East Sussex.
08:52Either way, we're going down to Rye.
08:54I've put the location into the sat-nav, so without further ado, let's let this mission commence.
09:01Albeit extremely slowly.
09:03I haven't come as far as Rye because I looked on the map and parking there seemed like a bit of a nightmare.
09:09There's height barriers on all the car parks.
09:11So we're in a place now called Winchelsea, or we're near Winchelsea anyway.
09:16I think we're on the way there.
09:17We should be there in one minute.
09:19And because the antique shop is going to be shut today already,
09:22I'm thinking we're just going to rock up here, have some dinner,
09:25which is something I've never had before, by the way.
09:27And then from there, we can go on to this shop in the morning.
09:31I found this one here.
09:32I don't know if I trust it.
09:33Is it wide enough?
09:35Far enough from the danger of the road?
09:38I reckon it probably is, right?
09:40I think, actually, I might spin around and go a little bit further back up the road
09:44because the ones up there...
09:46Whoa! I'm stacking it.
09:47The ones up there are more like spaces just for one vehicle, and I'd rather that.
09:51Just in case we get loads of visitors caught.
09:53It's a bit windy out here.
09:55But I thought I'd show you the sheep and the view before we head back.
09:59Look at that.
10:00But yeah, also, this one here is on a little bit of a wonk.
10:03So, let's get back in the van, spin it around,
10:06and I'll go to one of the spots that I saw further up there.
10:08All right, this one here seems better and a little safer.
10:11Plus, we do also have some sheep over this side as well.
10:15So, let's drop the anchors and prepare to live.
10:20He settled in for the night at a quiet pull-off near Winchelsea Beach,
10:24surrounded by peaceful sheep-dotted fields,
10:27with a sea on one side and a small lake on the other.
10:30It was an idyllic, serene spot,
10:33the kind of place vanlifers dream of.
10:35But as evening fell, the atmosphere shifted.
10:37While finishing his second toasty off-camera,
10:40he noticed another van pulling in unusually close,
10:43despite the rest of the area being empty.
10:45At first, he didn't think much of it,
10:47until a breathless man suddenly sprinted past his vehicle.
10:51Just minutes later, smoke and flames appeared in the distance.
10:54I'm so confused about what's going on outside, right?
10:57Look at this.
10:59What is that? It looks like smoke coming out.
11:02Right, hold on a second. This is bad.
11:04Right, some lorry was just outside mine.
11:07Or just out the front.
11:09I swear that's a fire. That is not clouds.
11:11What is happening?
11:17It is.
11:19What is happening?
11:20What is happening?
11:27Right, so I'm trying to film me at the same time as filming the fire up there.
11:33Something bad's happened, obviously.
11:37I know who it was, because there was someone on my CCTV.
11:41It was all a bit weird.
11:43I'll tell you about it in a minute.
11:44I'm going to go speak to this bus driver.
11:46I'm just going to go spin my van around in case someone comes back and does that to my van,
11:53because it was, someone's done that.
11:55It has looked like it has been done.
11:57Well, it has been done, because the geezer just ran past me,
12:00jumped in his motor and sped off that way.
12:02It could be, it could be awesome then.
12:03Right, someone's set fire to the van that's just down the road behind me.
12:08And, er, it was the person who was parked in front of me.
12:13I'll explain more in a minute.
12:15But I need to move my van in case they're going to do it to mine as well.
12:21Obviously, I'm no longer going to be staying here,
12:24but the old Bill, they're going to want to talk to me about this.
12:30I can see a flashing light up near it,
12:32so that's obviously some sort of traffic control coming along.
12:38A caravan, most likely the one that had recently pulled in nearby,
12:45had erupted in flames.
12:46He quickly began filming and relocated his van,
12:49wary that whoever was behind the incident might come back.
12:52The fire escalated quickly.
12:54Traffic came to a standstill,
12:56and a fire engine rushed to the scene
12:58as the blaze engulfed the entire vehicle.
13:00While there didn't seem to be anyone inside,
13:03the circumstances were undeniably suspicious.
13:06He spoke with a bus driver and a few nearby locals.
13:08All of whom were just as stunned
13:10by the intensity and speed of the fire.
13:12The camper van is fully ablaze behind me there.
13:15This is no joke.
13:16We've got a massive tail of traffic all down here.
13:18I can hear the fire engine in the background
13:20making its way up.
13:23This is not good.
13:24What's this geezer trying to get through for?
13:26Can't he see that?
13:27We're like in need of space.
13:31See, I'll let this top mine right out of the way.
13:35There you go.
13:36Apologies, I know you have a bit to see much on me camera right now,
13:55but I'm walking up the little ramp
13:56up onto the wall of the beach
13:59and I can't see anything.
14:02Where's my torch?
14:04I'm just going to walk along the top.
14:05I'm just going to see if I can see it a bit better from up here.
14:08It looks like they've already put it out, to be honest.
14:12I've just been chatting to those guys.
14:14It's probably been about 10 minutes now
14:15since that fire engine turned up.
14:18There's no old bill, which is surprising.
14:22I'm just walking a bit closer to it now.
14:25You can see the fire engine's just down there.
14:28The camper van is now in ashes on the floor.
14:33It's been completely burnt out.
14:35You can see the guys just down there
14:36spraying the last bits to make sure it's fully out.
14:41But that is the end of one vehicle.
14:44I guess I've got to wait for the police to turn up
14:46because if I leave the scene,
14:48they're going to think it's suspicious.
14:51But other than that, I don't know what to do.
14:52Obviously, I'm not going to sleep here for the night now.
14:55It sounds like it might have been targeted
14:57on that particular van
14:58because it's been sat there for ages, apparently.
15:01But you never know, it could have been
15:03just a random camper van burn.
15:06And the thing is, if he decides to do it again,
15:08if he's some nutter and he comes back,
15:10I don't particularly fancy going up in flames tonight
15:13when I'm asleep.
15:14Emergency services arrived
15:16and were eventually able to put out the fire.
15:18But he remained on scene to wait for the police,
15:21knowing his dash cam had probably recorded important footage.
15:24That night, getting any sleep proved difficult.
15:27Height restrictions, tight roads,
15:29and an overwhelming sense of vulnerability
15:31made finding a safe place to park a challenge.
15:34He eventually returned to the same area,
15:36but parked much farther down the road,
15:37well away from where the fire had occurred.
15:40The next morning, he reviewed his dash cam footage.
15:43Innes strongly suggested that the fire had been deliberately set.
15:46So, let's just talk you through this
15:48on the actual timeline of exactly how things happen
15:51from my point of view.
15:52So, first of all, obviously, as you saw,
15:54I made the world's most glorious toasty.
15:57And then after that, I actually made a second one off camera
16:00because I just wanted to enjoy the pure goodness to myself.
16:03And whilst I was eating that,
16:05I heard an out-of-breath man running past my van.
16:10It sounded like he was in a rush, right?
16:13In fact, no, let's back up a bit before that.
16:15When I was eating my second toasty,
16:17I looked up on the CCTV,
16:19and I saw a van just parked up in front of me.
16:22Now, bear in mind that I'd chosen to park
16:25in this particular lay-by because it's a small one.
16:27Now, some of these lay-bys up here are absolutely massive.
16:30There's other small ones as well,
16:31but there's plenty of them, right?
16:32So, I thought if I parked there where that car was,
16:35that's where we were,
16:36no one's going to come into this spot
16:38because there's just no need for it.
16:39And whilst I was eating,
16:40I looked up on my CCTV, like I said,
16:42and I saw a van was parked there.
16:44Now, I was going to get out of the van
16:45and make a joke about it.
16:46I was going to say,
16:47how dare they park in my driveway and all this,
16:49just for a laugh.
16:50But before I had a chance to do that,
16:52I was finishing my food,
16:53and like I said,
16:54this geezer ran past the van that way and up here.
16:57Now, as soon as I heard his footsteps
16:59running and panting past my van,
17:02I looked up on the CCTV.
17:03I was like, what's all that about?
17:04Why is someone out for a run at this time of night?
17:06But I saw that he jumped straight into his van
17:08and sped off,
17:09which I thought was a bit weird,
17:10and I was wondering why.
17:11In my head,
17:12I'd just come to the conclusion
17:13that maybe he'd been caught short.
17:14He needed the toilet,
17:16and he'd run up onto the beach,
17:17done his business,
17:18and then he jumped back in the van
17:19and just carried on his journey.
17:20So, I looked back on the camera,
17:22and I saw a light on the front camera
17:24and a light on the rear camera.
17:25Now, that's not out of the blue.
17:26I thought it was just headlights coming down the road.
17:28One of them was.
17:29It was a bus that was coming down this road here.
17:31That's the bus that you saw last night.
17:33And the other light was up there,
17:34which turned out to be the fire,
17:35but at the time,
17:36I thought it was another headlight coming down.
17:38The man who had sprinted past his van earlier
17:40had first been seen near the beach stairs,
17:43carrying what appeared to be a bag.
17:45He crouched down,
17:46seemingly preparing something,
17:48then made his way toward the caravan.
17:50Shortly afterward,
17:51the fire ignited.
17:52The same man later re-emerged from the beach,
17:55observed the flames from a distance,
17:57then ran past the van once more
17:59and drove off.
18:00Although the footage didn't capture
18:01any identifying features,
18:03no clear view of his face or license plate.
18:06The implication was unmistakable.
18:08This was no accident.
18:11The act appeared calculated and intentional.
18:13Whether it was a targeted attack
18:14or a random act of arson remains unclear.
18:17But the randomness of it,
18:18the thought that his own van
18:20could have just as easily been the target,
18:22was deeply unsettling.
18:24It's fair to say he was fortunate
18:25to walk away unharmed.
18:27Determined to carry on with his original plan,
18:29the YouTuber headed back to Rye.
18:32There, a kind parking attendant
18:34allowed him to stay for free
18:35while he quickly visited the antique shop.
18:37The unique item his mother had wanted,
18:39a teapot-like relic,
18:41was still available.
18:42He purchased it,
18:43and with a sense of relief,
18:45wrapped up the video.
18:46What do you think really happened that night?
18:49Let me know in the comments.
18:50In this 30-second clip,
18:52recorded by Nathan Arnold,
18:54what starts as a peaceful woodland walk
18:55with his young son
18:56swiftly turns into a moment of intense fear.
19:00The footage,
19:01dated February 29th, 2012,
19:04captures the duo exploring a quiet forested area
19:06when they suddenly freeze,
19:08alarmed by something strange just ahead.
19:12You don't see that?
19:13I don't see anything.
19:17What is that?
19:18You see it?
19:29Yeah.
19:30What is that?
19:35Gosh.
19:36Let's get out of here.
19:37Yeah.
19:39The camera catches a dark figure in the distance,
19:42tall,
19:42and draped in what appears to be
19:44a flowing black robe.
19:45Though the low video quality
19:47makes it hard to see details clearly,
19:49the figure's size and stance
19:50are enough to unsettle viewers
19:52and clearly frighten Nathan and his son.
19:55Nathan whispers,
19:56his voice tense,
19:57and his son confirms he sees it too,
20:00leading them to quickly decide to back away.
20:02The footage grows shaky as they retreat,
20:05their fear intensifying with every step.
20:07Despite the clip's short length and blurry visuals,
20:10the emotional impact is undeniable.
20:12Some online speculate the figure might be Bigfoot,
20:15while others think it could be a person
20:17wearing a robe or costume.
20:19What's difficult to dismiss, though,
20:21is the genuine nature of Nathan and his son's reaction.
20:25Their panic feels instinctive and real,
20:27not staged.
20:28Whether it's a hoax,
20:29a case of mistaken identity,
20:31or something truly mysterious,
20:33this brief video taps into a deep primal fear,
20:37the unsettling feeling of facing the unknown
20:39in a remote place where help is nowhere near.
20:43After watching this,
20:44would you feel comfortable camping alone in the woods?
20:46In a candid and highly relatable video
20:48posted on June 25th, 2025,
20:52YouTuber Thomas Lockack shares his first ever
20:54truly solo wild camping experience in the woods.
20:57What begins as a hopeful adventure
20:59ultimately ends with him deciding to retreat.
21:02Curious why?
21:03Well, you'll have to watch to find out.
21:05Thomas frames this outing as a special episode.
21:08Not only is it his first solo woodland wild camp,
21:11but it's also taking place on private land
21:13with full permission,
21:15which he hopes will provide a feeling of security and peace.
21:18Now, I appreciate this isn't like wild camping.
21:22I imagine a lot of people are thinking,
21:24oh, well,
21:25this is just car camping.
21:28At a certain point,
21:29all you're doing is car camping.
21:30And that's true.
21:33But,
21:34what I need to do,
21:36and I've said this a few times recently,
21:37is build up this, like,
21:39tolerance to camping.
21:41Where I know that I'm going to get a good night of sleep.
21:43I know I'm not going to get freaked out
21:45by the sounds in the night.
21:48This is a perfect spot, by the way.
21:50This is literally a perfect spot.
21:51Car's just there.
21:53Bit lame, but
21:54this is a good spot.
21:57Yeah, I've got a bit of that tolerance.
21:59I've got to get used to the sounds of the woodland of the night.
22:01And knowing
22:02that I'm in a safe place,
22:04that I have permission to be in,
22:06is going to help with that.
22:08For sure.
22:13Because, you see,
22:13what happened with the, um,
22:16what happened with the whole gravel wood thing
22:17is I got to this point
22:18and I felt like I was being watched.
22:22And I felt like I wasn't welcome.
22:23Or as I know,
22:26I could be being watched.
22:29I haven't got to worry about anything like that.
22:40Everything seems set
22:42for a calm night.
22:44Thomas pitches his camp near his car,
22:45which technically makes this more car camping
22:48than intense wilderness survival.
22:50But for him,
22:51the goal isn't to test extremes.
22:53It's about gradually building comfort
22:54with sleeping alone outdoors
22:56and learning to quiet the nervousness
22:58that often arises in the wild.
23:00He starts setting up his Fox 2 tent
23:01and the evening unfolds in a relaxed,
23:04almost familiar way.
23:06As darkness falls,
23:07Thomas grows more at ease,
23:08acknowledging his initial nerves,
23:10but feeling proud for pushing through them.
23:12Then, things start to change.
23:14Righto, that's the live stream done.
23:16Not bad at all.
23:17Shout out to Ian for the super chat.
23:19Five pounds, what a legend.
23:20And, um,
23:21that'll be available to watch as well
23:23if you want to catch up with all that.
23:25It was a lot of nonsense.
23:28Had some absolute freaks in my chat tonight.
23:32It's starting to get dark.
23:35So, I think...
23:37I mean, it's not...
23:38Like, it's still bright out.
23:39Like, you can see the sky's still bright.
23:41I think I'm going to head into bed.
23:46The darker it gets,
23:47the more panicky I'm going to be.
23:48But there's no reason to be.
23:50Some guys in the chat were like,
23:51we see you, we're going to jump out and get you.
23:52I'm like,
23:53go on then.
23:57There's been a couple of years as well.
24:02Yep, let's move.
24:11I won't lie.
24:18I'm not feeling it.
24:27Fuck me.
24:31Oh, God.
24:32I just saw a tree.
24:34And for a second there,
24:35I thought,
24:36oh, God.
24:37It looked like a creature, man.
24:38My brain recognised it as that.
24:42And then I turned away,
24:43and then I looked back,
24:44and then it probably processed it.
24:57Yeah, I'm not feeling it, boys.
25:08Before I get into my tent
25:09and just chill out
25:10and calm my nerves down,
25:11I'll be fine.
25:13I literally came off the live stream,
25:15looked around.
25:21As the night grows darker,
25:22Thomas' nerves intensify.
25:24He ends the live stream
25:25he started around 9.40 p.m.,
25:27openly acknowledging
25:28the subtle but growing sense
25:30of vulnerability
25:31that comes with being
25:32completely alone in the forest.
25:33He laughs off
25:34some unsettling comments
25:36from viewers joking
25:37that they were nearby watching him,
25:39but the remarks
25:39clearly linger in his mind.
25:41What truly unsettles Thomas,
25:43however,
25:44is the sound.
25:45At first,
25:45it's the silence,
25:47the absence of civilization.
25:48Then comes the eerie moment
25:50when he mistakes a tree
25:51in the darkness
25:52for a creature.
25:53Finally,
25:54something happens
25:55that shatters
25:56his composure entirely.
25:57I'm going to chill out
26:08for a little bit.
26:10See how I feel.
26:18I need to get over it, man.
26:19I need to get over it.
26:21It's as simple as that.
26:23Persevere.
26:27It's just what I wanted.
26:35Monk Jack going crazy.
26:42I'm chilling out, though.
26:49I'm glad that I caught
26:50that sort of
26:50moment of, like,
26:53doubt on camera.
26:55It's very hot.
26:57I'm going to stick it out.
27:08That would be
27:08a terribly freaky noise
27:09if I didn't know
27:10what it was.
27:15Look at me.
27:19Ah!
27:27A sudden, piercing sound
27:49shattered the night.
27:50Later in the video,
27:52Thomas explains
27:52what actually happened
27:53as he was drifting off
27:55to sleep,
27:55caught in that hazy space
27:57between waking and dreaming.
27:58He heard what sounded
27:59like a woman screaming
28:00just outside his tent.
28:02Instantly jolted
28:03to full awareness.
28:04Adrenaline surged
28:05through his body
28:06as he scrambled
28:07to make sense
28:07of the noise.
28:08He wanted to convince himself
28:09it was a Munchak deer,
28:11a small species
28:12known for its eerie,
28:13almost human-like call.
28:15Still,
28:16the impact was lasting.
28:17Once startled,
28:18Thomas' heart rate
28:19wouldn't calm down.
28:20The deer kept calling
28:21for about 20 minutes.
28:22Even after he identified
28:24the source,
28:25the unease lingered.
28:26The peaceful magic
28:27of the evening
28:27had turned into
28:28a tense,
28:29static feeling.
28:30He no longer felt safe.
28:32Though he tried
28:33to tough it out,
28:33he ultimately decided
28:34to call it quits.
28:36According to Thomas,
28:37it wasn't fear
28:38that drove him to leave,
28:39but exhaustion.
28:40He didn't want to spend
28:41the night on high alert,
28:42unable to sleep,
28:43stressed by every
28:44twig snap or animal cry.
28:46Packing up in the dark,
28:48he moved quickly,
28:49describing that strange
28:50sensation many campers
28:51know well.
28:52The instinctive urge
28:54to get moving,
28:55as if something unseen
28:56is pushing you to flee.
28:58He stresses that
28:58nothing truly harmful
28:59occurred,
29:00but the intense emotional
29:02and sensory reaction
29:03made relaxation impossible.
29:06For Thomas Lachash,
29:07this night in the woods,
29:09with bugs, deer, and all,
29:10was an important step
29:11in his journey.
29:12As always,
29:14let me know
29:14what you thought
29:15of this experience.
29:16On January 7th,
29:182025,
29:19in the heart of winter,
29:21content creator
29:22Exploring with Bear
29:23returned to a remote
29:25and eerie stretch
29:26of wilderness,
29:27long known to his audience
29:29as a hotspot
29:30for unexplained activity,
29:32including reported sightings
29:33of Bigfoot
29:34and Dogman.
29:35The area had remained quiet
29:36for nearly a year,
29:37but this trip aimed
29:38to break that silence.
29:40Bear planned an overnight
29:41truck camp out,
29:43combined with surveillance,
29:44hoping to capture any signs
29:46of strange activity on camera.
29:48The conditions were brutal,
29:49with temperatures
29:50plummeting into the teens.
29:52Armed with only a wool blanket
29:53and a Zippo hand warmer,
29:56Bear set up camp
29:56in his truck
29:57near the edge of the forest.
29:59Despite the bitter cold,
30:00he stayed focused
30:01on his plan.
30:02Build a fire,
30:04place an apple
30:04at the so-called
30:05offering tree,
30:06and set up an infrared
30:07night vision camera
30:08to keep watch
30:09as he tried to rest.
30:10Adding to the uneasy atmosphere,
30:12Bear recalled
30:13that a person
30:14had drowned nearby
30:15in the past.
30:16A grim detail that,
30:18when paired with
30:18the area's long history
30:20of unexplained lights
30:21and strange sounds,
30:22deepened the sense
30:23of foreboding.
30:24Soon after setting up camp,
30:26he began to hear
30:27strange noises
30:27echoing through the woods,
30:29including metallic clanks
30:30and unnatural thuds.
30:33While checking
30:33near the offering tree,
30:35he came across
30:35what looked like
30:36large, unusual tracks,
30:39marking the beginning
30:40of a night
30:40that would grow
30:41increasingly bizarre.
30:42there we go.
30:47There we go.
30:48There we go.
30:48Did you guys hear that?
31:16What in the world
31:20was that?
31:20What in the world
31:21was that?
31:25What is this?
31:42this is footprints?
31:52What in the world?
31:57It goes down.
31:59Look at all the leaves
32:00messed up there.
32:05Oh my goodness.
32:06Some of the tracks
32:09were so large
32:09and widely spaced
32:10that they didn't seem
32:11to belong to
32:12any ordinary animal.
32:13Throughout the night,
32:14Bear experienced
32:15a series of disturbing events.
32:17One by one,
32:18his lights failed.
32:20The wind picked up
32:20forcefully.
32:21Footprints reappeared
32:22in areas he had just cleared.
32:24At one point,
32:25something struck
32:26the back of his truck,
32:27jolting him awake
32:28during a rare moment
32:29of rest.
32:30Strange movements
32:31continued intermittently,
32:32accompanied by distant
32:33howls or vocalizations.
32:35By early morning,
32:36Bear tried to
32:37reassess the situation,
32:39but found that
32:39the infrared camera
32:40he had set up
32:41was no longer
32:42where he left it.
32:43That strange discovery,
32:45along with the fact
32:46that the Apple offering
32:47remained untouched,
32:48added another layer
32:49of mystery.
32:50More tracks led away
32:51from the area,
32:52suggesting a nearby presence
32:53that avoided
32:54direct contact.
32:55Although no creature
32:56was clearly captured
32:57on camera,
32:58the combination
32:59of unexplained noises,
33:00displaced equipment,
33:02and strange prints
33:03created a deeply
33:04unsettling experience.
33:05By 4 a.m.,
33:07Bear had reached
33:07his breaking point.
33:09Cold, tired,
33:10and unnerved,
33:11he packed up to leave.
33:12The IR camera
33:13had stopped working entirely,
33:14and the surrounding forest
33:16was unnaturally still,
33:17yet thick
33:18with an eerie tension.
33:19Though no direct
33:20encounter occurred,
33:21the night's events
33:21left a strong
33:22and lingering impression.
33:24This outing served
33:25as a stark reminder
33:25that the wilderness
33:27holds secrets
33:27that defy
33:28easy explanation.
33:30At dawn,
33:30the creator
33:31of Project Darkwood
33:32set out into
33:33the remote forest
33:34of a secret location,
33:36responding to
33:36an invitation
33:37from a landowner
33:38who insisted
33:39that his property
33:40was regularly visited
33:41by something
33:41not quite human,
33:44a semi-aggressive Bigfoot.
33:45Welcome to Project Darkwood.
33:47My name is Don,
33:48and I'm disgusting.
33:49I've been hiking
33:50for like eight miles,
33:51and I'm sweaty.
33:53But basically
33:54what has happened
33:54is this guy
33:55contacted me
33:56through my email
33:57and said that
33:57he has a big piece
33:59of land
33:59that allegedly
34:00he has had
34:01multiple encounters
34:02with a semi-aggressive
34:04Bigfoot on.
34:05And he asked
34:06if I wanted to
34:07come check it out.
34:08And I was like,
34:09in what context?
34:10And he said,
34:10if you want,
34:11you can spend the night
34:12and, you know,
34:13camp out
34:13and see what happens.
34:15And I said, yes.
34:17So here I am.
34:18I'm on his property.
34:19I got my camp
34:20set up right now.
34:21I had to hike
34:21into the middle of it
34:22because I wanted
34:23a good vantage point
34:24to get to all the corners.
34:25Also, if you watched
34:26the New Year's update video
34:28in it,
34:28I talked about how
34:29my night vision camera
34:30was kind of having
34:31malfunction issues
34:32when I was in Blue Ridge.
34:33Well, unfortunately,
34:34it shit the bed
34:35and is now
34:36just out of commission
34:37completely.
34:38So we are going old school.
34:40I'm using the DSLR
34:41with a headlamp.
34:42It's a pretty bright one,
34:43so we should be all right.
34:44I thought about waiting
34:44until I got the
34:45night vision cam fixed,
34:46but I have no idea
34:47when I'm going to be able
34:48to afford that.
34:49And I definitely
34:50cannot afford a new one,
34:51so we're just going to wing it.
34:52Yeah, it should be
34:53completely dark
34:54in a couple hours or so.
34:56And then we will
34:57put on the gear
34:58and go look around
34:59and see what we see.
35:01Hopefully, I don't get eaten.
35:02I don't think I will,
35:03but, you know.
35:04What was meant to be
35:05a night of cryptid exploration
35:06quickly escalated
35:07into something
35:08much more frightening.
35:10In their introduction,
35:11Don admits
35:12there's no graceful way
35:13to put it.
35:14They may have actually
35:15captured Bigfoot on camera.
35:17Rather than creating suspense,
35:19they dive straight
35:20into the footage,
35:21letting their genuine reactions
35:22and the evidence
35:23speak for themselves.
35:25The outing started
35:25with hope and enthusiasm.
35:27The property was vast,
35:29filled with trails
35:30and bordered by
35:31several bodies of water,
35:32a detail that caught
35:33Don's eye,
35:34since cryptids are often
35:36reported near water sources.
35:37The battery seems to not
35:39last as long
35:39in the lighting ring,
35:40so if that goes out,
35:41we will at least have
35:42the headlamp.
35:43Just going to try my best
35:44to try to make sure
35:46everything is well lit,
35:47which seems to keep it
35:48from getting crunchy,
35:49and try to hold
35:52the camera still.
35:53Something is moving.
35:54There's like armadillos
35:55everywhere,
35:56and they sound so much
35:57bigger than they are.
35:58There's one earlier
35:58I started getting freaked out,
36:00and then I saw it.
36:00I was like,
36:00God damn it,
36:01every time.
36:02I do have my bear mace
36:04on me,
36:04just in case
36:05anything decides
36:07to get frisky with me.
36:10Don't think it will,
36:11but better safe than sorry.
36:12By the way,
36:13this is the northeastern
36:15corner of the property-ish.
36:17Where we are right now.
36:20I can see tiny
36:21eyeshine everywhere.
36:23There's like spiders
36:24and stuff.
36:25There's plenty of
36:25water sources
36:26on this property.
36:27I can see why
36:27there would be
36:28any kind of animal
36:30activity on here,
36:31especially cryptids.
36:34I don't know how much
36:35this has to do with
36:35cryptids specifically
36:36as opposed to
36:37any other animal,
36:38but like they're
36:38almost always
36:39sighted near sources
36:40of water.
36:41To me,
36:42that just sounds like
36:42they're things that
36:43need to drink water
36:44to live.
36:48But,
36:48I could be wrong.
36:51There's like the
36:51whole missing 411
36:52thing of like
36:53water source
36:56plus granite
36:57equals missing people
36:58or whatever.
37:00Strong sulfur smell.
37:02And of course,
37:02the guy who's letting
37:03me stay here
37:04did not want me
37:05to dox him,
37:06so I will not do that.
37:07I'm not getting
37:07any weird vibes.
37:08I don't feel like
37:09I'm being watched.
37:11Nothing's really happening.
37:12I think we'll move
37:14on to another sector.
37:18Jesus Christ,
37:19this property is huge.
37:21I'm going to walk
37:21miles at a time
37:22just to get between
37:23the different parts.
37:25Because their night
37:26vision camera
37:27malfunctioned,
37:28they switched to
37:29filming with a DSLR
37:30and a headlamp,
37:32going back to a
37:33more traditional
37:34method.
37:35Their goal was to
37:36thoroughly explore
37:36the entire property
37:37and possibly capture
37:39something extraordinary.
37:40They trekked for hours
37:41through thick forest,
37:43methodically checking
37:44every section of the land.
37:45When they reached
37:46the southwestern corner,
37:47known for the most
37:48reported activity,
37:49the atmosphere
37:50started to change.
37:51Seems like there's a little
37:53less animal activity
37:56over this way.
37:57Quieter.
37:58Which seems promising.
38:00Some of these trails
38:01are really thick.
38:04Wide trails makes me wonder
38:05what this land used to be for.
38:06because I don't think
38:07he made all the trails
38:08himself.
38:09I think he probably
38:09bought it like this,
38:10at least for the most part.
38:12Okay, well,
38:13I've been around this part
38:18for about an hour now.
38:21Nothing seems to be
38:22happening, so let's go
38:22ahead and move to the
38:23southwestern corner.
38:26So the light panel
38:27finally died.
38:28There's bugs everywhere.
38:30I'm going to continue
38:30on with the headlamp
38:32and hopefully that
38:32should be just fine.
38:33All right, we're now
38:34in the southwestern
38:36corner of the property.
38:38Allegedly, this is where
38:40the guy said he had
38:40the most activity.
38:42That remains to be seen.
38:47It's a little spooky,
38:48I guess.
38:50It's mostly just quiet.
38:52Apparently they're building
38:53a subdivision over that way.
38:54Huh.
38:57Oh.
38:57What the hell was that?
39:02Oh.
39:04There's something walking.
39:09Oh, shh.
39:11Okay.
39:11All right.
39:13Okay.
39:18Oh.
39:19Oh, thank you.
39:20Okay.
39:21Oh.
39:22Fucking keys.
39:24Jesus Christ.
39:25Oh.
39:27Okay.
39:29Oh.
39:32Holy f**k.
39:32I'm still filming.
39:34Okay.
39:36I ran
39:37all the way back
39:38to the car.
39:39Jesus Christ.
39:43I hope to f**k.
39:44I caught that.
39:46Oh.
39:47Okay.
39:49I'm going to get
39:50my stuff tomorrow
39:51and just hope
39:52that it's all still there
39:53and not f**ked up at all.
39:57F**king Christ.
40:01Holy s**t.
40:01I've never run so fast
40:02in my life.
40:04I'm f**king shaking.
40:06Holy f**k.
40:08All right.
40:09It didn't even hit me
40:10fully until like
40:13a couple seconds after.
40:14Don's reaction
40:15is completely authentic.
40:17Raw.
40:18Terrified.
40:19And instinctive.
40:20They gasp.
40:21Jesus Christ.
40:22Grab their keys
40:23and dash through the forest
40:24with the camera still rolling.
40:26The footage is shaky
40:27and chaotic
40:28but undeniably real.
40:30Their heart pounds
40:31and breath is ragged
40:32as they race back
40:32to their car.
40:34Overwhelmed
40:34by what just happened.
40:36Once safe,
40:37Don reflects
40:37on the experience.
40:39Admitting they didn't
40:40fully grasp it
40:40until the fear
40:41settled deep within them.
40:43Though hesitant
40:43to share the footage,
40:45knowing if it's genuine
40:46it could attract
40:47unwanted attention,
40:48they decide to trust
40:49their instincts
40:50and community
40:51by uploading it.
40:52Later,
40:53in a post-encounter reflection,
40:55Don provides context.
40:57The landowner
40:58who invited them
40:59seemed sincere
41:00with no reason
41:01to fabricate the story.
41:02Don returned the next day
41:03to collect their gear,
41:05which was thankfully untouched.
41:07But the unease lingered.
41:09What struck them
41:09wasn't just the size
41:11of the figure
41:11or the eyeshine.
41:12Something typical costumes
41:14failed to mimic.
41:15But the way it moved.
41:16The visible musculature
41:18under the skin
41:18and the fluidity
41:19of its motion.
41:20It didn't act
41:21like someone in a suit.
41:23Still rattled,
41:24Don explains their gut
41:25warned them of danger,
41:27sensing that whatever it was
41:29didn't want them there.
41:30Whether territorial
41:31or simply observing,
41:32the energy shifted
41:33dramatically
41:34in that final moment.
41:35I've never run
41:36so fast in my life,
41:38they admit,
41:39still visibly shaken.
41:41At the same time,
41:42Don acknowledges
41:43the possibility
41:43of a hoax
41:44or that fear
41:45may have distorted
41:46their perception.
41:47Even as the logical part
41:48of their mind
41:49questions the footage's
41:50authenticity,
41:52their instincts
41:52tell a different story.
41:54One that felt real
41:55and definitely not human.
41:57They don't claim certainty,
41:58only that what they experienced
42:00felt are profoundly wrong.
42:02In the end,
42:03Don promises to release
42:05a frame-by-frame analysis,
42:06soon to better understand
42:08what they captured.
42:09Aware that cryptid content
42:10can invite both curiosity
42:11and ridicule.
42:12They remain determined
42:13to seek answers,
42:14even if those answers
42:16frighten them.
42:16What are your thoughts
42:17on this encounter?
42:18I'll leave it to you
42:19to draw your own conclusions.
42:20So that is all for now
42:21with the campers video.
42:23Which of them
42:24do you think
42:24has a true camper story?
