00:00Keith's keys for the Open Championship leading into your top guy on your outright board,
00:07who's also the top guy on my outright board.
00:10All right, real quick.
00:11Three things, Keith's keys, here we go.
00:14Number one, approach, approach, approach.
00:16You have got to hit these putting surfaces.
00:18Shane Lowry led the field in greens and regulation.
00:21Back in 2019, he won by six.
00:23The second thing is, is that between the wind, the rain, and everything else,
00:26major championship pressure, you're going to miss some of these putting surfaces.
00:30They're very, very small.
00:31Think like Pebble Beach small, right?
00:33So when you do, you're going to need some around the green acumen.
00:36Some will be with your putter.
00:37Some will be with a wedge.
00:38Some will be with your imagination.
00:40You've got to be able to score around these greens and scramble.
00:43And the third thing is, off the tee, you got to put it in play.
00:46And if you want to start with both of our favorites, we're going to go right to Jon Rahm.
00:50And this is like one of the number one reasons why I love Jon Rahm this week.
00:53This year with the driver, Mike, off the tee, strokes gained.
00:58He's been positive in every single start.
01:02Gained strokes on the field with his driver in every start.
01:06So whether the live stats are fake or not, at least we're all going in the right direction here, right?
01:10You come to the Open Championship, he's got three top seven finishes in his last four starts.
01:16The majors this year, 14, 8, and 7.
01:19I mean, back in 2019 at Portrush, T11.
01:24I mean, what more can we say about Jon Rahm?
01:26You're going to need to be a big, strong guy to take on this golf course this week.
01:29You mentioned the fescue.
01:30You mentioned the wind.
01:32We're up there on the Irish coastline.
01:34Jon Rahm, for me, fits the mold.
01:36And he really looks like he's in great form.
01:40He really looks like he's playing well, Mike.
01:41And I kind of factor this in, too.
01:45He's saying the right things to me.
01:47And listening to him, not just this week, which, like, listen, I like when a guy's like,
01:51this is, I feel, the most important major or the most prestigious major.
01:56This guy is from Europe.
01:58He understands the prestige of the Open Championship.
02:01He wants to add this major to his portfolio and get himself another step closer.
02:07He's kind of had a chip on his shoulder with the live stuff.
02:10I think this is a great spot for him.
02:12You talked about this on the show.
02:13He was the only guy in that bad wave last year who was able to fight himself through
02:17and get to the end in the top 20.
02:19I think Jon Rahm is going to have himself a huge week.
