00:00Hey, what's up? It's Sav Hudson from Between Friends, and today I'm going to show you some of my favorite pieces from my wardrobe.
00:06I would describe my style as fun, eclectic, silly, happy-go-lucky.
00:14I don't know. I definitely like to play around.
00:17I think I'm in an age right now where I just want to try everything before it's too late,
00:23even though I think I'll continue doing this for the rest of my life.
00:26Okay, this is a very special piece to me. My brother had it made for me this past Christmas.
00:35Between Friends is the name of our project.
00:38I had a little Between Friends there, too. I love to wear it.
00:42This is a piece from a brand called Borbala.
00:46She actually uses all recycled materials when making her clothes.
00:50I wore this for a music video called Laurel, and there's a skirt that matches, but it's in storage now,
00:57but it's out of all recycled, like, plastic. It's crazy.
01:02She has another piece, actually, that she also made for me that I brought out.
01:07It's just so special. I've worn this, like, a lot more than I thought I would as a dress or as, like, a top with jeans under.
01:18I wore this for a friend's Grammy after party.
01:22Very fun, very funky.
01:25This is a very cool piece.
01:26This is vintage Comme des Garçons, and I think what I can gather, they chopped up a suit jacket,
01:35and they just kind of, like, piled it all on top of each other.
01:39So, like, this part goes over right here, and it's just, like, really chic, really sexy vibe.
01:46This piece is a grail of all grails.
01:52This is ERD and Daft Punk.
01:57For Daft Punk's last album, they, for their merch line, did a collaboration with ERD,
02:04and they only made a few pieces, and my brother and I share this, but it's very special.
02:11Very cool. We love Daft Punk.
02:13Okay, this is kind of funny.
02:16It's vintage 90s Miu Miu, and I've actually never worn it because I got it from an estate sale, and it's damaged,
02:24and I just, like, don't want to take it somewhere to get fixed because I'm too scared they're going to, like, ruin it.
02:30I've worn the top many times before, and the skirt looks like this.
02:35It's gorge.
02:37But I just love it, and I like to know that it's in my closet.
02:41Makes me happy.
02:42I love Miu Miu.
02:45Okay, these are fun.
02:47Martina Cox makes these, and there's a surprise on the butt.
02:54You, basically, this is the front, and then on the little cheeks, it's, like, windows.
03:01I've only worn these once out in public, and I wore, like, more covered underwear underneath just because I'm not that scandalous.
03:12But I just think they're so cool.
03:16And, like, all of her work, she plays with, like, tapestry, window, curtains.
03:23Like, she has tops that she makes where, like, it's, like, right here.
03:26And I just think it's so fun and creative.
03:29And I love her work.
03:31This is very special.
03:33One of my very, very close friends, Lindsay, has a brand called Verconic, and she makes all of this knitwear herself by hand.
03:43And I have tops from her, sweaters from her, leg warmers, and she actually just sent me this sweet little number.
03:51And I'm just obsessed.
03:52I think she's so talented.
03:55This is, like, a double whammy story because I have shoes that go along with this.
03:59But we played a show in New York a few months back, and I got a call to be a part of a Heaven by Marc Jacobs campaign.
04:10And I was, like, not expecting it.
04:12I was so excited, and I was super hungover, but I, like, got my butt up and got there.
04:17And afterwards, I was just, like, alone walking around in New York, and I had my headphones on, and I just felt so lucky.
04:25And then I went into this vintage store, and I, like, saw this jacket, and I thought I'd get myself a little anecdote from that special day.
04:34These are the shoes from the shoot Marc Jacobs, and these are the Kiki booth, I think.
04:43I have yet to wear them out.
04:47Because I'm too afraid I'm going to be, like, eight feet tall and hurt myself.
04:52But it's, like, another one of those things I just, like, love that it's in my closet.
04:57I want it in my closet.
04:59I like to just admire.
05:02This brand called The Incorporated allowed me to create this dress with them for our performance at Governor's Ball in New York.
05:14And it's still dirty, and I refuse to clean it because, like, it's the memory of me falling down and getting dirty on stage that I love so much about it.
05:26Um, we basically, I wanted to make a jersey dress, gown type thing.
05:31The back says cutie, um, because that's the name of our VP that came out.
05:36I just love it.
05:37And we added all these, I took them off because I didn't want it to snag, but we, my brother and I, encrusted, like, this whole collar area with vintage pins.
05:46So, there were, like, angels and hearts and fun, beautiful stuff, and then we had him wear the boy version of it.
05:56This was my mom's beautiful dress.
06:01Um, it looks like Poochie, but it's not Poochie.
06:04She wants me to say that.
06:06Um, it's got this, like, gorgeous kind of leather detailing.
06:10And, I don't know, I just think it's so fun, and I like to always have a piece of her with me wherever I'd go.
06:18So, I love this dress, like, with little buns, little dark lip.
06:24This is a very special dress.
06:27So, as you can see, it's very Italian looking.
06:32I am half Italian, and I went to Italy a few summers ago with my family, and I thrifted this dress, and I couldn't believe that it was real.
06:45It has, like, the Gournu on it, which is, like, a very Italian, like, good luck type, like, warding bad energy off.
06:54And it's just encrusted on the back, like, it's like a necklace on the back.
06:59And then, you know, we got the grapes.
07:02We got the little, little tiny guitar.
07:06This is fun.
07:07I also share this with my brother, but, um, our manager got this for us for Christmas, I think, or a birthday.
07:15It's this gorgeous off-white, um, trench coat.
07:19And it's reversible, so you can, you can be plain and simple, or you can be like Kodak.
07:26This is a vintage bowling bag, and it did have a bowling ball in it.
07:33But I am not using it for that purpose.
07:36I think it's a very fun purse to use.
07:41I brought it on our entire second leg of tour this past time we went out.
07:46And I put so much stuff in there.
07:49I will say the one non-practical thing about it is, like, when you zip, it's, it's all open.
07:58But beauty is pain.
08:00This is a very special piece to me.
08:02I live in L.A.
08:04I grew up going to the Chateau Marmont.
08:07Love Gucci.
08:09And they just so happened to do a collab.
08:12I was having dinner there, like, six years ago, and they just, like, had these, like, above the check-in desk, like, in a box.
08:21And I was like, what is that?
08:22It's like, oh yeah, we did a collab with Gucci and something, no big deal.
08:25And I'm like, yeah, I'm going to need that forever.
08:29And so my best friend and I got matching ones, and it's just very, very special to me.
08:35I don't know.
08:35I just love it.
08:36I have a huge infatuation with Japanese culture and fashion.
08:43I just love it.
08:44I admire it.
08:45I was at this store called Search and Destroy, and they get all of their, like, best vintage from Japan, like, from estate sales or auction houses.
08:57And this is just, like, a perfect purse.
09:02She's fun.
09:02And this very, extremely deconstructed little Lamy bag just makes every outfit a little more cute.
09:16This brand is called Lucky Jewel.
09:19They use old puffer jackets, and they just, like, sew it.
09:23It's just, everything's, like, recycled and upcycled, and I just, I love that.
09:27There's a theme here for that.
09:29I think you should always upcycle, recycle, reuse.
09:34She's cute.
09:35This is ready for whatever.
09:38Like, you can take me to the park.
09:41You can take me into a party.
09:44You can take me to school.
09:46And it's all acceptable because this is amazing.
09:49These are Dior moon boots.
09:52I think my friend had to fight someone for them in order to get them for me.
09:56The inside is, like, not lined, hard to wear, but I just love them.
10:04All right.
10:05I'm not sure if I'm completely butchering this name, but by Linnea Christine.
10:11Just made the most amazing art of a boot for me for a music video that I shot called Orange
10:22Deuce.
10:22And I couldn't have dreamt of something as perfect as this.
10:29All of these little animals are real stuffed animals, so it just carries the weight of that.
10:35And, like, when you wear them, it feels like you're ready to conquer.
10:40I guess I'll start with this piece just because it's screaming my name.
10:45This is a beautiful piece by Karina Gutos.
10:50She hand makes all of this jewelry, and she uses, like, real shells, and she pierces them.
10:56And I just think it's so cool, like, playing with something so natural and adding something
11:04kind of more, like, hard to such a soft-looking thing.
11:09I think this is probably the most self-explanatory piece on here.
11:17I was in Berlin with my two best friends.
11:20I go almost every summer with them.
11:22And I love techno.
11:26And Berlin loves techno.
11:28And I was at this store, and they had these little pendants kind of, like, on a clip-on
11:35earring.
11:36But I saw that he was custom-making another pair of earrings for somebody else that had
11:42these, like, diamond-looking things on them.
11:44And I was like, hey, like, can you do that to mine?
11:48And he was like, yeah, come back in an hour, and I'll do it for you.
11:50And this little box has something fun in it.
11:56My grill.
11:58Should I put it on?
12:00Okay.
12:02It's a gift, and it's fabulous.
12:07So this is a work in progress.
12:11It doesn't look like much, but I have this fun idea, and I think I need one more, or I
12:16need someone to help me who knows how to work with jewelry.
12:19These are vintage G-Shocks, baby Gs, because I'm baby G.
12:24And I wanted to, like, make it a choker of some sort, but I think I need, like, two more
12:29so that, like, the face of the watch can be, like, in a row.
12:37These are vintage Dior sunglasses that I think are up there with, like, some of my favorite
12:46sunglasses of all time.
12:47They're just, I mean, I don't even have to say anything.
12:54It's just self-explanatory.
12:57You're always going fast when you wear these.
13:00You're never slowing down.
13:02Another pair of sunglasses that are vintage.
13:05These were also my mother's Chanel sunglasses.
13:07I hope she doesn't watch this, because she'll know that I stole them.
13:13Come on.
13:18A Tamagotchi necklace.
13:20I have two of these, but I thought I'd bring this one out first, because it was my first
13:27one.
13:27And I've actually waited until this day to pull the tab.
13:36Should we do it?
13:39Now I've got to feed them all the time.
13:42Thank you so much, Who What Wear, for having me today.
13:45I had so much fun sharing with you all the very special, eclectic pieces from my wardrobe.
13:51And maybe you can come over again soon, and I'll show you the rest of the closet.
13:54But now I'm away, counting your days, hope to be the last one, go on and say, holding
14:01my breath when I see you look away, holding me to the death of me.
