00:16This charming little spot located within the grounds of the Yuanlin Xiaojot Buddhist temple in Putaling Jaya

00:27Its founder, Chong Ka Kiat, believes this venue stands out as the first-ever cafe in Malaysia located inside a temple.

00:36If it's not a coffee shop, then this is a quiet place to enjoy a coffee with a calm and spiritual atmosphere.

00:44And the idea we open this cafe is we believe that life does not have been rushed,

00:53good coffee does not have been so complicated.

00:58Chong says he is grateful to the temple management for all their help as he could not have opened this place without their support.

01:06Just as 37 Degrees is a temperature just right for the body,

01:11the cafe aims to serve its customers treats that are just right for them.

01:16Its welcoming interior is steeped in eastern aesthetics with traditional tatami mats, calligraphy scrolls,

01:24and intricately carved wooden panels creating a space that feels both calming and timeless.

01:31Visitors can also explore the cafe's outdoor seating area and admire the beautiful craftsmanship of the temple's many pillars and statues.

01:41We open in all the reasons because in Buddhist we didn't have a much restrict to

01:49oh you cannot come like here, here, here cannot come.

01:52Or I think this is a important message I can pass to everyone that we are open-minded and really free to welcome everyone to visit.

02:02Because after we visit the temple we can know each other very much.

02:08Oh this is stupid, what Buddhist temple looks like and what these Buddhists look like.

02:14And then we hope more people can understand each other.

02:20Food wise, there's also plenty to enjoy here.

02:23The bagels are an especially delicious treat.

02:26Try the earthy and satisfying charcoal taro and the zesty earl grey.

02:33Another highlight is the mango mochi, a soft and chewy pastry with a burst of juicy sweetness embedded within.

02:40There's also a variety of delectable drinks to sample.
