00:00And now, can they win three straight against Tampa?
00:02They are favored to do so.
00:04Reese Olsen on the bump.
00:05Minus 146 is that updated price.
00:08Total is eight.
00:10What's the play in Motown on this Wednesday?
00:12Bats are scaring me here for Tampa Bay.
00:14Outside of Tampa Bay, these past two games up there in Detroit,
00:17they really haven't recovered one run and two runs here.
00:19Not enough to get it done.
00:20And when you're playing a team as good and as balanced as the Detroit Tigers,
00:23that's not going to work.
00:24But the key is, can the bats bounce back today?
00:27Zach Littell is going to be on the mound.
00:28How about a 95 XFIP minus over the past 60 days and a 2.84 ERA,
00:32which equates to a 3.88 XFIP number.
00:35He's been pretty good, but you take a look at Reese Olsen.
00:37His last 60 days, Ben, a 2.51 ERA, a 96 XFIP minus, and a 3.93 XFIP number.
00:42So for me, I look at this and say, I got burned the past two days
00:45thinking that the better side, or should I say the more valuable side,
00:48getting plus money was Tampa Bay.
00:50I'm not going to go against it today.
00:51Do I love the minus 144?
00:52No, I don't.
00:53But it seems like a getaway day.
00:5570-degree temperatures are like that.
00:56Crosswind, more of a right-field flagpole to left-field flagpole,
01:00so it really shouldn't impact.
01:01But I think Detroit's better.
01:02But I look at that eight.
01:03I don't know if we get the nine runs today.
01:05Two decent pitchers on the mound.
01:07And we're not going off of the Tigers' offense.
01:09I'm going on what I've been presenting from Tampa Bay
01:11for the past couple nights here.
01:12I just don't see a lot of it there.
01:14I'd be surprised if we get the nine runs.
01:16We'll keep it to the under in Motown today.
01:18This is looking for a three-game series sweep for Detroit.
01:23They've got the day off tomorrow.
01:24They welcome in the Mariners for their final weekend set before the All-Star break.
01:28The Rays have been on the road now for their second consecutive series.
01:32Quick turnaround for Tampa.
01:33They fly to Boston tonight.
01:35They take on the Red Sox, their divisional foes,
01:37for a four-game set in Fenway to end out the first half, if you will,
01:42before the All-Star break.
01:44The hottest team in baseball, DRS, that's the Blue Jays.
01:47Some day baseball on the south side of Chicago.
01:49Toronto looks for 11 consecutive wins.
01:52Minus 156, the favorites to do so, against the Sox.
01:56Total eight and a half.
01:58The Jays are one win shy of their franchise best win streak.
02:02That would be 11 wins.
02:04Matching that record in franchise history.
02:07Will the Blue Jays accomplish that today in Chicago?
02:10You would think so.
02:11And forget about even the pitching matchups.
02:13Just a really good baseball team against a bad baseball team.
02:15One team looking to close out the first half, or the unofficial first half of the first season,
02:19excuse me, the first half of the season before we get to the All-Star break.
02:23And that's Toronto.
02:23They've been hot.
02:24Now, you take a look at that total at eight and a half.
02:26It's hard to take it under the way that Toronto bats have really woken up.
02:29But here's the issue that we have.
02:30Like, Adrian Hauser, he's got a 97 X-fit minus, which is right around average for the past 60 days.
02:35But how about a 1.60 ERA, which is pretty impressive and a 3.97 X-fit number.
02:41You take a look at Eric Lauer.
02:42He's a slippery left-handed pitcher.
02:44A 95 X-fit minus and a 2.51 ERA.
02:47So, if you're just using those old school metrics saying, hey, man, I don't know if we get to nine runs.
02:51But, again, it's hard to doubt the bats of the Toronto Blue Jays right now.
02:54But here's the one thing that I do know.
02:56One team is shrieking and very good right now.
02:58One team is just really bad.
02:59And you look at the lineup here, that doesn't hit left-handed pitching all that well for the White Sox.
03:04So, maybe just keeping it simple and saying, ride that streak.
03:07Because I would be surprised if Toronto loses today.
03:09Now, we don't know exactly what the lineup is going to be.
03:11In day games, sometimes it would be tricky where some key players might sit down.
03:14But instead of messing with the totals and saying, ooh, I hope maybe they don't score.
03:18Like, just take Toronto to win again.
03:20Good baseball team, bad baseball team.
03:22Trust them to win it.
03:23Minus 154.
03:23It's not a crazy price on this.
03:25Extend that streak.
03:26Extend.
03:27Extend.
03:28Extend.
03:28How about that?
03:29Their 10th straight win yesterday, DRS.
03:32In only seven innings, a range-shortened game.
03:35And still played at six runs against the Sox.
03:38Can the Dodgers snap?
03:39Now a five-game slide.
03:41Or will the Brewers pick up a sweep today with some afternoon baseball in Milwaukee?
03:47Good news for the Dodgers.
03:49Who is on the bus for the first time since late April, making his return.
03:53Who has been their de facto ace, Tyler Glass, now at least on paper.
03:58Minus 158 as Glass now makes his first start since April 27th.
04:03What can we expect out of Glass now?
04:05And will it result in the Dodgers snapping this five-game skid?
04:09I think they do snap out of it today.
04:11Like, you had the Miz on the mound yesterday.
04:12I was like, ooh, man, left-handed pitcher, really tough.
04:14You have the opposite on the mound today.
04:16Soft-tossing Jose Quintana.
04:18Now here's the issue.
04:19It doesn't strike anybody out, which means the ball should be in play.
04:21But he is a crafty veteran pitcher.
04:23But if you're just trusting the analytics, 28 pitchers on the card today for me, Ben,
04:27over the past 60 days, minimum of 10 innings pitch.
04:29You know, it's number 26.
04:30That's Jose Quintana on that card.
04:32I do think the Dodger bats break out in this game.
04:35And you know what?
04:36I'm going to trust Tyler Glass now not to go three innings and give up six earned runs today.
04:41Bounce back for the Dodgers.
04:42I'll trust Glass now, even though I probably shouldn't.
04:45Hmm.
