00:00 Good morning. Another chilly start for some of us but there will be plenty of sunshine
00:04 for the next few hours, particularly if you're across eastern areas of the country. However,
00:09 this pesky northwesterly wind will continue to bring in showers to north-western areas,
00:13 particularly north-western Scotland, the islands and highlands. We could see a risk of further
00:18 thunderstorms and mix of hail as well. There's also a risk of showers into Northern Ireland,
00:22 parts of southern Scotland, but elsewhere it should stay largely dry through today.
00:26 The winds are a little bit lighter away from the north-west compared to yesterday so it
00:30 is going to be a slightly warmer day. Highs of around 19 degrees in the south and many
00:34 areas up to 17 or 18 degrees. So not too bad in sheltered sunshine but if you are across
00:40 the north and west it's going to be another pretty cool feeling day for early June. And
00:45 overnight tonight that rain and showers will likely turn a bit more persistent as we see
00:51 a band push in from the north-west so we could see some localised flooding issues from that
00:56 ahead of that though for many areas of the UK. It should be another dry and bright night
01:00 and potentially another fairly cool start to the day across the south and east with
01:04 temperatures rurally down into the lower single figures. As we head into Friday it's likely
01:10 to be a bit more of a widely unsettled day as this band of showery rain pushes eastwards
01:15 through the day. We'll see more in the way of cloud ahead of that band and a risk of
01:19 showers as well pushing into parts of the south-east as well. Some brightness to come
01:24 once that band does clear through and I think temperatures will slowly start to rise because
01:28 there's a little bit more cloud around. We've got less of the cold air around as well but
01:32 still a little bit below par for the time of year. However as we head towards the weekend
01:39 the risk of showers gets pushed further north and it does look like it should turn a little
01:43 bit drier, brighter and warmer across the south. Make sure you keep up to date with

01:51 Thank you.
