00:00Five lights on ahead of the drivers, it's lights out, and away we go,

00:04Leclerc gets away well, ahead of Hamilton and Verstappen,

00:07and then you've got Sainz and Gasly scrapping away behind them,

00:10but it's Charles Leclerc with a clear lead going through Turn 1,

00:13he's got the start, he's got the pole, and he's gone away from Lewis Hamilton,

00:17and they're looking up, Sainz, Gasly ahead, Sergio Perez making up places as well,

00:22the two McLarens getting bogged down in the midfield, and the charge is on now,

00:25down towards Turn 3, Charles Leclerc leads the Azerbaijan Grand Prix from Hamilton,

00:31and then comes Verstappen and Sergio Perez ahead of Gasly, but only just,

00:34the two going through into Turn 3, separated by inches and making it.

00:40The Ferrari of Charles Leclerc has Lewis Hamilton right behind him,

00:43and Leclerc has been leading throughout this race, but not for long,

00:46because Hamilton's got the toe, he's got the slipstream, he doesn't need DRS,

00:50and he makes the pass to take the lead of this race,

00:53Leclerc's going to try and fight him back, going into Turn 1,

00:55but it's Hamilton now ahead of Leclerc with Verstappen in third.

00:59We're watching Yuki Tsunoda in eighth as well,

01:01and we're watching Charles Leclerc under massive pressure from Max Verstappen,

01:05he's had to wait a few laps to get past the Ferrari,

01:07it's happened now at the beginning of lap seven,

01:10Hamilton leads, Verstappen is now second and chasing after the Mercedes,

01:14Leclerc down to third, and there's Yuki Tsunoda,

01:17is he going to get past Fernando Alonso going into Turn 1?

01:20Do you know what? Yes, he is!

01:23Look at Sergio Perez, straight there for protection,

01:25this is exactly what Red Bull need, isn't it?

01:27Up to third place, what a drive so far.

01:29In the space of a single lap, Charles Leclerc is now out of the podium at places.

01:35What's happened in sector two? We've got a yellow flag.

01:41and it is a Ferrari of Carlos Sainz, who's gone off into the runoff area,

01:46Hamilton comes in, Verstappen and Perez stay out.

01:50Hamilton, it's a slow stop again, but he had to wait for the other car

01:54that was coming down the pit lane. We've not seen drivers have problems here,

01:59but on the hard tyre, he locks up and has to bail out.

02:22That's the crucial thing here. Hamilton's slow stop has cost him track position

02:26after the pit stop to Max Verstappen.

02:38That's undone all his good work as you see Max Verstappen going into turn one.

02:43Where's Hamilton now? Coming through turn one. Sergio Perez comes out in second place.

02:49Still ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen is ahead. Sergio Perez behind his teammate.

02:54Hamilton behind now both Red Bulls. Oh no! And that is an accident and it is Lance Stroll.

03:01And Lance Stroll, who might well have been coming into the pits,

03:04has left a huge amount of debris on the track.

03:07He's moving around in the cockpit. That's great to see what happened to Lance Stroll.

03:14And yeah, absolutely no chance of avoiding the accidents.

03:25We are going to get racing here in Baku and now Verstappen's gone.

03:29And Lewis Hamilton has got a really nice toe behind Sergio Perez. Pierre Gasly locks up.

03:39Gets past the Ferrari. Sergio Perez is under pressure from Lewis Hamilton.

03:43There's a huge lock up by Charles Leclerc.

03:46He almost goes into the back of Sebastian Vettel.

03:48Somehow the Aston Martin doesn't make contact.

03:51Now Sebastian Vettel's looking to have a go up here.

03:54Gasly as well as Hamilton is trying to make a move on Sergio Perez.

03:58Perez goes through second.

03:59Gasly goes ahead, stays ahead I should say, of Sebastian Vettel.

04:03High drama at the restart there and Charles Leclerc very nearly coming a cropper.

04:10Sebastian Vettel getting a nice one off Pierre Gasly.

05:27And Hamilton has gone from second in the race to falling out of the points.

05:32As they tiptoe their way around turn two.

05:35We lost the championship leader with a crash.

05:38We lost his main rival with a lockup at the restart.

05:41This has not been a good day for the top two in the championship.

05:45Under pressure now Pierre Gasly's got Charles Leclerc right behind him.

05:49Looks like Charles Leclerc is ahead of Pierre Gasly.
