00:29paid for it it was reported on Monday that the health ministry had issued a

00:34stern warning to hospital mortuary staff not to accept any form of payment gift or

00:39donation in exchange for handling the remains of dead people or providing

00:43information about the deceased in a circular sent to all hospitals the

00:48ministry made it clear that accepting money or cooperating with funeral service

00:52agents could be seen as corruption Johan who served over 20 years in the

00:57ministry said the gang mainly targets non-muslim bodies and continues

01:01operating with funeral operators even getting into violent altercations as

01:05part of territorial disputes and next of kin of a deceased non-muslim also

01:11recounted a 2017 case at the chiras hospital where a staff member demanded

01:16200 ringgit during body identification calling it inappropriate and against SOPs
