00:00federal official by threatening a family member and basically uh the statute reads that you

00:07threaten hang on to that that you threaten a family uh you threaten an official with killing

00:13a member of their family in in the hopes that you will prevent them from doing their official duty

00:19or in retaliation for something that they have already done that's count one and the second one

00:25is um influencing a federal official by threat that's the straight out threat i'm going to kill

00:31you as well as anonymous telecommunications harassment and obviously the federal hook there

00:38is the telecommunications uh and there is also the interstate communications with the threat to

00:45kidnap and injure serious stuff here and to have to live your life with that kind of thing we're

00:54locked and loaded we're coming for you is not a comfortable thing yes sir was there any uh

00:59investigation into whether this person may have also been responsible for the swatting uh incidents

01:07yeah what that's a good question i don't think that we have any reason to believe that based upon

01:14what we know right now but as the uh as the chief just indicated i mean we executed a search warrant

01:20when we get a return on that information you know we'll find out if there's more to comment on

01:26yes sir uh recently he was actually in possession of an ak-47 i think that one of the threats that you

01:31said said that he was yeah he's any guns today good question uh there were no uh rifles or guns that

01:38were seized today correct that's my understanding that's our understanding and we're sticking with it

01:44because that's what we know uh maryland uh what what town of maryland what is edgewater maryland

01:52edgewater i'm new to the area you're here three weeks three weeks eight so he was charged in

01:58edgewater no no he was arrested in edgewater and brought here he's going to be arraigned in a couple

03:20democrats in the room who ultimately walked out of that meeting after the debate was cut short so we

03:27do know that pierrot is a former county judge and fox news host and she was confirmed as a nominee for

03:34u.s attorney for washington dc but as we aired out here earlier here on live now from fox the meeting

03:41made for somewhat of an unusual scene as senator cory booker the democrat from new jersey appealed to

03:48senator chuck grassley the republican from iowa on personal terms after grassley and the committee chair

03:53cut off request for continued debate and did not allow all the democrats in the room to speak up so we

03:59wanted to bring you that to you here on live now from fox in the meantime though still taking a look

04:05there as the stage is set for the state department press briefing we're expecting to hear

07:30More than 17 million people are going to lose their health care as a result of the action

07:35taken by Donald Trump and Republicans, children, veterans and seniors who are hungry are going to lose

07:45their nutritional assistance as it relates to the actions taken by Donald Trump and House Republicans

07:56connected to the one big ugly law.

07:58And all of this has been done to reward billionaires with massive tax breaks and at the same time skyrocket

08:14and explode the debt by more than $3 trillion.

08:18It's unconscionable what Donald Trump and House Republicans have done to hurt the American people.

08:30The job of those of us who are in public service should be at all times to make life better

08:39for everyday Americans, to improve the quality of life for the American people, to ensure

08:46as Democrats are focused on that when you work hard and play by the rules in the United States of America,

08:54you should be able to afford to live the good life.

08:59Good paying job, good housing, good health care, good education for your children, and a good retirement.

09:10That's the American dream.

09:12And far too many people are unable to achieve it, even though they're working hard and playing by the rules.

09:22Republicans haven't made it easier to achieve the American dream.

09:27They are making it harder.

09:29They are making it harder for everyday Americans, and that's a shame.

09:41Do you expect any delay tactics tonight?

09:44You try to stall this.

09:45You set a record with a speech just a couple of weeks ago.

09:49Well, it's not clear what the challenges are right now in terms of why Republicans have been unable

09:54to bring these bills to the floor so we can actually debate them and lay out for the American people

10:05why their efforts to slash and burn funding is going to hurt public health, public safety,

10:13and the dissemination of public information to places like small towns and rural America.

10:22That's going to be the impact of the rescissions package.

10:26And so as of the moment, we're just looking forward to an active and robust debate on the House floor so we can lay out for the American people

10:37why Republicans continue to take steps to hurt them as opposed to helping them.

10:43So not anticipating a magic minute like you did a couple of weeks ago?

10:47I do expect to participate in the debate, and I expect that I will speak longer than a minute.
