00:00I keep on hearing stuff outside.
00:04This is our home, man. You stole our stuff?
00:13Grizzly Gaz, a YouTuber known for his overnight solo explorations
00:17of allegedly haunted or mysterious locations,
00:21embarked on another investigation.
00:23This time in a notorious forest in West Yorkshire.
00:26The area, steeped in chilling folklore, is infamous among locals for its unsettling history,
00:33which includes alleged UFO sightings, mysterious lights in the sky,
00:37and bizarre tales ranging from headless horsemen to indecent prowlers lurking in the shadows.
00:43Driven by a mix of curiosity and unease,
00:46Gaz returned to this eerie woodland to conduct his latest investigation.
00:50One of the most well-known stories linked to the location dates back to the 1980s,
00:56and involves a 12-year-old girl named Paula Green.
01:00She claimed to have witnessed a large spacecraft land in the forest
01:04and reported seeing several alien beings exit the craft,
01:07followed by a puzzling two-hour gap in her memory.
01:10Other eerie reports from the area include ghostly lights
01:13and the ghostly figure of a headless horseman,
01:16believed to ride through the woods after dark.
01:18More recently, the forest became the scene of a disturbing event
01:22involving a naked man allegedly harassing young women.
01:27As Gaz arrived at his campsite,
01:30he was joined by his loyal dog Fendi,
01:32whose declining health had been a source of concern.
01:35While setting up camp,
01:36Gaz opened up to his viewers about the toll his mental health
01:40and Fendi's condition had taken on him,
01:42explaining the recent inactivity on his channel.
01:45Committed to staying safe,
01:47he installed a sophisticated perimeter alarm system
01:49with multiple motion sensors to monitor the area from every angle.
01:53We've got an alarm system.
01:56Our fence has just gone through.
01:58There we go, look.
02:00Number one.
02:00So if anything comes through that way,
02:10it should tell me.
02:13And if anything comes through that way,
02:15that one should tell me.
02:17And apparently,
02:19this has a range of 500 metres from transmitter to receiver.
02:24So this should give me an early warning sign
02:26if anyone's coming into camp while I'm asleep in bed.
02:34Yeah, I did see something over there.
02:37Or hear something.
02:42Can't make out what it is though.
02:43Just over the top of the tent.
02:53Right over there.
02:55Behind them trees.
02:57I don't know if you'll be able to see it.
03:02Some are moving anyway.
03:03It's probably just a bird.
03:04The motion-triggered alarms,
03:07set up to detect any nearby activity,
03:10gave Gaz a sense of security
03:12as he prepared to spend the night in his tent.
03:14As the light began to fade,
03:16he ventured deeper into the woods,
03:18where he came across several rough,
03:20makeshift, lean-to shelters.
03:22Though likely built by local teens,
03:24their presence only intensified
03:26the eerie and unsettling atmosphere of the forest.
03:29Look at this.
03:32A little lean-to or something here.
03:34That's a pretty strange set-up, isn't it?
03:50Is this the way in?
04:00What do you think, Fendl?
04:04Some feathers on the floor there, it looks like.
04:08Something's been gobbled up.
04:13Mr Wood Pigeon, probably.
04:16Oh, he's angry.
04:17Squirrel over there.
04:20Shattering away.
04:21It's just very odd how people make these
04:25sort of structures, isn't it?
04:28Because it's obviously not going to
04:30protect you from rain.
04:33Hot wind, really.
04:34Yeah, definitely Bigfoot.
04:39Look at this, is this,
04:41the hangman's tree.
04:45Is it just where
04:45kids have had
04:47swings?
04:49I want to swing on that,
04:50it's dead, that.
04:53Can't have my fat ass on that.
04:54If you remember this,
05:06from when
05:06someone put the
05:08hand on me tent
05:10and pushed it right down.
05:12Ah!
05:12That happened here.
05:17I think.
05:21Unless this is a different tree.
05:23Many of the trees
05:24were marked with
05:25unusual reflective symbols.
05:27White dots arranged in patterns
05:28that resembled upside-down triangles.
05:30What could they be?
05:49Well, no, to be fair.
05:51Looks like bird poo, but...
05:55Can you see them?
05:58Three dots.
05:59Like in a upside-down triangle.
06:06Looks like bird poo,
06:07but it's reflected.
06:10Hmm.
06:12Very peculiar.
06:14These odd markings
06:15were placed unusually high
06:16on the trees,
06:18about eight to nine feet
06:19off the ground,
06:20and reflected brightly
06:21when caught in the beam
06:22of Gazza's flashlight.
06:24At first,
06:25he speculated
06:25they might just be
06:26bird droppings,
06:27as darkness fully settled
06:29over the forest,
06:30Gaz climbed into his tent
06:31with Fendi by his side.
06:33The stillness of the night
06:34was soon broken
06:34by the sound
06:35of snapping branches
06:37and rustling leaves nearby.
06:38Just heard a couple of branches break.
06:52Not far away.
06:57The stillness of the night
07:00from the wind
07:16of the wind
07:17from the wind
07:19and the wind
07:20up.
07:21Fendi, show up.
07:44She was thirsty, weren't she?
07:51Pitch black now.
08:07Shortly afterward, Gaz's perimeter alarm began to go off.
08:21I keep on hearing stuff outside, branches breaking, stuff falling.
08:48Twig snapping, 1am, can you hear it?
09:18I can hear it.
09:25I can hear it.
09:29I can hear it.
09:33I can hear it.
09:37I can hear it.
09:52Dude, that's just lit up.
09:56Number two.
10:08Fuck.
10:11Happy Friday.
10:21ED
10:24The first alarm went off unexpectedly, and although Gaz quickly left his tent to check,
10:52he found no signs of movement. The area remained completely silent.
10:56This happened several times throughout the night. The alarms would sound with no obvious
11:00cause nearby. Unlike earlier, when he heard noises like snapping twigs, these alarm triggers
11:05occurred in total silence, adding to the mystery. As the night wore on, the forest felt increasingly
11:10oppressive. The mix of snapping branches, heavy thudding sounds resembling galloping footsteps,
11:16possibly linked to the legendary Headless Horseman, and random flickers of reflected light
11:21kept Gaz on edge. After hours of sporadic alarms, eerie noises, and rising tension,
11:28dawn finally broke. Exhausted but unharmed, Gaz emerged from his tent, relieved to have made
11:35it through the night without any direct confrontation. Though the investigation didn't uncover clear
11:40proof of paranormal activity, the experience added another atmospheric chapter to Grizzly
11:45Gaz's ongoing exploration of the unexplained. While nothing overtly threatening appeared,
11:50the eerie legends, strange sounds, and mysterious reflective markings left behind a lingering sense
11:56of unease and unanswered questions. On February 26th, 2023, the YouTuber behind the channel Camp
12:04Like a Boon set out on another stealth camping adventure, this time participating in the February
12:09Water Challenge, organized by the Stealth Camping Alliance and Basic Stealth Camping and Adventures.
12:15Fully committed to the challenge, he picked a well-known tourist spot famous for its walking
12:20and biking trails that ran right alongside water features, carrying all his gear in a single large
12:26backpack. With no extra bags, he planned to camp in an area typically bustling with visitors during
12:31the day. Knowing that sneaking into such a busy location would be tough because of the constant foot
12:37traffic, he took a different approach. Rather than trying to stay hidden, he made himself so noticeable
12:42that people wouldn't suspect he was actually camping, a tactic he called obvious stealth camping.
12:48Upon arrival, he patiently waited for groups of tourists photographing the swans to clear out,
12:53allowing him to quietly slip into his chosen campsite, tucked away behind thick bushes near the water.
12:59I'm waiting for the people there. To leave. Because hey, that's a nice bird. What I was saying.
13:13I'm waiting for those people to leave because of the forest behind them is where I'm going to set up camp.
13:22They're slowly leaving. They're taking pictures of the swans.
13:36Look guys, there is my spot. There, these bushes.
13:44Once the area had emptied, he swiftly moved into the bushes and started setting up his camp.
13:49So first, let's try the 내 Groove.
14:17That mistake is...
14:47and uh i'm out of breath but let's let me take this off first
15:00i can show you why i picked this spot
15:16here's my camp behind it is the lake the pond and
15:37there are lots of geese plenty of geese the spot was located beside a small pond
15:43where signs of wildlife were immediately apparent near his campsite he found evidence of wild pigs
15:49rooting around for food showing that boars frequently visited the area although the pigs
15:54weren't nearby at the moment he planned to stay alert throughout the night since their activity
15:58typically picks up after dark as evening approached he took a short walk to scout the area from the
16:04far side of the pond confirming that his campsite remained well concealed from public view with
16:09nightfall coming quickly he hurried to gather firewood for cooking despite the cooling temperatures
16:14and deepening darkness the setting stayed calm interrupted only by the calls of geese and distant
16:19wildlife by 9 p.m his camp was fully established and the surroundings had grown much quieter
16:25since it was a sunday night he didn't anticipate much more human activity as most locals were likely
16:31getting ready for work the next day it's now i think about nine o'clock p.m it's dark for some time
16:42i don't expect many people around here anymore today because it's sunday night sunday evening
16:52and everybody has to go to work tomorrow almost everybody except me i have an extra day off especially
17:00for the february challenge special shout out to the stealth camping alliance
17:10cheers everybody however the peaceful evening was soon disrupted while quietly sitting at his camp
17:18he spotted movement in the distance and quickly realized that authorities were patrolling the area
17:23the foresters managing the land equipped with headlamps had noticed the faint red glow from his own
17:28headlamp from afar despite his efforts to stay concealed the distinctive light from his gear
17:34unintentionally revealed his location after circling his campsite several times the foresters
17:39eventually approached and confronted him they requested his identification took his passport and
17:44cameras and told him he needed to pack up immediately the situation escalated when they instructed him to
17:50come with them to their office on the domain's premises as he dismantled his camp in the dark
17:55he voiced his frustration but stayed cooperative still he kept a light-hearted attitude joking that
18:01his main worry was whether he'd managed to keep track of his signature hat during the ordeal
18:06so guys i got busted i'm packing up my gear i'm out of here i have to go to the office
18:13this foresters uh this foresters they have an own office here at the domain and they took my passport
18:22they took two cameras and we will see if uh what will be the verdict i don't know but i don't have much
18:30time i have to pack and i have to walk all the way to my car that i parked further away and i have to drive
18:38to their office and all this stuff so guys i'm packing in the dark
18:46what a boon adventure this is completely boring
18:53leave no trace
18:56except uh big tickets we will see what the future will bring
19:06oh dang
19:17that's my lemon
19:24so guys this is it i'm uh off to the office
19:31i hope i still have my camp like a boon hat
19:38i can't find it anywhere so
19:42i hope i didn't lose it
19:46but let's go to the foresters office get back my idea and my cameras
19:53after quickly packing up he began the long walk back to his vehicle parked some distance away
19:59getting ready to head to the office to retrieve his confiscated items the situation ended with him
20:04handing over his personal details and awaiting any potential penalties although visibly frustrated by
20:10how things unfolded he took responsibility for violating the rules and openly shared the whole
20:16experience with his audience as always let me know your thoughts on this encounter on april 17 2022
20:23philly and keely were wrapping up their 10-month van life adventure across europe their journey had
20:28taken them from the uk all the way to turkey and back with plans to conclude the trip in spain
20:34keely's sister had joined them for this final stretch but rather than ending on a high note they faced one
20:40of the most difficult moments of their travels while parked near a climbing spot in revin spain they
20:45returned from a day of climbing to discover their van had been broken into yeah we've came back
20:50and they smashed our van and it's been completely ransacked
20:55so they seem to have went through everything all our electronics have opened our camera bags
21:17and the good thing is our laptops for for the first time in eight months weren't in the bank
21:23like the first time in ten months our hard drive isn't in the van so they haven't got old footage
21:29they went through my pants right like they've opened up our packing cubes and everything
21:37they've went through everything cameras gone old cameras gone yeah any cash that we had in the
21:43drawers gone
21:49do we call our insurance or anything do we have contents insurance for our
21:52we should have contacts insurance we're filing a police report we're calling our insurance
21:56i just need to get my phone on charge
22:00okay gracias adios
22:04well so um i called 112 and told her all the info that we've been broken into that they've stolen a lot
22:13of stuff that this is our home etc so she's passing all of that information on to the police and told us
22:20just to wait here so yeah i'm actually in shock we have managed to go nearly a year with no problems
22:29traveling around
22:32but i mean it's shit they've took a lot of money and stuff as well but at least our laptops weren't in
22:37there like that's they've took our new camera they've took our new microphone they've took weird stuff
22:43they took our new camera
22:52the window had been smashed and the inside of the van was left in complete disarray the thieves took
22:57several valuable items including a recently purchased camera a microphone and cash clothes and personal
23:04items were scattered everywhere highlighting how thoroughly their space had been invaded amid the chaos
23:10there was one small silver lining for the first time in almost a year they hadn't brought their
23:15laptops or hard drives with them that day these stored months of travel footage and priceless memories
23:21and luckily they remained untouched although they lost gear worth thousands of dollars the fact that
23:28their memories were safe brought a bit of comfort oh dear keeley's on the phone to the insurance now
23:34not really the thing that you want to film but i don't know i feel like it's important to show that
23:39shit happens you know it's not very nice that knowing someone's been in your home
23:47so we're waiting on the police uh i'm just talking to insurance now because like we said they've taken
23:51a lot of stuff from our van they've smashed their window i honestly don't i'm in shock so i don't really
23:58know i don't know guys police are here they came uh here so the police are here and we have to follow
24:08them look us up guys look we found our passports they were in amongst the strewn documents on the floor
24:19could be worse at least we're both safe the van is safe the van was here
24:24all our like yeah it's just it's just stuff and you know stuff can be replaced
24:30yeah it could have been a lot worse it could have been a lot worse emotionally the experience
24:35left them both deeply unsettled the realization that strangers had violated the safety of their
24:40home on wheels made them feel exposed and vulnerable they promptly reached out to local authorities
24:47and filed a police report officers arrived to inspect the scene amid the mess philly and keely
24:53were relieved to find their passports which had been thrown among the scattered papers the days that
24:59followed were marked by emotional strain and the difficult task of coming to terms with what had
25:04happened i'm not sure what i've said to you guys because it's all a bit of a blur but uh we're back
25:10at my parents apartment now so i'm basically gonna start putting the van back together we had a big
25:18mad list of stuff that's been stolen the thing i'm most absolutely devastated about is the camera i'm kind
25:28of hoping that i'm gonna magically find it in this pile of clothes that they've left strewn on the bed
25:33but we already know we're not philly is in the front taping up the hole not having memory of time are we
25:44no so while he tapes up that hole i'm gonna put away our stuff i mean who does this look pants
25:55pants i mean you can't see it now but they they went through everything or like everything everything
26:02you know they pulled out like board games and checked in them as if we had secret worlds of
26:06cash in our board games or something like you know man it's such a violation it's such a violation
26:17it's pretty hard to film this i'm not gonna lie
26:24yeah man it really sucks really sucks that someone came in here like someone
26:32was up in this bed like where i am right now talking to you someone was up here like going
26:38through our stuff when they stole everything of value to us
26:46like who are you you know like if you know someone in spain who randomly robs people at climbing crags in
26:53red van like freaking shame them okay send them this video this is our home man you stole our stuff
27:04they contacted their insurance provider only to find that much of what was stolen wasn't adequately
27:09covered or the claims process was so costly and complex that it hardly seemed worth pursuing
27:15the emotional aftermath was intense knowing that strangers had walked through their intimate living
27:20space handled their belongings and stolen from them left them feeling deeply violated it wasn't just
27:26about the financial loss it was about the shattering of their sense of security though thankful they
27:31hadn't been physically harmed the psychological impact lingered in an effort to regain a sense of
27:37control they returned to the site of the break-in clinging to the slim hope they might spot someone
27:42wearing philly's coat or find traces of their stolen camera deep down they knew the chances were slim
27:49but simply taking action offered a small degree of solace when their search turned up nothing they
27:55shifted their focus to making the most of the remainder of their trip they went back to climbing
27:59with friends using the physical challenge as a much-needed distraction the overwhelming support from
28:04their online community full of kind words and encouragement brought comfort during this difficult time
28:10eventually it was time to leave spain they drove to bilbao to catch a ferry back to ireland
28:16despite losing valuable equipment and enduring emotional hardship they chose not to let the
28:20experience define their journey their resilience had been tested but their passion for van life
28:26and for each other remained strong what do you think about their experience let me know your thoughts
28:32the indonesian youtube channel ladventure set out on a spine chilling exploration of a long abandoned house
28:39rumored to be haunted located in a remote mountainous area with few inhabitants the house had been
28:45deserted for years following the deaths of the homeowner and more recently his son locals believed the
28:51property had since become a gathering spot for supernatural beings known locally as demet upon arrival
28:58l adventure introduced the site and began the exploration with prayers for safety as he approached the
29:04houses unsettling noises immediately caught his attention inside the first house he found several
29:10rooms containing old bed frames a kitchen area and dusty neglected furnishings left behind he pressed on
29:18exploring both houses further the second house was especially eerie carrying an even heavier oppressive
29:24atmosphere despite appearing untouched for years during the investigation the youtuber reported hearing
29:30distinct sounds coming from behind curtains and above ceilings including footsteps on sand covered upper
29:36floors to deepen the investigation ledventure set up two cctv cameras one in the living room and another
29:43outside near the courtyard he aimed to capture any paranormal activity overnight without remaining inside himself
29:58the main living room was selected for its wider field of view while the smaller inner rooms went unmonitored
30:04due to their tight space his plan was to let the cameras record until midnight and collect the footage
30:09the next morning before leaving he remarked on how heavy and oppressive the darkness felt and chose to
30:15leave a small light on indoors to aid the infrared cameras in detecting any unusual movement although he had
30:21initially planned to stay inside until midnight a sudden loud noise caused him to leave the location earlier than
30:28intended
31:28As he exited, he repeatedly whispered prayers for protection, showing that the tension had reached its peak.
31:46The heavy, oppressive atmosphere, combined with the growing strange noises and unsettling sensations, eventually became too much for him.
31:54The video ended with him safely outside, leaving only the recording gear behind.
31:59Footage from the following day was not included, leaving viewers in suspense about what, if anything, the cameras recorded overnight.
32:07Throughout the investigation, L Adventure struck a careful balance between skepticism and respect for local beliefs.
32:13Although no direct visual proof of supernatural activity was captured during his live exploration, the intense atmosphere of fear, unexplained sounds, and occasional physical sensations created a gripping experience.
32:27His journey not only highlighted the haunted reputation of the abandoned homes, but also revealed the psychological challenges of exploring such places alone at night.
32:35Malene, a van lifer who chronicles her nomadic adventures on YouTube, recounted a chilling experience from one of her solo camping nights.
32:43The unsettling incident started while she was staying at a secluded hot spring, a spot she had used several times before without issue.
32:50During those previous nights, she observed trucks coming and going intermittently, which she initially regarded as strange, but harmless.
32:57However, on this night, the situation took a disturbing turn that left her profoundly unsettled.
33:04For the last couple nights that I have been at that hot spring, there have been trucks coming and going, and I haven't thought of much of it.
33:14I was a little bit weirded out, because last night there was a truck that was kind of being weird.
33:20He would park for a little bit, and then drive around, and then park, and then drive around, being really loud.
33:26And it kept waking me up. That's why I remember it so well.
33:30And he would, like, leave his headlights on, which are really bright out there, because it's super dark.
33:34And I was like, whatever, like, he's not bothering me.
33:38Then another truck comes. I don't know if it's the same person or if it's a different person, but a truck comes.
33:46I'm like, whatever, maybe this is just, like, what they do.
33:49So I let Athena out to go to the bathroom, and then when I let her back in, I hear, like, really loud talking, and I'm just thinking, like, oh, like, I don't know, there's these people talking out there.
34:04But then I start to, like, listen to what he's saying, and he's, like, yelling.
34:07And he's, like, are you scared? You should be scared. Are you spooked? You should be.
34:14Like, but, like, in a really mean voice and, like, really loud.
34:18Because I can hear him, and he's not that close to me.
34:21So he's, like, screaming it.
34:22I wasn't scared until he was, like, screaming. I don't even know what he was talking about.
34:27Anyway, then he starts driving like a maniac.
34:30He, like, skirts out, and it's snowing, by the way. It's, like, super snowing and icing.
34:36And he's, like, driving all around, and he, like, circles around my van.
34:41Okay, so he circles around my van, and then he keeps going.
34:44And at this point, I've got the keys.
34:46Like, as soon as I heard, like, he was, like, screaming, I, like, grabbed my keys.
34:50As soon as I didn't see his lights anymore, I just, like, booked it out of there.
34:53His words weren't aimed at anyone visible to her, yet the hostility was unmistakable.
34:57What happened next was even more disturbing.
34:59The man began driving unpredictably, weaving his truck around Malene's van, despite the slippery, icy roads.
35:06Sensing the danger, the moment his headlights vanished from sight, she quickly started her van and drove away,
35:12desperate to create as much distance as possible from the strange and threatening behavior.
35:16Thankfully, she wasn't chased, but her getaway still came with its own difficulties.
35:21Um, but I was just so nervous.
35:24I just, like, put in the GPS, like, rest area and just clicked the first one that I saw.
35:27Uh, it's dark, so I don't really recognize the area.
35:31Like, I tried to go back the way that I came, but I didn't really recognize where I was going.
35:36So I go three miles down this, like, random road.
35:39And there's these potholes, and I don't notice them right away, and it's too late by the time I notice them.
35:48And I bought them out so bad that my spare tire falls off of my van.
35:54And then I reach where I'm supposed to turn onto the freeway, and there's a fence.
35:59It's fenced off.
36:00So I have to turn back around.
36:03She drove along unfamiliar roads in the dark, depending on her GPS to find the closest rest stop.
36:08Unfortunately, as she traveled down a poorly maintained route, she hit several deep potholes,
36:15causing her van to bottom out so badly that the spare tire came loose and fell off.
36:19When she finally reached what she believed was a freeway entrance,
36:22she found it blocked by a locked fence, forcing her to turn around and backtrack.
36:26Eventually, she arrived at a rest area where she could park safely for the night.
36:31However, the events of the evening had taken a significant emotional toll on her.
36:37While heading to the rest stop, she passed numerous dead rabbits scattered across the road.
36:42Seeing one barely alive after being struck,
36:44combined with the stress of the frightening experience and the dangerous drive,
36:48overwhelmed her and brought her to tears.
36:51The mix of adrenaline, fear, and sorrow at the injured animal left her feeling drained.
36:55Malene admitted that although her story might not seem dramatic to others,
37:00it was genuinely terrifying in the moment,
37:02like waking from a nightmare that sounds less intense when told,
37:06but felt deeply frightening while it was happening.
37:08Philly and Keeley, the Van Life YouTubers, made a second appearance in this episode,
37:14recounting what began as an awe-inspiring journey through Greece,
37:17but quickly turned into a frightening ordeal.
37:20Their trip kicked off with high spirits as they explored Meteora,
37:22one of Greece's most breathtaking destinations.
37:26They were filled with excitement as they climbed the steps to the Varla Monastery,
37:30marveling at the well-preserved architecture and the stunning views around them.
37:35Inside the monastery, they discovered intricate and haunting frescoes,
37:39depicting graphic scenes of martyrdom, suffering, and death.
37:43These vivid images sparked their curiosity about the historical background behind such intense artwork.
37:50While they admired the artistic beauty,
37:52the unsettling scenes cast a darker shadow over their otherwise magical experience in Meteora.
37:59During their stay, Philly and Keeley enjoyed cooking in their van,
38:02witnessing spectacular sunrises,
38:05and even taking on personal challenges like jogging in the freezing cold.
38:08They openly shared their struggles with the bitter temperatures,
38:12often tempted to stay wrapped up warmly inside their van.
38:15Yet, they pushed themselves to get outside, exercise,
38:19and fully embrace the van life experience in Greece.
38:22Their humor, determination, and sincere appreciation for nature's beauty shone through,
38:27even amid discomfort.
38:29However, the atmosphere shifted dramatically near the end of their trip.
38:33After a day of exploring,
38:34they parked near some hot springs,
38:37a popular camping spot they found through a camping app.
38:40Though the app included safety warnings,
38:43other users had assured them it was safe,
38:45so they felt confident settling in for the night.
38:48Then, suddenly,
38:50they were thrust into a terrifying situation.
38:53What are you shining your light for?
38:57Where's your phone?
38:58No!
39:00You're not police!
39:01No!
39:01No!
39:01No!

39:04No!
39:10Am I coming in the front with you?
39:12I don't know.
39:12I just can't see anybody anymore.
39:13They've all of a sudden gone.
39:15They just appeared out of...
39:16Bushes?
39:17Bushes.
39:18You kept telling me to open the door?
39:20No.
39:20There he is, there.
39:21Where?
39:22There's somebody in front of us over to the right.
39:28Sorry.
39:29Sorry.
39:30Do you think I was just going to open the door?
39:35He was trying to handle.
39:37I know, that's when I knew it wasn't late.
39:39Yeah.
39:40So now, we're just kind of stranded on the side of a road.
39:43To give a little context, we'd been looking at Park for night in this area.
39:48There's some hot springs, like we said, we wanted to come to Hot Springs.
39:51And we had read loads of horror stories on the park for nights.
39:55But then we knew other people who had been here.
39:57We messaged and they were like, no, it felt totally safe.
40:00And, you know, it's out of season.
40:01So we've had, where we've read Park for nights before and had wonderful experiences.
40:08This was not that situation.
40:10All right, guys, we parked up significant distance away from that other park up.
40:16But what can I say?
40:17I'm really annoyed.
40:19Guys, the thing is for me, right, is the absolute audacity that they kept trying to get in the van.
40:24And kept demanding that we open the van to them.
40:27And I'm like, what was their plan?
40:28Did they have a weapon?
40:30Were they trying to, like, how were they planning to steal everything while we were both here?
40:35A group of people suddenly emerged from the nearby bushes and began trying to force their way into the van.
40:41The intruders shone lights inside and repeatedly demanded that Philly and Keeley open the door.
40:46What unsettled the couple the most was the boldness of the attackers.
40:50They clearly knew they were inside but still aggressively tried to get in.
40:53This wasn't a random smash and grab.
40:55It was a deliberate and confrontational act.
40:59Fearing for their safety, Philly and Keeley quickly decided to escape.
41:03They jumped into the front seats and drove off, leaving the hostile group behind.
41:07They found a new spot to park far away from the scene.
41:10But the trauma of the encounter weighed heavily on them.
41:12The brazenness of the attempted break-in deeply disturbed them.
41:16Especially since it wasn't their first experience with van-related crime.
41:21Having already been victims of a previous break-in during their travels, which we covered in their first story.
41:27This second incident reopened old wounds and intensified their feelings of vulnerability.
41:31Despite the trauma, they expressed their love for Greece and its people.
41:35Emphasizing that this event did not reflect their overall experience in the country.
41:40Still, the fear and unease lingered.
41:44And they honestly admitted that it would take time to regain a sense of safety while living on the road.
41:49Their honesty about the emotional toll highlighted the very real risk of van life.
41:54Even for experienced travelers.
41:56What did you think of this encounter?
41:57I'd love to hear your thoughts.
41:59And with this last encounter, another episode comes to a close.
