Hi, I'm Digital Reporter Amy Seddon and welcome to another edition of 5 Things to Do Next
00:06
Week across central Lancashire and the Fattled Coast.
00:10
First up in Preston, the family music festival Preston Live 2025 is on Saturday, July 26.
00:18
Originally due to be a three-day event running from a Friday to Sunday, last month organisers
00:23
revealed that they had to cut two of the days due to poor ticket sales.
00:26
Nevertheless, Saturday's event is 100% going ahead as planned and promises to be an incredible
00:33
day of live music, food and entertainment, say organisers.
00:38
The Saturday line-up features Aston Merigold, The Claws, Top Loader, Tinchy Strider, The
00:44
Cases, Ella Henderson, Blazin Squad, Jamie Gray and Tom Zanetti.
00:49
Adult tickets for Saturday currently cost £48.60, concessions £32.40 and child tickets
00:57
£16.20.
01:00
In Chorley, it's the Chorley Flower Show 2025 between Friday, July 25th and Sunday, July 27th.
01:08
Returning for its 10th anniversary, the event is set to captivate families, flower enthusiasts
01:13
and gardening fanatics.
01:16
The Chorley Flower Show has plenty to enjoy, including floor displays from award-winning
01:21
exhibitors, spectacular show gardens and entertainment for all the family, including a children's
01:27
zone with fairground rides and a vintage carousel, live music, a vintage classic car display, vintage
01:33
dancing and a dog zone.
01:36
There will also be expert gardening demonstrations, a variety of amateur competitions, community
01:41
gardens to explore, food and drink and a variety of trade stands.
01:47
Your Chorley Flower Show ticket even includes entry into the historic Astley Hall.
01:52
Special guests include GLS star JB Gale on the Sunday and BBC Radio Lancashire's Sharon
01:57
Hartley on the Friday.
02:00
Early bird tickets for those aged over 16 are £15 for the day or £25 for three days.
02:06
From July 21st and on the day at the gate, day tickets are £20 and three day tickets
02:13
are £30.
02:15
Over on the Farad Coast, Chicago is on at the Blackpool Winter Gardens Opera House between
02:20
Monday, July 22nd and Saturday, July 26th.
02:23
The sexiest musical ever, as described by Metro, comes to Blackpool for one week only, starring
02:30
Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer and TV star Jeanette Munrara as Roxy Hart and
02:35
West End and TV star Darren Day as Billy Flynn.
02:39
There are shows at 7.30pm across the six states, including a matinee on the Saturday.
02:45
Tickets start from £26.70.
02:47
Also in Blackpool, the Blackpool Makers Market returns on Sunday, July 27th.
02:55
The monthly event puts the spotlight on the finest artists and makers from Farad Coast.
03:00
Expect stores selling art, posters, crafts, clothing, including vintage items, health and
03:06
beauty and jewellery.
03:08
Taking place at 16 to 20 Abington Street, Blackpool Makers Market is open between 10am and 5pm.
03:15
It is, of course, free to walk around, but do be prepared to part ways with your cash when
03:20
you see the delights on offer.
03:23
Finally, a WIRE family festival called Wonderland returns to Cotton Paw Playing Fields in Poulton
03:28
on Saturday, July 26th.
03:31
Attendees can enjoy live performances from CBB stars Bluey and Bingo, dance along to their
03:37
favourite songs with the Boogie Monsters Band, meet their favourite superheroes, watch out for
03:42
Zeus the Roaming T-Rex, experience an animal roadshow and run and bounce for a 74 inflatable
03:48
assault course.
03:50
There will also be free face painting, selfie stations, food, drinks and a bar for adults
03:56
too.
03:57
Gates open at 10.45am with the festival running between 11am and 5pm.
04:03
Tickets are on final release, costing £12.50 each.
04:06
So there are our 5 top things to do next week, but whatever you're up to, have a good one.
