Oregon Ducks Defensive Lineman A'Mauri Washington Discusses The Offensive Line Takeaways
Transcript
00:00Can you just give us some insight into the offensive line and a lot of new faces there.
00:08You go up against them every single day.
00:10Just what's been the takeaways against that group of the lot of new faces?
00:15I feel like we're going to have a really good group.
00:17You know what I'm saying?
00:18Like, I feel like we always have a good old line that come through.
00:20I feel like it might be a little bit different than last year.
00:23I feel like we got some power coming in, a lot of power stoppers and all that.
00:27I feel like we're going to have a good season with these dudes, though.
00:31On the left, Eric, a lot of younger guys in your room and a lot of beef, a lot of big guys.
00:36What have you seen from some of those younger players that are, I guess, only a year or so?
00:39Wait, wait, what side of the room?
00:41Offensive line.
00:42Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:43We got Matt coming in as a freshman, still understanding the playbook.
00:48But I think he's going to be real good once he gets a chance to understand everything.
00:51It's going to grow off him.
00:54Talking to Derek and Jamari about who the returning guys would be with that next guy.
01:01They both said you.
01:03What is it that you think they saw in you?
01:06What is it that you put forward last year?
01:08Not just from what we obviously all saw on tape and in games, but the things that we didn't see
01:12and things in the meeting room and things in practice that kind of stood out.
01:16I feel like just being around me and just seeing the way, like, how practices can go,
01:21like the way I attack the line of scrimmage or whatever, and they just seen it.
01:24I mean, they was older, but they saw the potential of where it can lead to.
01:28And just for people seeing that, I always know that you got to come in ready to work and add more to it.
