00:00Rasheed Rice, we've been waiting to hear about what's going to happen.
00:04Remember that multi-car crash in Dallas a couple years back, March of 2024?
00:11Finally got some sentencing for Rice today.
00:1430 days in jail.
00:16Now, he has five years to serve that, Scotty.
00:19So he gets five years probation, and I guess at any time in that five years,
00:24he's got to go in for 30 days.
00:26So he doesn't have to go, you know, you've got to play football this year.
00:28Well, he's going to get suspended.
00:30But he can finish the football season this year or next year, whenever.
00:34He's just got to serve the 30 days at some point down the line.
00:36One year is do it when you're suspended, and you can't play.
00:39So you might as well just go do the time.
00:42I guess that's one way to look at it because he is going to get suspended.
00:47Now, I was seeing all the legal eagles and all the people who know the NFL bylaws
00:53and whatnot say he's going to get a minimum of six games
00:55for this infringement that he's got here.
00:59So expect to not see Rasheed Rice for at least six games, maybe more.
01:03Who knows?
01:04Expect a suspension for Jordan Addison as well.
01:06We told you earlier in the week that his trial was coming up this week.
01:10Well, he takes a plea deal for a lesser charge in his DUI case,
01:14but he will face an NFL suspension, Scotty.
01:17So Jordan Addison, bad day for wide receivers in court.
01:20Another guy drunk driving that gets away with it because he's got money
01:25and a high-priced lawyer, and by the time he was done,
01:28he wasn't even driving the car.
01:30He got a plea deal and a much lesser charge,
01:35which means he didn't get nailed for drunk driving at all.
01:39He just got a deal to get out of it.
01:42That's exactly what happened.
01:43His lawyer got him a deal like he wasn't even driving the car drunk.
01:46So, as you say, when you have enough money,
01:49you could get a good enough lawyer to get a deal like that,
01:52if you have enough money to do so.
01:54I know a guy, and you know him too,
01:56that has gotten more NFL players out of DUIs than you can shake a stick at.
02:01I mean, this guy got – I have a guy that got a guy out.
02:05He had five DUIs, and when he was done, he never was driving the car once.
02:09The cop was driving the car drunk.
02:11Yes, that's how it goes.
02:13Micah Parsons is upset that his contract still isn't done.
02:18He cited a lack of communication with Cowboy management,
02:21and the Cowboys have cost themselves money by waiting to do the extension,
02:25which, by the way, they cost themselves even more today
02:27because now he's going to want to get paid more than T.J. Watt also.
02:30So, that's even more money.
02:32He's going to want to pass Watt in the next couple weeks.
02:35And let's face facts, he's, you know, half his age,
02:39and he's faster and everything about it.
02:42Like, he's worth more money in today's market than T.J. Watt is.
02:47That's just bottom line.
02:48Like, this is a market-driven league that does – all the deals are similar.
02:54And they just – they're one step above the next.
02:56This guy's the highest paid today for about five minutes,
02:59and then he'll be passed.
03:01Every guy that gets a deal now is the highest paid at their position.
03:03And then tomorrow, they're not the highest paid.
