Presiden Amerika Serikat (AS), Donald Trump mengumumkan terkait kesepakatan tarif ekspor dagang dari Indonesia ke AS yakni sebesar 19 persen, sementara impor produk dari AS adalah nol persen atau tidak dikenai tarif sama sekali.
Sebelumnya, Trump telah mengirimkan surat tarif ke sejumlah negara mitra dagang selama sepekan terakhir, yang dinilai menambah tekanan menjelang tenggat 1 Agustus 2025 saat bea masuk lebih tinggi mulai berlaku.
Dilansir dari The Guardian, selain mendapatkan tarif nol bagi AS saat ekspor ke Indonesia, AS juga diketahui mendapatkan tiga keuntungan lain dari RI dalam kesepakatan tersebut.
Pertama, AS dapat menjual energi senilai 15 miliar dolar AS atau setara Rp244,074 triliun ke RI.
Kemudian yang kedua, AS juga bisa menjual produk pertanian bernilai 4,5 miliar dolar AS atau Rp73 triliun ke Indonesia. Ketiga AS juga diketahui dapat menjual 50 pesawat buatan Boeing.
