00:00Afternoon baseball and remember it's a seven-inning affair as he makes his

00:06seventh start of the year. Left-handed hitting Mike Tauchman. Hit to the left

00:12side and through and it's gonna find the alley. Enough for Tauchman with his

00:17speed to get in there safely just ahead of the tag try by McMahon with the

00:24double. Here's Belt. And it goes off the glove of CJ Krohn into short right

00:29field and Tauchman will score. And the Giants lead one to nothing. The hustle

00:34by Tauchman really set that play up for Brandon Belt to not only get him over but

00:40bring him in. The Moltenhot Buster Posey will find a hole with a base hit to

00:46left field. Three batters three hits off Erman Marquez here in the top of the

00:52first. That'll bring up the guy that really has some ownage and that's Alex

00:56Dickerson. And Dickerson will loop a ball into center field for a base hit. Belt will

01:06score four straight singles or three singles and a double. Two nothing Giants.

01:13Dickerson taking it right back through the box again. The breaking pitch.

01:18Walk to Crawford. And all that does is load the bases for Wilmer Flores. Zone your pitch.

01:23Ground ball up the middle and a base hit. One run is going to score. Dickerson's going to

01:29score. And another base hit and it's four nothing. Great patience by Flores. Zoning the pitcher

01:37in. You're looking fastball. You're looking something you can handle. Once again just like

01:41Alex Dickerson. He doesn't try to do too much. At first and third. Steven Duggar. And he lines this

01:49one into right center field. A base hit. Fossler can run a little bit. Picking it up is Hampson.

01:54The throw is going to go into second. A run comes in. It's five nothing as Duggar comes through.

02:00Chassin is coming into his sixth game. And he's facing Belt. Fossler at third. Duggar at second.

02:07And Tuchman at first. It is. And it's high. And deep. Out of here. Belt with a grand slam. And it's

02:18nine nothing Giants. Where like you said he had to throw a strike. Three and two bases loaded.

02:25You can't stand to walk guys. You've got to challenge the hitter. Brandon Belt knew that.

02:29And you see him not miss. Posey goes the other way. This is hit well. And out of here. Buster Posey with

02:41his seventh home run of the season. It's supposed to be a slider down and out of the zone. Again we're

02:47seeing breaking balls hang up. And the Giants hitters not miss it. The mound will be Aaron Sanchez.

02:52T.J. Krohn. The one two to Krohn. Got him. Almost lulled him to sleep. Here's Blackman. Hit up the middle.

03:00Crawford's got it. And that'll end the inning. So he gets a shut down inning.

03:05Flores. One two pitch is jammed towards third. They go to second for one. On to first for a double play.

03:14Josh Fuentes felt he could get the runner at second. And Ryan McMahon's strong throw completes the double play.

03:44Nothing lead. That's nasty. And so is Belt in Coors Field as he lines the first pitch in the center field for a base hit.

03:52He's three for three. Crawford has got major ownage on Chassin.

03:58Crawford with a base hit. Ownage is ownage. Belt will go to second.

04:02Bottom of the fourth. Garrett Hampson steps in from the right side.

04:06And he grounds a sharp one into left field for a base hit.

04:10Whacked at that one. And on one pitch, it's a leadoff single.

04:15Payoff pitch. That one's raked to the right side. That'll get through into right field for a base hit.

04:20Hampson going to stop at second after taking the turn.

04:24So Dom Nunez makes it two straight hits for the Rockies to start things off in the fourth.

04:30Back-to-back singles here in the fourth. Josh Fuentes comes up.

04:37Sanchez with the pitch to Fuentes. And that's hit over Crawford into left center field.

04:42Hampson had to hold for a moment to make sure that Crawford didn't catch that ball.

04:46So he'll only get to third.

04:48But three straight singles to start this fourth inning for the Rockies have loaded the bases with one out.

04:57And this ball is well struck deep right field. Tapia has hit a granny.

05:05The Rockies are within six.

05:08And he is showing there can be power, too.

05:12He's just not an opposite field hitter.

05:18And he'll be facing Charlie Blackman.

05:25And he throws him out at first.

05:28Who had Blackman played perfectly.

05:30Here's Garrett Hampson who's got a couple of hits.

05:35And Duggar is going to come in and make the lunging catch.

05:39Two down.

05:41He can play a little more shallow.

05:43He's got good speed and he took a potential third hit away from Garrett Hampson.

05:48In the sixth inning, Jets would take a little extra offense here.

05:51Here's Crawford.

05:53And he hits a high drive to right.

05:57It is out of here.

06:00So Brandon Crawford picks up his fifth home run.

06:05And it's 12-4.

06:07Goes out away from him.

06:09Not the spot where Gilbreth wanted.

06:12You see Nunez reach back over the plate.

06:14But Brandon Crawford short to that ball.

06:17Keeps his hands inside of it.

06:20And carries it out of the ballpark.

06:23And one out in the bottom of the sixth.

06:26Popped him up.

06:27Wilmer Flores says, I got this.

06:31And he does.

06:32Two down and Ryan McMahon will come up.

06:35Hit well into right center field.

06:37But not well enough for Duggar.

06:38Three outs to go for the Giants to get a game one win in this doubleheader.

06:45He got Krohn to chase.

06:46CJ Krohn has struck out three straight times.

06:49Up comes Charlie Blackman.

06:52Blackman's going to break his bat on this pop-up.

06:54And it's going to be Longoria.

06:55Two outs.

06:56Hampson is two for three.

07:02It's Mike Tauchman.

07:05And that's the ball game.

07:06So game one in this series goes to the Giants.

07:10And it's always very helpful if you can score ten runs in the first inning.
