00:00The Department of Trade and Industry, or DTI, has released 4.22 million pesos in loans
00:05as part of the newly launched Women's Enterprise Fund.
00:09During the ceremonial turnover, DTI Secretary Maria Cristina Roque
00:13awarded loan checks to selected women entrepreneurs.
00:17Under the WEF program, women-led businesses may borrow up to 20 million pesos
00:23depending on their enterprise size.
00:25Early beneficiaries include owners of sarisari stores, boutiques, pharmacies, salons, and restaurants.
00:32DTI Small Business Corporation has also allocated 1 billion pesos
00:36to create a special fast lane for women MSMEs aiming to empower more Filipinas in business.
