00:26President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. has appointed Dave Gomez as the new secretary of the Presidential Communications Office or PCO.
00:36He will replace Jay Ruiz who will be appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office or MECO.
00:42The palace says Gomez will ensure effective information dissemination, especially about government programs.
00:49Secretary Gomez brings decades of experience in journalism, government, and corporate communications,
00:57having served as a senior reporter, director general of the Philippine Information Agency and Communications,
01:05and communications director at PMFTC Incorporated.
01:10Secretary Dave will ensure clear and truthful government messaging for every Filipino.
01:16Ruiz expressed gratitude for the trust given to him by the president as he takes on a new mandate.
01:23He said his nearly five-month stint at the PCO was a learning experience that allowed him to serve the nation.
