02:37He worked around the clock to make this victory happen.
02:39Only two Republicans voting against the bill.

03:28It's going to be really great.
03:29After a hard-fought battle, the bill at the heart of Trump's agenda eking through the House
03:34to cheers of USA.
03:36On this vote, the yeas are 218, the nays are 214.

03:42Trump watching closely from the White House, but it did not come easy.
03:55The president and the speaker twisting arms and cajoling members of their own party into
03:59the early morning hours.
04:01Both hard-line conservative Republicans and moderates angry that the bill could add $3.4
04:06trillion to the debt over the next decade.
04:10And concerned cuts to Medicaid could force an estimated 11.8 million people to lose their
04:16insurance.
04:17Numbers the White House disputes.
04:19It wasn't beautiful enough for me to vote for it.
04:21Thomas Massey of Kentucky and Brian Fitzpatrick from a Pennsylvania district carried by Kamala
04:26Harris, the only two Republicans to vote no.
04:30The president personally working the phones and lobbying the other holdouts, even handing
04:34out Trump's swag and signing autographs for some of them.
04:37Yeah, he signed a bunch of stuff.
04:39It's cool.
04:40To get them on board, the president making assurances and threats, promising to primary
04:45anyone who stood in his way.
04:47RJ O'Brien asking what swayed them.
04:49We got a package that I think would have turned out better than what we would have gotten had
04:54we sent this bill back.
04:54But is that caving?
04:55If winning is caving?
04:58Well, if winning is caving, then I guess we caved.
05:00The bill includes roughly $4 trillion in tax cuts, mostly for wealthy Americans, and new
05:06spending on immigration enforcement.
05:08It also fulfills Trump's campaign promise to eliminate taxes on tips and overtime.
05:13And it guts Biden-era clean energy initiatives.
05:17And to pay for it all, the bill making those cuts to Medicaid and reducing food assistance
05:21for poor Americans.
05:23Democrats united against it.
05:25And I'm planning to take my sweet time.
05:29Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries railing against the bill on the House floor for a record-breaking
05:34eight hours and 44 minutes.
05:36Shame on this institution if this bill passes.

06:03That event will be attended by members of Congress and party leadership and will include a flyover by a B-2 bomber,

06:13Mary Bruce at the White House.
06:15Mary Bruce at the White House for us.
06:16Now to those severe storms moving across the Northeast at this hour with millions traveling for the long July 4th weekend.
06:23Heavy rain, damaging winds, large hail and lightning from New York to Boston.
06:27Millions of passengers flying out today.
06:30Storms threatening to delay or cancel flights at major airports.
06:33More than 72 million people expected to drive or fly over the holiday.
06:38Here's ABC's Morgan Norwood.
06:41Tonight, severe storms threatening to derail holiday travel for the millions, making that last dash for the 4th of July.
06:49Tornado sirens sounding near Ithaca, New York.
06:52Ground stops issued for time at several Northeast airports.
06:56Damaging wind gusts, the biggest area of concern.
06:58Frequent lightning, always an area of concern.
07:00The FAA says today is going to be their busiest, with more than 51,000 flights set to take off.
07:06Our Stephanie Ramos caught up with Julianne and Amanda getting an early start at Newark Airport on their way to Key West.
07:13We were a little nervous about that delay in United flights at Newark because of the air traffic controllers,
07:18but it seems like everything's fixed itself.
07:20Roads around New York City today turned to parking lots,
07:23thanks to gas prices now 37 cents a gallon lower than last year, according to GasBuddy.
07:28Give yourself about an hour or two ahead of time because there's traffic out there, and it's coming.
07:33And Witt, now that the rush to get away is over, the real gridlock begins.
07:36Sunday and Monday will be the worst for drivers.
07:39Meanwhile, TSA is anticipating its busiest day on Sunday as well,
07:42with nearly 3 million passengers hustling through screening checkpoints.
07:46Witt?
07:47All right, we'll brace for that.
07:48Morgan, thank you.
07:49Let's get right to meteorologist Jeff Smith from our New York station WABC.
07:52And Jeff, those storms, they're firing up right now.
07:55Yeah, and the storms moving into the I-95 corridor at a very inopportune time during the Thursday evening rush,
08:02the holiday rush, no matter.
08:04And we're talking about storms that are capable of 80-mile-per-hour winds in some cases,
08:07large hail, central New Jersey up to the New York City area, up into parts of Connecticut and Rhode Island as well.
08:13That watch goes until 10 p.m.
08:14Luckily, this will all be clearing out in time for the 4th of July holiday for the northeast.
08:18Where things will not be clearing out is along the southeast coast, and in Florida in particular.
08:23National Hurricane Center flagging a 60% chance for tropical development off of the Florida coast during the next several days.
08:29Even if nothing tropical develops, there's still going to be rounds of showers and thunderstorms.
08:32Elsewhere across the country, east coast and west coast.
08:35East coast other than Florida and west coast looking nice.
08:37A lot of sunshine.
08:38The heat is on in the Midwest.
08:40Minneapolis to Chicago, 92 and 93 respectively.
08:42Maybe some thunderstorms from Montana all the way down to Texas and Witt.
08:45And again, here in the northeast, those storms clearing out should be ideal viewing conditions for the fireworks tomorrow night in the city.
08:51We like to hear that.
08:52Jeff Smith, thank you.

09:27Showing the moment a fireworks warehouse exploded Tuesday, rocking a rural town outside Sacramento.
09:35Seven people remain unaccounted for.
09:37Sienna Ruiz says her boyfriend, Jesus, along with his two brothers, were all working inside at the time.
09:44One of those brothers, Junior Melendez, a father of a young child seen here.
09:48Ruiz says it was her boyfriend's first day on the job.
09:51I'm just praying to God some way, somehow, that, you know, they're okay.
09:56The two are also expecting their first child.
10:00Investigators are using unmanned aircrafts to survey the rubble from a distance.
10:04We cannot move forward and risk any more injury to anyone else on this scene.
10:11And there's been several other fireworks incidents ahead of July 4th.

10:23And authorities say fireworks caused this fiery house explosion in Albuquerque, leaving two people with burns.
10:29And, Witt, we have received a statement from the company in that fireworks warehouse explosion.

11:45Pierre Thomas, thank you.
11:46Now to the first juror speaking out following that split verdict in the Sean Diddy Combs trial.

11:58One juror revealing what was behind their decision, saying it had nothing to do with Combs.
12:03Combs and his celebrity status.
12:05Here's ABC's chief investigative correspondent, Aaron Kaczorski.
12:09Tonight, for the first time since rendering a split verdict in the trial of Sean Combs,
12:13one of the jurors is speaking out, telling ABC News Combs' celebrity had no influence on the outcome.
12:20Our decision was based solely on the evidence presented and how the law is stated, said the juror, who asked not to be identified.
12:27We would have treated any defendant in the same manner, regardless of who they are.
12:31The jury convicted Combs of two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution.
12:36They carry a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison, though he will likely get less.
12:41The jury found him not guilty of the most serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
12:46One thing stands between all of us and a prison, and that is a jury of 12 citizens.
12:55And we had a wonderful jury.
12:58They listened to every word, and they got the situation right, or certainly right enough.
13:04Combs remains here at this Brooklyn jail after a judge denied his request for bail, citing a propensity for violence and saying Combs poses a danger to the community.
13:14Combs' lawyers will try to convince the judge at a hearing next week, Witt, to move up his sentencing from its tentatively scheduled date in October.
13:21They're hoping to get him out from behind bars as quickly as possible.

15:00No, I didn't make any progress with him today at all.
15:02More than three years after Russia's invasion, Trump's repeated attempts to broker a ceasefire have so far failed to bring the conflict to an end.
15:10At such a critical moment in the war, Russia welcoming news, the U.S. has halted shipments of some vital weapons to Ukraine.
15:19U.S. officials calling that decision part of a broader review of munition shipments to all U.S. allies.
