12 जून को अहमदाबाद से उड़ान भरने के तुरंत बाद क्रैश हुए एयर इंडिया के विमान एआई 171 हादसे की जांच को लेकर एएआईबी ने प्रारंभिक जांच रिपोर्ट जारी की है। इससे पता चलता है कि विमान के दोनों इंजन एकसाथ बंद हो गए थे। फ्यूल स्विच रन से कटऑफ पोजिशन में थे, इस दौरान कॉकपिट में पायलट्स ने क्या बातचीत की ये भी जाहिर किया गया है। ऑडियो में एक पायलट ने पूछा, "तुमने फ्यूल कटऑफ क्यों किया ?", दूसरे ने जवाब दिया "मैंने नहीं किया"। एएआईबी की इस रिपोर्ट को लेकर पूर्व फ्लाइट सेफ्टी चीफ कैप्टन वाई के सिंह ने कहा कि ये बहुत ही प्रारंभिक जांच रिपोर्ट है इसमें जवाब कम और सवाल ज्यादा हैं।
