Taiwan to Showcase Its Culture at 'We TAIWAN' in Osaka

Taiwan is set to promote its culture and talent in Osaka this summer, alongside Expo 2025.

00:00Taiwan is ready to showcase its talents and culture on the world stage at We Taiwan,

00:05an event held alongside Expo 2025, a world fair in Osaka.

00:15The event comes after the country's success last year at the Cultural Olympiad in Paris,

00:21which attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors.

00:23And this time, We Taiwan's organizers have adopted the motto of supporting the future

00:29The Island of Miracles, that highlights Taiwan's social resilience as a strong democracy,

00:35along with the country's role in shaping the technology of a rapidly changing world.

00:40It also responds to the theme of Expo 2025, Designing Future Society for Our Lives.

00:59We Taiwan will kick off on August 2nd and run through August 20th,

01:16with around 500 contributing artists delivering everything from tech-infused dance performances

01:21to VR showcases, films and literature.

01:25There will also be exhibitions and markets held at several venues across Osaka.

01:41Besides We Taiwan, a media event held on Monday also revealed another surprise.

01:469 groups of performers will take the stage to express the Taiwanese people's gratitude

02:13toward heaven, earth and spirit, as well as their deep love for life.
