00:00Good morning. After a showery weekend for many of us, today is set to be quite changeable too.
00:06And there will be some pretty persistent and heavy rain in places, particularly across Northern Ireland first thing this morning.
00:10So here we have this warning for rain in place for much of the day to come.
00:15Some flooding on the roads is possible here.
00:17And it won't just be Northern Ireland. Parts of Western Scotland, parts of Wales in the southwest will also see some rain at times through the day today.
00:25But at the east, though, it's a different setup entirely.
00:27So a mixture of sunny spells and scattered heavy showers for Scotland, Northern England, parts of the Midlands and East Anglia in the southeast.
00:34So here, quite a bit warmer in those sunny spells. We could see temperatures get into the mid-20s.
00:38But when those showers come along, you'll really know about it.
00:41So some gusty winds, the potential for some hail and certainly some frequent lightning and heavy rain as well.
00:47So temperatures up to 25 degrees in the warmest spots, but generally a little bit fresher out towards the west with the wind coming in from the Atlantic.
00:54Now, by this evening, that rain will be starting to ease very slowly across Western Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:00But there'll still be showery outbreaks of rain through this evening and overnight for many northern and western parts of the UK.
01:06It's the east where we like to hold on to something a little bit drier and clearer by the time we get to the end of the night.
01:12But despite the clearer skies further east, temperatures will hold up into double figures.
01:16And actually, some western areas won't fall much below 15 to 17 degrees Celsius tonight.
01:21So another fairly warm night to come.
01:23Now, Tuesday's not looking as unsettled as of late.
01:27The showers won't be quite as widespread or indeed as heavy as they have been.
01:31But nonetheless, there will be some showers or longer spells of rain for Scotland in particular, the west, northwestern parts of England as well.
01:39But many parts of England and Wales actually getting away with a fairly reasonable day with some dry periods.
01:44And if the sunshine does break through that cloud at times, well, we might see temperatures reach 24 or 25 degrees.
01:51So pleasant enough in any sunshine.
01:53But overall, temperatures a little bit lower perhaps than they have been of late.
01:58Now, if you want more information on the warnings in place for your area, do check out our app or our website.
02:04But that's everything from me.
02:05And I'll see you again very soon.
