00:00Thag Nita striking again, Maharashtra Narva Nirmansena goons beat up a Madhwadi trader.
00:08A young man named Prem Singh Devda, who works at one lucky medical shop in Tagore Nagar Vikhroli market,
00:15had posted his status with objectionable words about Marathi and Maharashtra.
00:21With MNS leader Vishwajit Dholam, when officials got angry, they called the shopkeeper outside the shop, forced him to apologize.
00:28He was taken from the shop to the police station, where he was asked to apologize.
00:33Anger is being expressed in the Vikhroli area over this incident.
00:40Dipesh Tripathi has got more details on that.
00:43Dipesh, what did the shopkeeper post and what is now being done against these MNS workers who are coercing him to apologize?
00:52What more can you tell us?
00:53This video from Mumbai is getting viral now, where once again Maharashtra Narva Nirmansena party workers was in action,
01:04and they started beating a Marwadi worker.
01:06The video of beating that Marwadi man was not posted on social media,
01:12but he was apologizing to MNS workers, and they were using abusive words against him.
01:20They took that man to the police station, but as of now, the police has not registered any case against,
01:29because that person had not filed any complaint against the MNS party workers.
01:35And he has posted on social media, kept his WhatsApp status, and used some harsh language against Marathi and Marathi manus.
01:44So, that is why MNS workers got aggressive, and they chose again the path which they chose in the past as well.
01:56Dipesh also talked to us about whether there is any action taken against these MNS workers as well.
02:01Since you have told us about the fact, A, that they were abusing the man that we see on our screens right now,
02:07of course you can't put that out, and also the fact that he was beaten up.
02:14Dipesh.
02:18This incident is, in fact, comes days after.
02:21There were several such incidents reported from the state of Maharashtra.
02:24In this case here, the person on your screens who was abused by these MNS workers is a Marwadi trader.
02:33He reportedly had posted some objectionable words.
02:38He works at Lucky Medical Shop, which is located in Tagore Nagar Vikroli Market.
02:45It posted a status with objectionable words about Marathi and about Maharashtra.
02:50MNS leader Vishwaji Dholam and officials got angry.
02:53They called the shopkeeper outside the shop, forced him to apologize.
02:58He was taken from the shop to the police station where he was asked to say sorry.
03:03Anger is now being expressed in the Vikroli area over this incident.
03:06Dipesh is back with us.
03:08Dipesh talked to us about any possible action that is being taken against the MNS workers here.
03:13Yes, we spoke to the police as well.
03:21But they said that the man who was got bitten by the MNS workers, he has not lost any complaint against the MNS workers.
03:32And he apologized for his actions.
03:33But we asked, but we have to see that what action police will take in future because as of now police have not taken any action.
03:42All right, I'm going to go straight across now.
03:44Dipesh to Shaina NC who is now joining us.
03:47Shaina NC, what's your take on what is the MNS now doing?
03:52Beating up a Marwadi trader here.
03:54You know, this is nothing but political opportunism.
03:59Okay.
03:59There is no question of sincerity.
04:02Look at the timing and the motive.
04:05You know, this focus on Marathi pride has suddenly come up.
04:09I want to ask what they were doing for so many years.
04:13Okay.
04:13At one level, our leader, Eknat Shinde and the Shif Sena have always encouraged Marathi Asmita, Marathi language and Marathi culture.
04:23But encouraging and beating up people is two different things.
04:27Okay.
04:27You have the Uwata Sena on one side that has lost the ideology of Hindu Riddhar Samrat Balasai Chakrit the day they chose to side with the Congress NPP.
04:36You have the MNS that has been irrelevant for so many years in state politics.
04:42Okay.
04:43And suddenly this aggressive push for Marathi identity before elections shows you it is a calculated move.
04:51And when I say calculated, it is a calculated move to regain their lost cultural grounds.
04:58And there is no genuine cultural awakening.
05:02Where is the sincerity of intention?
05:04I want to ask that when Adanya Balasai Chakrit's original ideology of Hindutva is compromised on, when there are questions of authenticity, where leaders, you know, are only trying to reclaim their relevance and using Marathi.
05:24Okay.
05:24I want to say that Marathi pride is something which will never be compromised on because that is our genuine belief.
05:32But the kind of political opportunism that one sees, do understand the Mahayuti is so sensitive to the cause of Marathi.
05:42That's why the GR, the government's resolutions have been held back.
05:46Shana N.C., should there be strictest action possible on the part of your government against these people?
05:54Dr. Narendra Jadav's committee is requesting all stakeholders to be a part of the language formula.
06:08This is proactiveness, not just picking up people, hitting them, making them walk barefoot, taking videos and circulating it for your own political resurrection.
06:18Do understand, when you have leaders who have talked about Marathi, this goes back to the Sayyukd Maharashtra movement, which Eknat Shindeji and the Shiv Sena have always, always said.
06:33Marathi is a non-negotiable, but not at the cost of taking law into your hands and beating up people stupidly.
06:40Shana N.C., I'm going to leave it at that for the moment.
06:43So you heard there from Shiv Sena leader, Shana N.C., who says that a government should be taking the strictest possible action against these M&S workers who are once again bullying these people.
06:58The latest incident is what on your screens at this point in time.
07:01M&S workers bullied a man into apologizing.
07:05They beat him up as well and used abusive language against him.
