00:00So my opinion on it, Nelly, is as follows on the Yankees, is I think that fans just by nature panic a lot and too much because it's a long season.
00:13Teams are going to have ups and downs.
00:14I feel like we've been doing this with Boone and the Yankees for years.
00:17There's always a couple of weeks or even a month over the course of the season where they just rely on Judge and they don't hit.
00:22It's happened again.
00:24But I feel like they'll make some moves and they'll be fine at the end of the year.
00:27They'll make the postseason, probably win the division, if not, get to the wild card.
00:31Are all those things fair or is there something maybe that I'm missing?
00:34You tell me.
00:35No, I think you're right on point.
00:37You're absolutely right.
00:39You know, the East Coast fan, you know, you look at Philadelphia, Boston, New York, they panic on every sport.
00:47And it's not just New York fans just don't panic when the Yankees don't do well.
00:50They panic when the Giants or the Jets or the Knicks or, you know, they really don't on the Brooklyn Nets.
00:56I mean, it's almost like they're non-existent.
00:58But they are always panic teams not doing well.
01:01And it's the Yankees.
01:02It's the same song and dance over and over that once once a team goes to a downslide, it's all we got to get rid of Boone.
01:09What are we doing?
01:10Why is he still here?
01:12Cashman needs to make a move.
01:13They want to get rid of Cashman.
01:15So it is funny.
01:17You know, it's a little bit hilarious.
01:19It's hilarious, but they do get up in arms.
01:21And I just I like seeing it because it's it's it's good comic, good comic, good comedic parody.
01:29I mean, here, there.
01:29So I like that part.
01:31But for the Yankees, they they're a team that goes how judge goes.
01:37And if judge hits and judge is productive, then they have a better chance of winning when they doesn't hit, then they usually don't win.
01:45And then that's for a championship team or a team that wants to be a championship and try to get back to the World Series and win one.
01:51You can't be you can't rely on one guy to carry a team.
01:54That just doesn't happen in baseball.
01:56No, it doesn't.
01:57And judge, as you can see, is having a career year again.
02:00I mean, we say this every year, but 34 home runs, 360 batting average, hit a home run last night.
02:05Cal Raleigh is his counterpart for the home run chase.
02:08He's got 36.
02:10I mean, Nellie, I know you don't get into betting at all, but it is kind of funny to me to see the odds favor judge to hit more home runs than Raleigh.
02:18And I'm going to ask you this is do you think that's they've made these odds?
02:22I think you can answer this.
02:23Do you think they've made these odds like this because Raleigh is a catcher and it's just going to be tougher for him?
02:28Yeah, I think so.
02:29Because Aaron doesn't play a demanding position.
02:32And he's either center field or right field, most of the time right field this year because Soto's not there.
02:38But you're absolutely right.
02:39And what Raleigh is doing is absolutely amazing.
02:42He set a new franchise record with home runs taking over or passing Ken Griffey Jr.
02:47out in Seattle before the All-Star break.
02:49If you had to vote today, I'd probably say he's the MVP only because he does play a more demanding position.
02:55He's also a switch hitter.
02:57He's a guy also that does not want out of the lineup.
03:00So it's not like other organizations where you catch him two nights and you have that day game and you all of a sudden give him a rest.
03:07They don't give him a rest and they don't DH him a lot of times.
03:10He's behind the plate basically all the time.
03:13So I understand the odds.
03:15If he can keep this up, it's going to be interesting to see where the voting is.
03:19Because if you look at this, you know, even Judge is in the Triple Crown question if he overtakes Raleigh with the home runs.
03:30But it's going to be interesting to see who they vote for if Raleigh can keep up this pace.
03:34He's going to be smart.
