00:00Very much appreciated the new follow that popped up there, thank you very much.

00:14This is your NXT Great American Bash preview.

00:19Went into NXT on Wednesday talking about my desire to see them actually add anything.

00:25And I will say, credit where credit is due, that entire show was focused on building up

00:30to this weekend.

00:31There wasn't a, oh well maybe, it was the sole focus of this program to build up to Great

00:37American Bash and Evolution.

00:39So let's run it down.

00:40Javon Evans against Jasper Troy.

00:43I have said I am a very, very big fan of Javon Evans.

00:48This is not the time for him to win, I don't think.

00:50I think this kid is a future world champion, no doubt, but Jasper Troy, in trying to build

00:57him up as this big kind of powerful heel guy, I think we are running out of big losses that

01:04we can give him.

01:04He loses in the title match, he loses in the number one contenders bout, now he's got to

01:09pick up a win here.

01:11And it is unfortunate because Javon Evans, I think Javon Evans could genuinely be the

01:16guy who takes the belt off of Obafemi, sending Oma to the main roster, and kind of starting

01:21his own era as a champion in NXT.

01:26But I think right now the project is Jasper Troy, and so this is going to be one where

01:31he gets back into the win column, and they continue to build him up that way.

01:35Ethan Page against Ricky Saints for the North American Championship.

01:40Um, NXT picks are always interesting, because I could see both these guys going up to the

01:47main roster, like, tomorrow.

01:49And so, like, which one, which one?

01:53Um, I think Ethan Page, like, again, they're both, they are both ready.

01:57It's a false count anywhere match.

01:59I feel like with all the damage that has been done to Ricky Saints, you almost have to get

02:03him the victory in this one, too, just, just so that it's not just a series of ass kickings

02:09and then the rivalry is over.

02:10Um, and so I think Ricky Saints getting some of that momentum back, because it hasn't been

02:14a perfect start to his time in NXT, but allow that to kind of reset, allow him to feel like

02:20a big deal, and give him a championship win.

02:25And for Ethan Page, like, I could see after that he moves up to the main roster.

02:30Um, Sol Ruka taking on Izzy Dame for the Women's North American Championship.

02:36I, I kind of wondered if this would be the time where we really see Zarya and Izzy, uh,

02:44no, uh, Zarya and Sol Ruka start to split up a little bit.

02:47Then, they, they, they teased it, then they didn't, then they teased it, then they did.

02:52Um, I, I, I, one, I was wondering if this would be the time.

02:55I don't think it is going to be.

02:56I think what they could tell is something they did a little bit before with, uh, Fraser

03:00and Axiom, where one guy is going for singles gold, and the other one's like, hey, but we

03:05want the tag team titles, right?

03:06Like, we're a tag team.

03:08So, oh, yeah, yeah, of course.

03:09And then gets too beat up to really help out in tag team stuff.

03:12I think you could do that here, where Sol Ruka gets the win, but is too banged up to

03:17really help in the tag team title match coming up on Sunday.

03:20And you see more dissension in the ranks there.

03:24So, I still think Sol Ruka retains, um, although, I mean, there's a lot of, a lot of momentum

03:30behind the culling.

03:31So, this is not a stone-cold walk, um, but I, I think Sol Ruka probably retains here.

03:35Also, I just have to say, just a quick aside, the culling's growing on me.

03:40And I know that's not a popular thing, this, like, Sean Spears being back and everything.

03:44Um, I think people, I think it's become a little bit trendy to, to hate on this group.

03:50I'm really liking it.

03:51I think that it is, is it always the most creative?

03:55No.

03:55But I think it has been a very, a very good way of introducing a couple of characters.

04:00And having Sean Spears be this kind of leader guy of this faction, I think is working.

04:04So, the culling has definitely hit me more than I was expecting.

04:08Uh, but I do think Sol Ruka comes away with a championship win.

04:11Jordan Grace and Blake Monroe against Fatal Influences.

04:14JC Jane, who is the NXT Women's Champion, and Fallon Henley.

04:18Um, I think Jordan Grace gets her big moment at Evolution, so I, I think you put some doubt

04:24in for that match, and have Fatal Influence get a win, and build some momentum going into

04:30Sunday.

04:31And add, it's weird to say this, but add some legitimacy to your champion, who no one believes

04:37is the best on NXT right now.

04:40So, have her pick up a real, genuine win, um, and then have her lose to Jordan Grace

04:46in the championship match.

04:47I just, it is classic WWE 101, where the, the one who wins the first one doesn't get

04:51the second one.

04:52But I, I think that's probably how this is going to play out.

04:54And then Obafemi taking on Yoshiki Inomura.

04:58Again, it is the classic NXT conundrum.

05:01Obafemi is ready for the main roster.

05:03There is zero question that this guy is ready for that spot on the main roster.

05:11But no one on the, on NXT is ready to take this championship from him and be the guy.

05:16I think Inomura, like I've said all week, there are some aspects of his game that I find

05:21interesting, and that he could one day be a main event level performer, at least on NXT.

05:28I just don't think he is there yet.

05:29So, I don't think this is the one to, um, be the banana peel that Obafemi slips on, on

05:35his way into the main roster.

05:37I think that this is still going to be a dominant win for the ruler, who is genuinely one of

05:43my favorite performers in all of professional wrestling right now.

05:46So, Obafemi, the reign continues, um, in my opinion, on Saturday afternoon.
