Russia launches fresh wave of overnight attacks targeting several Ukrainian cities

The Russian attacks come against a deadline set by US President Trump for Russia to end its war and enter into a peace agreement with Ukraine within 50 days or be slapped with severe tariffs and sanctions.

00:00Russian forces launched a fresh wave of attacks targeting several Ukrainian cities overnight into Wednesday.
00:07Ukraine's air forces say the Kremlin fired approximately 400 Iranian-made Shahid and decoy drones as well as one ballistic missile.
00:15The attacks targeted Kharkiv, Odessa, Zaporizhia, Vinitsia, Kramatorsk, and President Zelensky's hometown of Kriviri.
00:23An attack on two residential sites in the Vinitsia region injured at least eight people, five of them sustaining severe burns with two in critical condition.
00:32Local officials say one victim underwent emergency surgery after suffering 50 percent body burns in the strike.
00:39Nine private homes in the village of Pizarivka were badly damaged, with residents reporting roofs being destroyed, windows blown out, and partially collapsed walls.
00:48At least 30 apartments were reported damaged after a barrage of drones struck a district in the southern Zaporizhia region.
00:55The overnight attacks did not cause any casualties, but local officials say some civilians sustained minor injuries during evacuations.
01:04Earlier on Tuesday, Zaporizhia was the target of more than 400 Russian strikes across 14 settlements, targeting everything from residential to energy sites.
01:12Kramatorsk also came under attack in the early hours of Wednesday, with locals reporting a series of explosions around 1 a.m. local time.
01:22One of the drones struck a multi-story residential building, causing a fire which damaged multiple units.
