The WBC Lightweight Championship is on the line as **Shakur Stevenson defends his title against the undefeated William Zepeda** in a massive clash on Saturday night.

We break down the full fight, including:

🥊 Shakur Stevenson's elite defense and technical mastery — can Zepeda even touch him?
🥊 William Zepeda’s power — real threat or overrated at this level?
🥊 The keys to victory for both fighters and why this might be a bad stylistic matchup for Zepeda
🥊 My official prediction — does Stevenson get a finish, or can Zepeda pull the upset?

This is a huge test for Stevenson before a possible mega fight against Gervonta Davis.

00:00the wbc lightweight championship is going to be on the line on saturday night as shakur
00:15stevenson defends his belt against william zepeda let's break it all down we will start
00:21with the wbc lightweight champion shakur stevenson who now enters the ring 28 years
00:27old with a height of five foot eight and a reach of 68 inches the southpaw was born in newark new
00:32jersey and he holds an undefeated record of 23 wins and zero losses 11 of those wins coming by
00:40knockout his last fight was a tko win over josh padley uh in february of 2025 in riyadh saudi
00:47arabia to retain the wbc lightweight championship he is the former wbo featherweight champion wbc
00:53super featherweight champion wbo super featherweight champion um again current wbc lightweight champ and
01:00the ring magazine super featherweight champion he goes up against william zepeda who's 29 years old
01:05five foot nine with a 69 and a half inch reach the southpaw born in san mateo mexico he is also
01:12undefeated going 33 and 0 with 27 wins by knockout his last fight was a majority decision against
01:20uh tevin farmer back in march of this year that allowed him to retain the wbc interim lightweight
01:26championship a lot of talk coming into this and the selling of it not being a one-sided fight
01:33is zepeda is that that record uh the knockout percentage 33 fights he's knocked out 27 opponents
01:41the problem is um those six decisions four of them have come in the last six fights as the competition
01:48has stepped up those knockouts have started to dwindle away so i don't think that this is the
01:54like obviously it's a fist fight so knockouts can happen but i don't think this is the oh my god a big
02:01power guy that people will want to sell you as it that people want to sell you on i just think that
02:08like stevenson obviously defensively he outclasses everybody um and that power from zepeda it will be
02:15there i just don't know if it's going to be there consistently enough against shakur stevenson and the
02:19defense that he has the movement that he has and the offense that he can put on i i feel like the
02:24strength of zepeda in this isn't as strong as people think and isn't going to be nearly as effective
02:30against stevenson i think it's a bad matchup for him in theory it's the type that you want to see
02:35shakur against someone who will put that pressure up add that urgency for stevenson and see if he can
02:43actually drag an interesting uh entertaining fight out of it i don't know if that is going to
02:48be necessarily the case here that's the way zepeda is going to have to fight is you don't want to get
02:53reckless because stevenson is going to be able to pick that apart but you do want to amp that pressure
02:57up and create a little bit of tension create a little bit of awkwardness on the stevenson side
03:02and just hope that you could that that pressure is able to break through with one big shot but
03:06overall i just i just feel like stevenson's too good it's oversimplistic i know but i just feel
03:14like stevenson better at boxing than zepeda is i think the defense is going to limit the knockout
03:19opportunities i think that expertise in the movement is going to be there and stevenson we keep saying it
03:25he has to know that this has to be impressive right and i get the last one needed to be too and we all
03:32should like i am for some reason just going to give him the benefit of the doubt one more time
03:38but with the potential of a fight against davis coming up this has to look good this has to look
03:45spectacular and i have to believe stevenson knows that and i i feel like he is going to be one who
03:51can now put that together and try to come away here with an emphatic victory on saturday night so i am
03:58going to go with stevenson and i'm going to say he finishes this bout on saturday so those are my
04:05picks for the big boxing fights that we are going to see this weekend
