Tropical Storm Wipha has brought heavy rain and strong winds to parts of Taiwan as it moves through the Bashi Channel south of the island.

00:00A sea warning for Tropical Storm Weepa was issued Friday morning by Taiwan's Central Weather Administration.
00:12The administration says the storm will head through the Ba Shi Channel, passing south of Taiwan.
00:17Though the storm may not make landfall, it has already affected parts of the country.
00:30Since Friday night, areas in eastern Taiwan have experienced continuous rainfall.
00:41Several makeshift roads have been closed due to rising river levels.
01:00Though the storm is tracking south of Taiwan, its effects could still be felt in the north.
01:05On Saturday, the government issued a strong wind advisory,
01:08with data showing that gusts in New Taipei could exceed 28.5 meters per second.
01:14Now with the storm moving towards China, the government says its sea warning could be lifted by Saturday evening.
