00:00Nick, why is Trump pushing now for the selective disclosure of the Epstein files,
00:05but still resisting full transparency from the Justice Department?
00:09Yeah, it feels as if this might just be a nod towards his base,
00:13the MAGA base, the Make America Great Again base,
00:16who seems to have been fractured in recent days over the Epstein incident.
00:21Many of them calling for the full transparency of the whole case,
00:26calling for files to be released,
00:28something that Donald Trump so far has said that he will not be planning to do.
00:33Here he seems to be giving them a little bit of information,
00:38asking for the grand jury testimony relating back to the 2019 prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein to be released.
00:45That is something that his Attorney General, Pam Bondi, must now try and secure.
00:49But that in itself will be difficult,
00:51because these grand jury testimonies are normally very secret.
00:55They remain outside of the public purview.
00:59And even if they are released, they will be limited in scope.
01:02They will simply be testimonies that came out of the grand jury
01:07ahead of a trial that didn't take place because Jeffrey Epstein died in prison.
01:11And they will not involve the prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein
01:15that took place about 15 years earlier for soliciting a minor.
01:19There's plenty of information that will remain hidden,
01:22even if these grand jury testimonies are released.
01:25There's plenty of information that will be released.
01:27There's plenty of information about the real,
01:28that's going to be used in the past.
01:29There's plenty of information about the St.
