00:00Now, when I look at the situation in the world in the light of Bible prophecy, I can't help being negative.

00:07Generally, my talks and also the Light for Last Day magazine, which, by the way, is coming out this week, God willing,

00:14focus on three main categories, the state of the nation and beyond the nation in the world,

00:21the state of Israel in the Middle East, and the state of the church and religious life generally.

00:26Well, look at all those three categories. I have to ask the question, are things in good shape?

00:33Yes or no? Are they likely to get better or likely to get worse? Probably worse.

00:40So if you put all that together, it can be rather depressing looking at this subject.

00:46And we need to have hope. We need to have hope. And obviously our hope is in Jesus coming back again.

00:51We also need to know how to live in the light of these things taking place.

00:57Now, we know that the timing of the Lord, whether it's the rapture, the tribulation or his second coming to the earth,

01:03is entirely in his hands. We can't actually cause anything to change in that matter.

01:10It's up to him when he comes. He told us he will come. He told us to be ready.

01:14But the timing and the events are in the Lord's hands.

01:20I've also talked a lot about the coming of a time of great trouble.

01:23And although we would want to stop that time of trouble coming,

01:27there are many things which we actually can't stop happening.

01:30And if it's written in the Bible, it's going to happen.

01:31And I think some Christians are quite unrealistic in this matter, in my opinion.

01:37I kind of preach that you can bind the devil and he's just going to wilt away

01:41and then we can establish the kingdom of God and everything will be hunky-dory and lovely.

01:46Or that the church is going to take the power through a great revival

01:49and bring in the kingdom of God, establish Christianity,

01:53and all these other forces like radical Islam and Marxism

01:58and all the anti-Christian things are going to just wilt away

02:02because Jesus is going to rule and reign.

02:04I can't see that happening before the second coming of Jesus.

02:08It seems to me much more likely that, in fact, what the Bible says,

02:11we're heading towards the Antichrist.

02:14And after the Antichrist and the tribulation,

02:16then Jesus will come and he'll set things right.

02:20And there are certain things which we can't change.

02:22I wish we could.

02:24But basically, if it's set in motion, it's going to happen.

02:27And God says it's going to happen.
