00:00The big news here at Interlagos today. Lewis Hamilton, disqualified from qualifying yesterday, sent to the back of the grid.

00:07A breach of the technical regulations regarding the DRS gap in his rear wing.

00:1224 laps to come around Interlagos on this Saturday afternoon.

00:16It's lights out and away we go. Bottas does get away well.

00:19Verstappen's moving over to cover him, but I think Bottas is away and into the lead.

00:23Into turn one goes Valtteri Bottas. Ahead of Verstappen on the inside there is Carlos Sainz.

00:27Ahead of Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc. And then the McLaren under pressure from Pierre Gasly.

00:32Lando Norris going wheel to wheel with Gasly. And we see Yuki Tsunoda ahead of Antonio Giovinazzi.

00:37And already Hamilton has made up four places.

00:39But so is Carlos Sainz also on those soft tyres and Verstappen goes wide.

00:44Comes back on in front of his teammate. The soft tyres were brilliant away from the line.

00:49And Verstappen getting a hefty hit over the kerb as he came back onto the track.

00:53So Bottas leads then from Sainz and then Verstappen and then Perez.

00:56Then comes Leclerc, Norris, Gasly, Esteban Ocon.

00:59And then Sebastian Vettel ahead of Daniel Ricciardo who's dropped back a few places.

01:04As we can see what happened down at turn one, locking up Kimi Räikkönen.

01:09On the inside was his teammate. They probably made contact.

01:12The Alfa Romeos sent Kimi facing the wrong way.

01:15That was Antonio.

01:18With DRS here comes Max Verstappen looking to make a move on car number 55, Carlos Sainz.

01:25And that is a move that he makes with great aplomb into turn one.

01:28Max Verstappen up into second place now, chasing after Valtteri Bottas.

01:33Here goes Hamilton on Tsunoda. This is a battle for 13th place.

01:37Hamilton's made it, goes right the way around the outside.

01:41I'm watching Hamilton on the main straight with DRS.

01:44I think into turn one Lewis Hamilton has got past Fernando Alonso.

01:48That, Martin, is a crucial move for him.

01:54There goes Lando Norris, birthday boy, putting on the show with Charles Leclerc going into turn one.

01:59Leclerc defends mightily against Lando Norris through the center S's.

02:04That's sliding all over the place, that Ferrari.

02:06That'll give Norris hope then that he can get him going into turn four.

02:09Leclerc moves over to the left.

02:11Lando Norris stays exactly where he is.

02:13Leclerc tries to cut him off.

02:14Lando Norris has already moved past.

02:16And that's a super battle going on there.

02:18Lando Norris up to fifth.

02:21Look how he's almost pushing the McLaren across the line as they do cross the line.

02:26They're wheel to wheel at the moment.

02:27Hamilton's ahead by a car length.

02:29Hamilton on lap 13 finally gets ahead of Daniel Ricciardo.

02:33Now he's into the top ten.

02:36Hamilton is gaining, as you can see, on Pierre Gasly.

02:39Gets a lovely slipstream. Gets DRS as well.

02:42Powers past the Alfa Tauri of Pierre Gasly.

02:45And now he is up into seventh place.

02:48We're on lap 17 of this race.

02:51The Ferrari no match for Hamilton.

02:54A little unsteady into the braking zone into turn four.

02:57But that is a very good sight for fans of Lewis Hamilton.

03:03There goes the rear wing open of Lewis Hamilton.

03:06He's a long way back. It'll be a big lunge from there.

03:09And he's going to try and make that lunge.

03:11And he does make that lunge down the inside.

03:13Lewis Hamilton, that is the best move of the lot.

03:16Hamilton on Lando Norris.

03:18The crowd absolutely love that.

03:20You can hear the cheers ringing out of your TV sets.

03:23They appreciate good racing at Interlagos.

03:26They got it right there.

03:28Bottas is going to pick up pole position for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

03:32He wins the Saturday sprint.

03:34Mercedes pick up three points,

03:36Verstappen the championship leader extends his championship lead

03:39by picking up two points for second place,

03:42as Sainz finishes third, Perez fourth,

03:45and that is a mega sprint drive from Lewis Hamilton to come home in fifth place.
