New nutrition club launched in Southsea aiming to change the way people think about fitness by former marine and personal trainer, Kevin Green

00:00So, my name's Kevin Green and I am one of the coaches at By the Beach Nutrition.
00:08Just a little bit of background about myself.
00:11As a kid, a 12-year-old child, I got into boxing, became a champion in boxing, Scottish champion boxer.
00:22But at the age of 20 years old, as Scottish champion, I decided to join the Royal Marines,
00:27which basically brought me down south of the border.
00:32For the past 25 years, I've been involved in sport as a coach.
00:37And over the past 13 years, mainly a nutrition and wellness coach.
00:43So, over the past two months, we have been preparing to launch the first nutrition club in Southsea.
00:52And this will be the first of many.
00:57Yeah, I've always really had a passion for helping people, educating people on simplicity to help people improve.
01:06Not just how they look, really more about how they feel in terms of their energy and confidence.
01:15So, our goal, really, in Portsmouth is to help 10,000 people.
01:20So, this is the first club, and we have been open now for about eight days.
01:28So, and what we teach is all about simplicity.
01:31Really, what we focus on is people's, we want them in the right environment.
01:36And I can only use myself as an example.
01:39I'm 47, and I can see your face.
01:42I know what you're thinking.
01:43What's that?
01:44You think I look about 22.
01:46Yeah.
01:46Yeah, I'm happy with that.
01:48I would have said that it's just...
01:50No, so, honestly, I feel great.
01:5247, and I do feel better now than what I did feel when I was maybe 27.
01:58Even as a Royal Marine and as a physical trainer, you know what to do.
02:04And by the way, I think most people know what to do.
02:07And that's where the club environment really does shift the needle and really helps people
02:14get life-changing results.
02:15Because when you're in a community and you're actually looking at a daily food diary, you're
02:22looking at what your protein target is and what your hydration target is, these are the
02:28things that most people are not focused on.
02:31Most people aren't focused on hydration.
02:34They're not focused on protein target.
02:35And going back to even when I was an international athlete, boxing at the highest level, I wasn't
02:43looking at a protein target.
02:46And if anything, I was actually dehydrated 90% of the time.
02:51Yeah, so me and my wife, we've had a really successful online company that's been going for
03:00the past 13 years.
03:01And it's been incredible.
03:02We have helped a lot of people nationwide and internationally.
03:08So a lot of that was done via social media.
03:11And a lot of it was done through Zoom calls, Facebook groups.
03:15That was the way we educated people.
03:18Our goal, within one week, we've got 54 members.
03:22Our goal is to have 100 members in this club by the beach.
03:28Okay.
03:28We will then be expanding.
03:31And our goal is to have probably about 30 clubs in Southsea.
03:36But the real big mission is to help 10,000 people.
03:39Well, we will start to expand outside the post-muff.
03:45We will expand throughout Hampshire.
03:48And we're already looking at clubs in Middlesbrough and Edinburgh.
03:53And we've also had inquiries from America.
03:56The fitness industry has failed.
04:00It's failed.
04:01Because so many people, they go to the gym.
04:04They're working their socks off.
04:06And they don't change body shape.
04:10You know, and we've got a couple of friends who are like that.
04:16You know, they train four or five times a week.
04:18But they don't get the real results that they're looking for in terms of shape change, body composition, and overall how they feel.
04:29Personal goals.
04:30So, short term, very simple.
04:33We want 100 members in this club.
04:36There's a short term goal.
04:38It's very, very simple.
04:39And we will do this within the next, I'm going to say, month.
04:44So, we will have a, so we are impacting 100 members within two or three weeks.
04:51There's a short term goal.
04:53The long term goal is without a doubt, we would love to be, we would love 30 nutrition clubs in South Sea and Portsmouth.
05:01That would be impacting 3,000 people.
05:05That would be incredible.
05:08So, giving back to the community in a rather unique way.
05:11There's nothing like it.
05:13We're not a gym.
05:15We're focused on lifestyle, nutrition, and the results already within one week, they're just off the scale.
