00:00It's actually exceeded all expectations. Yesterday we had a record crowd.
00:06Sheep numbers are three or four hundred up on last year.
00:10I like to describe it as pre-COVID level.
00:14And both sheds are absolutely full to brimming with 26 different breeds of sheep.
00:21There's a lot of young people here as well, Margo.
00:22Another big aspect of the show is the youth and the youth involvement.
00:25Oh, absolutely. And in fact, many of the breeds all run youth programs.
00:31The Dooney, who are in the Shogun's area, they ran yesterday a full day of youth programs.
00:38Marinos and Corridals are running them today and tomorrow.
00:42And there's junior handling and junior judging.
00:45A lot of farmers and sheep producers have done it tough this year due to the dry conditions across southern Australia.
00:51Obviously great for them to have a day out and away from the barn.
00:53Yes, and I think it sums it up really, really well.
00:58They've been hand-feeding since March.
01:01They've got no water. It's really, really tough.
01:04But they can have one, two or three days here.
