05:55Liane, congratulations.
05:56What a way to finish your Giro.
05:58Yeah, super happy.
05:59It's a bit unreal
06:00to win two stages here.
06:02Unfortunately, we lost
06:03the Maglia Rosa.
06:04Marlene was not feeling great.
06:06Struggling with something.
06:08But we kept on fighting
06:10and we said, okay,
06:11yesterday we accepted.
06:13Today we go full gas for the stage.
06:15And also great to see the whole team was on fire.
06:18Marlene was riding for me.
06:20And yeah, I had the confidence.
06:22I had to finish it off today.
06:24Also for Marlene
06:25to make her happy again.
06:27We have two.
06:28We have seen you close to Marlene
06:30then in the attack of Anna
06:32van der Breggen.
06:33You go with there.
06:34What that was in your mind
06:35at that moment?
06:36Yeah, I think Marlene and me,
06:37we both knew.
06:38Without talking,
06:39we know if Anna goes,
06:40we have to be there.
06:41So she follow, I follow.
06:43And in the end,
06:44I was with Anna
06:45and perfect situation for me.
06:47I think so.
06:48Super nice.
06:49So two stage win at the Giro.
06:51If you look back at how you started the Giro
06:54and how you finish,
06:55what are the emotions,
06:56the feelings?
06:57Yes, super.
06:58It's incredible how I started with thinking
07:01why I will,
07:02I will not be good.
07:03I will not be good in the tour.
07:04And now with going home
07:06with so much confidence,
07:07so much looking forward to the tour.
07:09Yeah, it's like a roller coaster,
07:11our sport.
07:12And yeah,
07:13everyone has to keep this in mind,
07:15I think,
07:16and always look for better times.
07:17They will come.
07:18Congratulations.
07:19Thank you.
07:21Elisa,
07:22congratulations for the second time
07:23you won the Giro d'Italia.
07:25What are the emotions now?
07:26Yeah,
07:27I just don't,
07:28I just don't know.
07:29It's just,
07:30it's been an incredible journey
07:32together with my team,
07:33the UA Team ADQ.
07:35It's been eight days,
07:38completely full gas.
07:40We created actions.
07:42We believed,
07:43we believed every single day.
07:45And we stayed humble.
07:48We,
07:49we went very bold yesterday.
07:52And yeah,
07:53we got home this victory
07:55that is just the result of days
07:58and days of training together.
08:00as I said yesterday.
08:02And building up a team
08:05towards this goal.
08:07And yeah,
08:08I cannot be any more,
08:11much more thankful to my teammates
08:14than now.
08:15Because if I,
08:17if I wear this jersey now,
08:19it's because of them.
08:21They all were super committed.
08:23They were never surrendering.
08:26And yeah,
08:27I just,
08:28I'm just speechless.
08:29Today has never been an easy stage.
08:31We have seen the movies
08:32start close to you,
08:33but you and the other girls
08:35were very focused on that goal.
08:37How we went today?
08:38Yeah,
08:39today I was very focused on Marlene.
08:41I thought she would attack
08:42on the last climb,
08:43but when I saw that she was not moving,
08:46I was like,
08:47all right,
08:48she maybe,
08:49she maybe will give the chance
08:50to Liane Lippert.
08:52And so she,
08:54she did.
08:55But for me,
08:56it was not a threat.
08:57And when I saw Anna van der Breggen
08:59moving together with Liane,
09:01I was just like,
09:02all right, fine.
09:03Like I,
09:04yeah,
09:05I was like,
09:07chilling a little bit out
09:09because it was really stressful
09:10the whole day.
09:11We were super ready to,
09:14to go and super ready to react
09:16to any attack.
09:17but in the end,
09:18they weren't,
09:19they weren't happening.
09:20But yeah,
09:21that's just amazing.
09:23I don't know,
09:24I don't know how to explain it.
09:25Thank you so much
09:26and congratulations.
09:27Thank you.
09:28Marlene,
09:29during this Giro,
09:30we have seen your strength,
09:31we have seen your heart,
09:32your tears for the Maglia Rosa.
09:34How are the motion now?
09:36How it went for you?
09:37Yeah,
09:38I'm just super,
09:40super tired.
09:42Actually,
09:43I was sick the last three days
09:45and really like,
09:46like I was not sure
09:49if I can start at all today.
09:51Yesterday is so bad.
09:52So I'm super happy
09:54that I could somehow save this
09:56at least the second spot.
09:58But yeah,
09:59I'm very,
10:00very sad that this happened,
10:02that I became sick.
10:03And yeah,
10:04I'm super proud of the team
10:07that they,
10:08they kept motivating me
10:09and that we tried it.
10:11and I think I can be very proud
10:13of the fight I gave.
10:15I gave it all.
10:17And now I'm just,
10:18I'm sorry.
10:19I'm happy also for Liane,
10:21that she won.
10:22I'm just so tired.
10:23For sure.
10:24So done.
10:25We have seen your heart during this Giro,
10:27your strength.
10:28I tell once again,
10:29if you look back,
10:31do you imagine the Giro
10:34could be like that for you?
10:36I mean,
10:37you have done such an amazing
10:38first part of the Giro,
10:39but also the second,
10:40in my opinion.
10:41So what do you bring with you
10:42after this experience?
10:43Yeah,
10:44actually,
10:45I am still confident
10:47I could have won it.
10:48I'm really like,
10:49if I would not become so sick,
10:52I think we could have won it.
10:54And I'm really sad for this
10:55because you worked for so long.
10:58Like I know from life
10:59that it's not,
11:00not always going well
11:02and the last months
11:04or like almost a year now,
11:06it's going well
11:08and I have such a good shape
11:09and it's not a lot of times in life
11:11that these opportunities come.
11:13So I feel really pity of it
11:15that this happened.
11:17But yeah,
11:18I'm grateful still to be second.
11:20I mean,
11:21that's very,
11:22very,
11:23very nice in this moment.
11:24So I should not be,
11:26yeah,
11:27I don't know.
11:28It's,
11:29it's both.
11:30It's just,
11:31it's crazy.
11:32For sure.
11:33We really appreciate the duel
11:35between you and Elisa
11:36gave us such an interesting
11:38way of this Giro.
11:40What do you think about her?
11:42About Elisa
11:44and also about the fight
11:45you have with her.
11:46Yeah,
11:47I think Elisa is a really
11:48strong bike racer
11:50and I also don't want to say
11:52she didn't deserve
11:53or something.
11:54She really fought hard yesterday.
11:55She really was brave.
11:57She attacked so early
11:59and I think she deserves.
12:01But I want to face her next time
12:03in full health again.
12:04It's just so shit.
12:05Sorry,
12:07I shouldn't say that word.
12:08And we can't wait
12:09to see you again
12:10in another duel
12:11with Elisa
12:12maybe last year.
12:13So thank you so much
12:14for all the things
12:15you gave to the Giro.
12:16Thank you.
12:17Thank you.
12:18Thank you.
12:19At that point
12:20I can for sure
12:21call you the queen
12:22of the Italian mountains.
12:23How do you feel?
12:24I'm just so thrilled.
12:25I can't believe
12:26how well this week went.
12:27and yeah, my team
12:29just rode so strongly again
12:31and yeah,
12:32so cohesively.
12:33I'm just so grateful.
12:35All the staff,
12:36all the riders,
12:37they were all incredible.
12:39And then also the support
12:40from back home
12:41all my family and friends.
12:42It's been really wonderful.
12:43So yeah,
12:44thank you everyone.
12:45Looking back
12:46at some months ago
12:47after that important surgery
12:49in order to recover,
12:50do you ever expect
12:52that things went like that?
12:54Oh, of course not.
12:55I was hoping just to be back racing
12:57my bike and riding again
12:58without pain.
12:59That was my main concern
13:01with the surgery work
13:02and I can say it
13:03100% worked
13:04and racing with two legs
13:06is very fun.
13:07I think I have to send
13:08an email to my surgeon
13:09when I get home tomorrow
13:11and say,
13:12hey, thank you.
13:13It worked.
13:14What feelings,
13:15what emotions
13:16you bring for you
13:17in Australia
13:18after this Giro?
13:19Yeah,
13:20I'm just still in shock.
13:23I think it will take a while
13:24to sink in.
13:25But yeah,
13:26mainly just so appreciative
13:27and grateful
13:28to my team
13:29and also everyone
13:30that supported me
13:31over the really hard
13:32last seven months.
13:33Yeah.
13:34We can't wait
13:35to see you back
13:36even the last year.
13:37For now,
13:38congratulations again.
13:39Yeah, thank you.
13:40I really hope to race
13:41the Giro next year.
13:42Antonia,
13:43congratulations.
13:44You start the Giro
13:45with a white jersey,
13:46you end the Giro
13:47with a white jersey.
13:48What are the feelings now?
13:49Yeah.
13:50It's really nice
13:51that I could secure
13:52the white jersey
13:53and I'm happy about that.
13:54That I have like
13:55finally something
13:56from the Giro
13:57like I always missed it out
13:58somehow.
13:59So yeah,
14:00it's a nice treat.
14:01How it went
14:02the Giro
14:03in order of legs
14:04and also in order
14:05of emotions?
14:06Yeah, I think I went
14:07to every motion
14:08the whole Giro
14:09and like for sure
14:11some days were like
14:12harder,
14:13some days like mentally,
14:14some days more
14:15for the body.
14:16Like it was really
14:17like up and downs,
14:18but it was a nice Giro.
14:19I really enjoyed it.
14:20And yeah,
14:21it's just like one
14:22of my favorite races.
14:24And also today
14:25in order to keep the Maglia,
14:27I think it wasn't have been
14:29so easy because we have
14:30seen the attack
14:31of Isabella Holmgren.
14:32So what do you think
14:33about today?
14:34Yeah, today was a super hot stage
14:36for closing the Giro.
14:38So yeah,
14:39for sure.
14:40I was a little bit nervous,
14:41but I knew
14:42that I had good legs today
14:43and that I can ride
14:44this kind of parkour
14:46quite well.
14:47So I wasn't too worried
14:49about like I knew
14:50that I can go
14:51with the attacks
14:52if I'm a good position
14:53and the team really
14:54helped me to always
14:55stay in the front
14:56to always be there.
14:57So yeah,
14:58it was like for me
14:59it was like quite okay.
15:01Congratulations.
15:02Thank you so much.
15:03Thank you so much.
15:04Thank you so much.
15:05Lorena, congratulations.
15:06We know the Maglia Rosa
15:08wasn't your first goal,
15:09but now you have it
15:10and I think you enjoyed it.
15:11Yes, I really enjoyed it.
15:13I had to be a bit more
15:15or survive the first climb today
15:17and it succeeded.
15:19And even I rode away
15:21in the down wheel
15:22and yeah,
15:24it was a nice day out
15:25in the breakaway also.
15:26Yeah.
15:27So looking at today's stage,
15:29we have seen you attacking.
15:30We have seen you
15:31still with a lot of strength
15:32like it wasn't
15:33the eighth date of the Giro.
15:35So how do you feel now?
15:37My legs are smashed.
15:39So I feel the legs
15:40and I felt it during the stage,
15:41but I enjoyed it today
15:43and it's better like this
15:45than being dropped
15:46on one of the first climbs.
15:47Looking at your Giro,
15:49looking back at those days,
15:50are you satisfied
15:51of what you have done?
15:53Yeah, I'm happy also
15:54with the shape
15:55and how this Giro went
15:56and I think I can look
15:58with some confidence
