00:00I'm Maria Hazelwood from St James Primary School.
00:02And you're the head teacher?
00:03I am, yes.
00:04This is a special day for you, is it?
00:06It is a really special day for our school.
00:09It's the end of an era.
00:11Those children were the first people to walk into St James
00:16and they are now the first children to be leaving our lovely school.
00:22And I think it's really special because that school was built
00:26before there were any houses on the estate up in Oakhampton.
00:29So it's a real special time for our community
00:33because the school's a completely different landscape
00:35to what it was when it first opened.
00:38It's really special.
00:40And you remember Mrs Stephens in this service?
00:42Yeah, so Mrs Stephens was...
00:45It was her vision that we're all enacting at St James.
00:48She was such an instrumental part into the setting up of the school.
00:53and, yeah, her memory lives on through these year sixes
00:59and she had such a huge impact on the community.
01:03I joined after she passed away
01:07and I feel like, yeah, I know her so well
01:10because I'm helping her to live out her vision.
01:15That's cool.
01:16Nice.
01:16a lot of fun, though.
