In an Oval Office meeting with NATO Sec.-Gen. Mark Rutte, President Trump threatened 100% tariffs on Russia if a peace deal is not achieved in the Russia-Ukraine War within 50 days.

00:43It's a honor, great honor, to have a friend of mine who's become very friendly over the last number of years.

00:49We knew each other before, but Mark is the head of NATO, Mark Ruta, Secretary General of NATO.

00:56I'm highly respected by everybody that knows him, but in particular, the European countries.

01:02They have great reliance on him, and he's done a fantastic job.

01:06And we had a tremendous meeting.

01:09I guess it's about a month now, a month ago.

01:11And I think Mark will tell you that it was really perhaps more important, the date of November 5th, that was the election day.

01:20Maybe that was the most important, because we've made tremendous progress together.

01:23And one of the reasons that you're here today is to hear that we are very unhappy, I am, with Russia.

01:33But we'll discuss that maybe a different day.

01:36But we're very, very unhappy with them, and we're going to be doing very severe tariffs.

01:42If we don't have a deal in 50 days, tariffs at about 100 percent, you'd call them secondary tariffs.

01:48You know what that means.

01:51But today, we're going to talk about something else.

01:53And as you know, we've spent $350 billion, approximately, on this war with Russia and Ukraine.

02:02And we'd like to see it end.

02:04It wasn't my war.

02:04It was Biden's war.

02:06It's not my war.

02:07I'm trying to get you out of it.

02:09And we want to see it end.

02:11And I'm disappointed in President Putin, because I thought we would have had a deal two months ago.

02:17But it doesn't seem to get there.

02:19So, based on that, we're going to be doing secondary tariffs if we don't have a deal in 50 days.

02:24It's very simple.

02:25And they'll be at 100 percent.

02:27And that's the way it is.

02:29It can be more simple.

02:30It's just the way it is.

02:31I hope we don't have to do it.

02:33But, regardless, we are going to be – we make the greatest military equipment in the world.

02:41Whether it's missiles, you saw that recently in Iran, the way those planes flew in.

02:45They had every single – 14 bombs hit every target.

02:49Then you had the helicopter shoot a total of 30 bombs, 30 missiles.
