At a Turning Point USA Event in Tampa, Florida on Friday, Donald Trump Jr. spoke about the Big, Beautiful Bill.
Transcript
00:00Obviously huge last November.
00:02Yeah, and the theme of what we're talking about is fulfilling the mandate,
00:05especially for the younger voters in this audience.
00:09Last week, the One Big Beautiful Bill was finally passed and signed into law.
00:13And one of the components of the One Big Beautiful Bill,
00:17the most important, is fully funding ICE, fully funding the deportation effort.
00:23What would your perspective be?
00:25Your father has said no amnesty under any circumstances whatsoever.
00:30Talk about the need for mass deportations
00:33and how we will not put up with any amnesty whatsoever.
00:36Listen, it's so fundamentally critical.
00:38I mean, it was really the number one issue we all campaigned on.
00:42We see what it happened, what it did to so much of America,
00:46what it did to so many communities,
00:47and honestly, what it did to so many of the low-income communities in this country
00:51where people were just sweeping those jobs
00:53and ultimately everyone's potential American dream was getting wiped away.
00:58And so the Big Beautiful Bill, the funding of the wall,
01:02the funding of ICE is so fundamentally important
01:06to actually getting these things done, right?
01:08We saw what we could do about just the border itself,
01:11but now you have 20 million people probably.
01:14I imagine they don't even know.
01:16Just getting in there, they're getting all the benefits.
01:19You know, the benefits that you guys pay for for yourselves,
01:22that your parents probably paid for for all of you guys,
01:25and they get that with no contribution to the system.
01:28And that was by design under the Biden administration.
01:32So to have the funding to, A, start the mass deportations,
01:36but more importantly, the parts of the bill that literally cut off all of the freebies
01:41that were just draining our coffers,
01:44but more importantly, were a calling card to the rest of the world.
01:48Be like, you know, come here, we'll give you everything.
01:50You know, the health care that you got gets diluted
01:53because you get to pay for thousands of others,
01:55millions of others, tens of millions of others,
01:58who will likely never even pay into the system.
02:00It doesn't work.
02:01It doesn't work in any other country,
02:03and there's a reason no other country was doing it.
02:05So, you know, that was a fundamental aspect of the Big Beautiful Bill
02:09to now actually have the funding to do this.
02:11And it was sort of amazing to me how much even reluctance there was
02:16from so many, you know, allegedly on our side,
02:19who said, well, it's just controversial.
02:21You're going to have to deport someone.
02:23You know, listen, there's going to be good people that this happens to, too,
02:26but there are millions of criminals.
02:28And this is Joe Biden's eyes.
02:30I mean, when I saw the statistics,
02:31I literally couldn't believe that a civilization could survive
02:36when, you know, our Western values, our culture,
02:40the civilization itself, when they literally admitted,
02:44and, you know, this is Biden's eyes stats,
02:45so this is probably diluted a lot,
02:47but 600,000 criminals, 13,000 murderers.
02:52I mean, think about that.
02:5313,000 murderers were let into the country.
02:56They knew they were murderers, and they let them into the country.
02:5916,000 rapists.
03:02Okay, add those together.
03:04You got, what, 30,000, let's call it, 30,000 murderers and rapists.
03:07There's about 4,000 counties in America.
03:10Imagine you spread them out, you know, evenly throughout that.
03:14Yeah, we'll throw seven murderers or rapists into every county in America.
03:19How's that going to work?
03:21What's the end game there?
03:22And that's what was going on.
03:23The end game is Lake and Riley.
03:26And the end game is Rachel Morin,
03:27which is dead people all across the country because of the open border.
03:31Yeah.
03:31So, you know, that has to stop.
03:34They got to get rid of that.
03:35And they have to also do a lot more,
03:38because they have to enable the Americans to have a chance.
03:41We have to be able to innovate, grow,
03:43be productive enough to create the wages necessary in a lot of these businesses
03:47that Americans will actually work there.
03:49We've seen what happens when some of these places,
03:51oh, it's going to be a disaster.
03:52Oh, wow, there's a line of Americans ready to do some of these jobs.
03:56You know, a big part of it was also, you know,
04:00from the corporate tax cut standpoint, right?
04:02That's great.
04:03I mean, I'm a business guy.
04:04I love the corporate tax cuts.
04:06But I think what was really unique about the BBB
04:09was how much time, energy, and political capital
04:13my father put into making sure those tax cuts
04:17translate down to working-class Americans.
04:20Okay, when you have the no tax on tips,
04:24all of these ideas,
04:26they're going to benefit Americans so greatly.
04:28The original tax plan from the first administration,
04:32it did just that.
04:33Everyone said, oh, it's just corporate, it's just corporate.
04:34But I think the stats were, like, close to 90% of Americans,
04:38like regular people,
04:40got thousands and thousands of dollars in real benefits to them.
04:44And that's the idea.
04:45I mean, his fundamental purpose is to make sure that those real Americans,
04:49the hard-working Americans who've seen their wages diminished with inflation,
04:53we're getting that under control too,
04:55but that were really struggling for the last few years,
04:58actually get to see the benefits of these cuts.
05:01And again, it's one of those things where my father had to go way out of his way
05:05because, you know, the Republican class,
05:06well, we're going to do it for corporations
05:07and maybe some of that will trickle down.
05:09No.
05:10You know, it's going to be about the Americans,
05:13about getting them the most benefit out of this.
05:15And that's how everyone wins.
05:16And so this last...
